to be fair to all ROMs all over HOX forum
1- All ROMs thats being build on original Sense from HTC are stable so the differences are mild once it comes to stability and battery
2-For AOSP ROMs try going for ROMs being build with 4.2.2 as a base since they are all good , 4.3 is a little bit new and it may have some undiscovered bugs , but things may have changed since I havnt used any AOSP ROM since Sence 5 release
I have nearly tested everything here and I have nothing to complain about ,

Hi guys..this is my first post here....I have wildfire for like 5 months now... Since then I have tried many roms like cm7, wildpuzzle, and many more... Currently I'm using zempuzzle which is an awesome fast and stable ROM with sense based... It's an a Android 2.2.1 ....
Guys I'm looking for a custom ROM sense based having 2.3.x Android os... Have tried sense on fire but it's isn't that stable....
Can anyone suggest me any custom ROM???

Please read around a bit before asking already discussed to death questions again and again. There is NO Gingerbread Sense ROM at the moment which is stable enough for daily use. Senseonfire is the closest.
Thanks buddy and I'm sorry for posting it again... I had already read all the possible posts but didn't find any ROM ... So I had to post the query myself ...

Hey guys I just flashed a sense 4.0 ROM but the cam doesn't work I was wondering if I could use the drivers from the Stock ICS camera from the ROM that I was using (ICECREAM JIBWICH 2.0 ) because it has a woking camera ?
Well if you know how to pull the drivers from the stock rom and put them onto a custom rom go for it. But I have not had camera problems on either the CyanogenMod 9 beta 13, nor the EliteMod ICS rom I'm using now on my G2.
There is no stock ics rom for our phones. The camera that is working with some custom ics roms are patched/hacked and not yet 100% the only ones that work are all compilled from the same rom and will not work across a different base. If you have a sense rom that you like you need to have a hacked camera for that rom. If it were as easy as stealing a cm9 based camera mod and putting it in a sense rom it would be done by that rom developers by alapha.x
Until the drivers for ours or similar device is released we have to happy with what we get. And until then expect flaws

I might be wrong but this is what i think
The 1st link you posted is managed by the CM developers, the second link is Tripndroid who based his/her/their rom on the base of the CM developers rom. Basically adding and removing tweaks that this person/team likes and dislikes
If your considering rooting and installing a custom rom. I can recommend the 1st link been using their roms for more than a month now and it's very good rom. If there is anything about sense that you like and will miss try the Sense roms. (Viper and ARHD) are the two major ones that i looked into, before settling on CM10.

hi there just adding to the above post. the first rom is developed with an ultimate goal of becoming the official CM rom, and is ready for everyday use soo far from my experience. The second one is Tripndroid, and he adds his own tweaks as far as i know. however i havent used his ROM yet to know for sure.

Hi there, I am running the ROM from the first post and it's brilliant. I have tried the second one and found it had quite a few bugs and was not nearly as finished as the first ROM. I am busy downloading alpha 5 now to try and am sure it will be just as great as the rest of his updates have been.
Thought I would give my info based on user experience of both ROMs. Also depends on what you looking for; quick ROM or fancy looking, awesome features or a stripped out version.
Well thanks guys, i think i'll go for the TeamNDVRu when i receive my phone, but still waiting september to see if it's worth it or not.
And what about the known issues ?
- Occasional soft-reboots with GPS On + Facebook ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=2184 )
- WiFi direct doesnt work
- MHL output is rotated incorrectly to portrait in horizontal mode (but workaround added since alpha 8 for hw decoded videos/youtube. Use bsplayer from playstore, almost all videos play with it in correct rotation in hwoverlay)
- No FM radio app in ROM. But Spirit FM works from market (it's commercial!)
- USB storage copies slower than normal
- Some paid apps loses settings/acconts due to this android jellybean problem: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34880 Solution is to backup with Titanium Backup and restore to internal memory, not to sd

Some of them will only occur if you have special need for something. (e.g. wifi direct)
Some of them don't occur for everyone. (facebook+gps reboot)
None of them are really a huge concern if you are willing to try jelly bean. And for most of them there is a workaround, fix given in the text you quoted. I have a jelly bean rom installed and I have to say that I don't really feel any negative impact by those known bugs/issues. But do note, that most of these ROMs are not as stable as the 4.0.4 ROMs like ViperX.
I have been using tbaldens ROM and it has been quite good. The ones by trip I have found to be a bit unstable.

if you can i would like to get a few basic tips to know what's going on..

