I just received my DT-910 charger today and right off the bat it didn't work. The phone would not charge in portrait or landscape modes. I messed with it a bit, and ended up cutting and taping a thick plastic stick to the bottom of the back rest to raise my phone up in landscape mode so the charger comes in contact with the Qi coil in the phone. It still won't work in portrait mode which isn't a big deal since I mainly bought this charger to use it in landscape mode. Has anyone else that bought this charger had to make modifications to get it to work?

What's funny is, is that I also just purchased it today from a guy from Craigslist. I bought 2 for $20.
You don't have to modify it for it to charge in portrait but landscape mode you do since it won't connect.

I wonder why I can't get it to charge in portrait then? Not a big deal. I did notice my phone is getting pretty warm sitting on the charger. It didn't get a fraction this hot on the Official Nexus charger.
Does the phone even recognize the charger? Like do the lightning bolt sign come up on the battery? Does the phone make a noise when it make contact? Do the Dt-910 light up?
At first I thought the charger wasn't working because I'm used to the fast charge of the OEM usb charger. It works but it works a bit slower than the OEM charger.

The charger only recognizes the phone in landscape mode, especially now since modifying the charger, light comes on, phone makes noise and my battery icon shows it's charging. I have the Spigen Slim Armor case on, but it definitely does not affect charging as it works with this charger and my Nexus wireless charger. I'd like to find an app showing what voltage and amperage this is charging at if possible, I got some digging to do.

That's exactly why its not working in portrait. I've read that the Spigen case raises the height of the phone which puts the phone out of range from the charging coil. Remove the case and it will work flawlessly.

That didn't even occur to me. Ha, thanks man.
I had the same issue - not being able to use the charger in portrait mode with a case on - and I solved it by cracking open the charger and moving the coil up a little bit. It really didn't take much, just take your time and you will be fine.

Just found this Seidio Innodock Jr. charging cradle for the Galaxy Nexus and ordered it from Shopandroid.com. The thing I like about this is that I can sit it on my night stand and charge the phone while using it for an alarm clock. And hopefully I can do that without removing the silicon cover for the phone, which makes this better than a desk dock for my needs. Removing that tight fitting cover every night and putting it back every morning can be a bit of a pain.

UPDATE:
I received the cradle today, so here's a review on it... First, this is a nice looking charging stand. It's not your typical square box shape. It can be used for either charging or transfering data with your phone - just like plugging your phone into your computer with the USB cable that came with it. The picture shows a power adapter plug on the back of the unit along with the USB port. However, that little hole is NOT for a power adaptor. It probably used to be, but now it's just a hole with a little plastic plug inserted to close it off. So, if you want to use this cradle for charging your phone on a night table (which is why I bought it), then you have to also buy a 5v AC adaptor that you can plug a standard USB cable into (like this one). This cradle does come with a standard USB data/charge cable (with a full size usb plug on both ends).
Perhaps the nicest thing about this cradle is that you can fit almost any phone on it that has a center-bottom mini USB port (like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus). AND, best of all, you can leave the phone in the case. There is plenty of room to acommodate almost any tight fitting hard or soft case. The same feature, however, makes the phone a bit wobbly on the cradle. But the USB plug does fit snuggly, so there's little chance of the phone falling off. The USB port on the cradle does pivot back and forth, to allow the phone to rest against the back support regardless of the width of the phone, and whether or not you have the phone in a case.
Just making a suggestion here, but if you want a dock for your bed side, may I suggest this one? Only for the fact that it has a second battery charger in the dock as well as it is only 20 bucks

I was reading the review there about the charger and the person says it can only be charged via usb. Can you plug that cable into the power outlet adapter that comes with the Nexus? If so, that shouldn't be a big deal if this becomes your primary charger.
I also wonder if I would be able to leave my Incipio NGP case on while using this to charge my phone?
What that reviewer was saying is that there is no mini USB input. Looking at the back of the thing, it looks like the power source can either be a standard USB cable or the plug-in ac adaptor that comes with it. I'll be using the plug-in AC adaptor. Obviously, this cradle was made to fit a large variety of phones, not just the GN.
It also looks like it will take almost any skin-type case, but may have trouble with anything too thick. I'll let you know more when I get it in a few days.
UPDATE: That little hole is NOT a power port, so you need a 5v USB power adaptor if you want to plug this into an AC outlet. See updates to original post.

This one's pretty close. Just won't charge the phone in a skin case. Also, it says it's for the i9250 model, and will not fit the Verizon i515 model.

I saw that one. Ideally, I want to find something that works with a case on the phone and has a slot for a second battery.

Dang! I wish I'd seen that one before I bought this one. I'd guess that the 2100 m Ah extended battery that VZW sells should fit. It doesn't add much thickness at all beyond the natural curve at the bottom of the phone.