You will learn a lot reading the forum A lot of threads have sticky topics, that answer most of the questions you might get, pretty well.
One thing is certain - you will love the phone! The only downside for me is the batterylife, then again, most smartphones don't have great battery life.

Basically, the two different types of Rome are sense based (stock Rom with different modifications) and the aosp roms (built from sources, like cyanogen or aokp).you will find first type in android development forum, the aosp roms and kernels in the original development forum.
While sense roms are much better on things, that are connected to hardware, like battery life, sound quality, camera quality, the aosp roms are smoother (although with jelly bean sense roms, this is arguable) and deliver stock android exporience like nexus.
Now, the siuation with sense roms: since jb was leaked, the main ones are based on the leaks, but you can only flash them with newest hboot (bootlader). And this one you can only flash having the right cid (your location number, the European unlocked and Taiwanese are the only right ones for new hboot)

Firstly , welcome to the One X forum of xda !
I'll start from the basics as you asked .
If you want to flash custom ROMs , you'll have to unlock bootloader , root and flash custom recovery ( CWM or TWRP ) . Due to unknown reasons , HTC is not giving us One X users S-Off bootloader which unlocks a lot of features . But also , it's not much of a restriction if you're used to it . You can follow these 2 noob-proof videos if you want to root your phone .
Please read the quote I'm going to write below as it clarifies the reply of Zlotin's a lot .

There are four types of different ROMs which are Sense-based ( obviously you know what it is already ) , AOSP ( Android Open Source Project ) this ROM will give you the complete experience of android , AOKP ( Android Open Kang Project ) this ROM is much likely same as AOSP but it has more custom features and lastly the MIUI ( Mobile Internet/Mission Impossible User Interface ) this ROM is completely by itself , it gives you a ... kinda iOS UI and other custom features of its own . You can find all these ROMs in both android development and original android development forums . The different between these both forums is that Original means just that...originally built not just themed or apps changed or a few add-ons or tweaks. So there would be the original AOKP release, the official CM releases, original MIUI release, first and only first deodexed stock ROM, and kernels with full source link posted. Anything else is regular developement. The Original Development is to give added recognition to full real developers putting together actual code, not winzipping things together. Now the JB-Sense ROMs are final-versions which are not leaks as Zlotin said . But to flash JB-Sense ROMs , you need to have updated hboot version which is restricted by CIDs . Currently , only Taiwan have the officially released hboot as they have received they JB through OTA . The European ones are leaks not official but still usable .

Aha! New here too and I was wondering about that, thought it was AOSP vs sense then saw a sense version in there .. then I thought its just because theres so much development one forum isnt enough! -which is true too i guess. Anyway its amazing to see so much happening here after the sad story of official support which hurt development for my Atrix so much.
thank you very much guys you've been very helpful and nice i'm glad to join this community, and if ill have further question ill ask

welcome, sorry to be such a bastard but this is not the right section
Hello.
My friend asked me to reflash his Desire Z, so I'm looking for some stable daily ROM (ICS or higher).
For now I chosen:
MIUI 4.2.28 multi
AOSP 4.2.2 Jelly Baby (really not sure about this ROM)
Sensei 1.3.0
Sabsa Prime v15
any other tips?
Thanks
Normally best dd ROM questions are not to be asked, but I assume sense you are doing this for a friend you won't easily be able to flash a bunch and try them out as what is normally suggested
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348266
You will find a list of all ROMs here, many will say the most stable and fastest ROMs will be gingerbread based as that's as far as HTC brought this device. But many 4.x ROMs are quite nice for dds
Best recommendation is to flash a couple of the "more popular" ROMs and make nandroid of each and place on SD card, then instruct your friend how to easily change between them so s/he can decide for themselves what is best

Thanks for reply.
I know that it's not possible to say one ROM, but on the other hands always exist ROM which can't be marked as very stable (e.g. KitKats build now)
I really missed your list, thanks for info
(Because I already found some list, but it wasn't updated for a long time)
Anyway thanks for you work
BTW the first 3 ROMs has same link in your list
Also still I need to downgrade the firmware?