I also just ordered this one, should be here by Friday. The description on amazon says it has a removable insert that will help accommodate different sized cases, so I would bet if it doesn't fit initially, removing that insert should allow you to fit the extended battery in there.
Unfortunately I don't have the extended battery so I won't be able to tell you for sure. Hopefully someone else that has ordered it does have the extended batt and can give you a definite answer.

You may encounter trouble because of the One's all-metal body. Your case will need to completely isolate the coil from the body for this to work, if memory serves me right. Admittedly, it is aluminum, so I'm not altogether certain it will be an issue.

I would really like to see something like this. A couple of challenges I think would be keeping the plug area on the bottom to as thin as possible and second would be to keep the case as thin and small as possible.

Post pics of it on the phone and let us know what kind of charger your using. It looks like you could rip off that coil and place it in any case if it's thin .
Definitely report on results. I tried to make something like this for my One XL, and while it worked as far as charging went, it was unpredictable and seemed to make the phone unstable, though I could never figure out why. I suspect it's not just the charging current but that the phone's charging circuits and drivers need to be tuned for wireless.

Thanks for letting us know about this. I'd not seen that, but it looks like just what I'd like to try and fit between my phone and case. The lack of wireless charging was the biggest reason I held off switching from my DNA to the One. I love the convenience of just plopping my phone on the orb charger during the day. A lot of cool, useful information in this thread. Thanks everyone!
I have read miles may vary when it comes to these chargers and moto360. Like to start a thread for anyone that is able to charge their 360 successfully without any issues. Some of the issues include getting too hot and auto shutting down due to temp. I will update this list as much as I can.
Hopefully this is helpful for everyone.
Compatible:
PowerBot® PB1020 Qi - $14.99 - According to some reports, runs a little warm.
DiGiYes® Qi Cylindric Wireless Charger Charging Pad Charging Statio... - $12.59 - Works with closed loop bands like the Pebble steel band.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Qi Compatible Wireless Charging Pad - $41.95
Anker® Ultra-Slim Qi-Enabled Wireless Charging Pad - $22.99
Not Compatible:
JBL Powerup Speaker with Qi - Seems to overheat a little and stop charging.
Palm Pre - although it triggers docking mode, it does not actually charge according to users.
Probably not common but I have a JBL Powerup Speaker with Qi built in (was co-branded with Nokia)....works like a charm.
I would also like to see a good list for this. There were a few articles out about how 3rd party Qi chargers could charge the moto 360, but at most had one or two models on there.
This works for me
http://www.amazon.com/PowerBot®-PB1020-Inductive-Compatible-Smartphones/dp/B00F6SPYJS/

Wonder if the warmness of the chargers are related to the amperage draw. The charger only gives 850mAh, so if a pocket battery gives more, maybe the watch takes more and heats up

Been using the Samsung Galaxy S4 Qi Compatible Wireless Charging Pad since day one with the watch. It works great. I never yet used the stock charger and dock.
I tested the charging rate and it was 5 volts at about 0.5 amp. I'm using a 2 amp power source but it appears not needed.
I got it from Samsung on sale for $25 USD months ago. Currently its on amazon for around $40. Not worth it because there are less expensive options.

Just got my Kosee dock in the post today and hadn't seen anyone mention it before. Works great with my Cruzerlite case! Finally no more taking it off every (other ) night just to charge the thing.

Can you swivel the "base where the magnetc connector sits"?
The bit that is raised with the connector on moves freely although feels sturdy.

How about charging speed? is it the same like the original charger dock?
Are you using that Kosee dock with a quick charger? I got a quick charger with my phone and I want to know if it's safe to use with this dock before ordering it.
I am just using the standard adapter that came with the phone and charging overnight. Is there any way I can check the device to see if it's compatible?

Check the charger and see if it says EP880 or EP881 on it. That's the model number of the fast chargers.
If you do have one of the above-mentioned chargers, could you tell me if you've noticed the dock getting very warm or that your charging rate is somewhat slower than without it? I would really appreciate your feedback.
It's 880. Haven't noticed it getting warm. I just ran a battery monitoring app that showed the mA it was receiving... It was around 8/900mA plugged in normally and 5/600 when docked. Guess that's a bad sign! On a plus the battery doesn't seem to drain any faster - hit 8 hours screen on time yesterday.

Thanks for the info. I guess the magnetic pins can't support the charging speeds of the mains charger. I'll buy one and test for myself. I need something to dock my phone anyway.
What was the battery app that you used?
Gonna buy one !
this looks great, i will buy one !
thanks !

is the lower charge rate going to be a bad effect on the battery in the long run? how long does it take to charge from almost empty to 100%? does it feel secure/magnet strong enough to keep the phone from falling off from a slight movement?
just got this charge dock, and i like it. prob the only option right now for those who don't want to worry about if their case would fit.
where can I get this dock?
the links direct to another dock.
did they change the design?

Found the docking station with the (old & good design) on AliExpress

Hi All,
Could anyone confirm this dock works much better than the sony dock when it comes to having the phone is a case?
I believe this bottom moves to assist with the docking of the phone?
Adapts to any size
Hi Shad,
Indeed the bottom helps.
It's fixed to a joint so will rotate as much as needed to adapt to the size/thickness.

The slower you charge the battery the less heat it will create. The less heat is better for the battery since heat accelerates the cell wearing out. If your charging it overnight - slow is better since you have the time.
Never charge your phone in direct sunlight or in a hot car if you want to keep your phone more then 1-2 years. You can shave off more then 100 cycles from it's life if you do it repeatedly.

Are you using the cable from the dock or the cable which came with the charger? The Sony charger only works at full output when it's usb cable is used.
Will it be possible for you to post some pics of the case, specially side with the buttons open, as I am looking into getting this case. thanks!
Seen a lot of different ones on amazon and ebay. Just wondering what wireless chargers are worth getting.
I use Samsung's wireless charging stand, since I had it already from my S7. It works great with the G6.
I wonder why LG did come out with some new stuff for the LG G6?
Samsung had a bit of new Qi chargers( Dex), headphones..etc?

Is the fast wireless charging working on it? I read somewhere fast wireless charging doesn't work on Samsung's chargers

LG has their own mew fast charging unit. But they did not include the tech in yhe LG G6 they'll leave it for the v30 im sure. Imo if im wirelessly charging I'm not trying to fast charge anyhow. I've used many and IMO almost all built the same. Some have 3 coils for easier placement and some are smaller to take up less room. I literally just ordered this. 20% coupon code too. Plus Amazon 30 day return policy is amazing. For testing stuff. Not at all my video or advertising just sharing my experience.
I went with the CHOETECH Qi Model T513 wireless charger. Works great. I don't like stand chargers because I have kids and I'm sure they'd manage to knock my phone off of it... repeatedly. () I chose this one because it was decently priced, only about $20, and works great. Also has nearly all great reviews.

It just shows as standard charging, but typically I only need to charge my G6 at the end of the day and let it charge overnight, so I don't mind. If I need a quick charge, I just use the type C charger.
I got the CHOETECH T811C. It's cheap and seems pretty solid. Works through my case with no problems. I don't have any issues trying to find a "sweet spot" for it to start charging either, like I had with a previous charger.
I bought two chargers. One for work and one for home (bedside).
I use this one at work (the charge light was too bright in the room at night):

This one at home:

So far, I'm very happy with both.

I've had this for a couple years now and just pulled it out the closet. I recently picked up a G6 and thought I'd give it a shot. To my surprise, it worked like a charm. I haven't noticed how fast it charges because I leave on overnight just because it's easier to deal with in the dark. I haven't noticed any heating issues as it doesn't seem hot when I remove it. All in all it has worked well for me.

I too use this charger. Works great for me.
EDIT: Used to work. Now it works for about 30 seconds and then flashes error. I think that it might be because of my case. Not sure thought as I'm not going to take my case off every time I charge.
I also have one of these https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Wire...sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+wireless+fast+charger It works fine even with my case. It didn't work well for my G4 and the tylt worked well with it not my G6 works well with my samsung and not with my tylt. Go figure.
I have two of the vertical stands chargers from Seneo. Phone sits on its all day at work, and all night when sleeping. NEVER gets hot. Definitely recommend and purchased off Amazon. I wish it didn't have such a bright charging indicator light on it or at least the option to shut it off, but nothing a little black marker can't fix.

I had a cheapie Adrema, surprise it works and charges at 1.5 amps, faster than my original Samsung wireless ones. My G6 also works with my Belkin one.
Greg
I use this wireless charging stand by Choetech: https://www.amazon.com/CHOETECH-Wireless-Charging-Qi-enabled-Included/dp/B010B6PSMC/

Any good with a soldering iron?
A resistor of ~330 ohms 1/8 watt in series with the LED will dim it to what should be a suitable level.
Maybe I tinker with stuff too much

I can solder, not great but doable. Although in this case it's not remotely worth it. If I were to open this up I'd just disconnect the light altogether.

Yeah I get ya.
But I'd just have to get inside, the over-bright LED would do my head in. I bet it's blue too...?
I definitely tinker too much.
Hi,
I have recently bought choetech wireless charger for my g6. The charger also comes with micro USB charging cable. What i love most is that this wireless charger comes with integrated smart chip inside it that resist the wireless charger pad from overheating.

The official Samsung wireless charger seems to work pretty good and comes with it's own micro usb wall plug. It's on sale for $9.99.

I walked into a Best Buy and ask them for a price match. The price match was approved quickly.
Picture frame with built in wireless charging.
Purchased Qi charger off Aliexpress and taped inside picture frame. Had to remove glass for reliable 1 amp charging. Phone held in place on the edge of inner frame.
