Please see the attached screenshots.
The screenshot with 3 widgets on the home screen: The top one is Yahoo Weather's widget, the middle is Cyanogenmod Lockclock, and the bottom is Zopper. For both Cyanogenmod Lockclock and Zooper, Yahoo is selected as the weather provider.
As you can see, Zooper cannot get correct weather information from Yahoo, even the location (Kobe, Japan in this case) is correctly recognized.
When I open the Yahoo weather in web browser without enabling Location of my phone, my location is recognized as "Japan, Japan" as attached screenshot, and the weather information of "Japan, Japan" is same as what I can see in Zooper widget. It seems that Zooper cannot send correct locality information (WOEID?) to Yahoo Weather.
Of course I know I have other options of weather provider in Zooper ("Open Weather Map" and "Yr.no"), however Yahoo is most accurate in weather forecast at least here in Japan. This is not unique for me but many users in Japan are in the same situation. Some of them e-mailed this issue to Zooper support team, but no one can find out how to solve this issue. (For my case I was only advised to change the weather provider.)
Is this unique for Japan? Is there any possibility to solve this?

All,
I posted this on another thread but I got no response so I thought I'd give a shot here...
I'm pretty far along with a program I'm developing for release on this board (DnP - Dock-n-Play) that plays an animated today screen with TF3D style Clock, Weather Icon, tasks and notifications while docked and on power -- the normal state for my phone while I'm at work is to have it craddled (docked) next to my monitor. When undocked the program auto-terminates -- although a daemon continues to run in background to relaunch should you re-dock.
I want to have an option to display the current weather as an icon similar to the good work A_C does with his fantastic S2U2 aaplication... I have sample code for pulling weather from a number of sources so that is not the issue... what I need is how to find (in the registry I'm assuming) of what the currently displayed weather location is in TouchFlow3d.
If anyone knows the key to getting to this information can you please respond. -Thx

When I was changing my weatherdatabase I found keys in the registry.
HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila; there is a key Weather.Current.City.

Thanks! That was what I was looking for
Hello everyone.
I don't know why, but the idea of extremely handy widget is not covered yet.
I'm talking about samsung widget, "calendar clock", or "calendar organizer", I don't remember the exact name. The idea of the widget is that you see your today events on a round clock. Samsung made the idea, the widget wasn't that excellent.
I've found only one widget on the market that is very similar to this idea. It's called "Clock Organizer Weather"
BUT it's ugly!! Has no customizations, and has weather implemented, which is to my mind not quite necessary. And one more drawback is that you can't really see what's the time at the moment.
So, the question is if somebody can: pull out the samsung widget from TW 2.0 | suggest me a better widget app | develop a new one (that would be very nice indeed)
Thank you for your attention.
P.S.: Here's a screenshot of an app, if you're too lazy to click the link

Maybe somebody was also searching for it, so I'll post a link.
Samsung TW Calendar Clock Widget is working in the following TW4.5 launcher.

Having problems with my Google Weather Widget auto-updating. I've got it set to update once every hour. Every now and then, when I turn my phone on, the widget displays "weather unavailable."
This doesn't happen with the Weatherbug widget, but I prefer the clean looks of Google's.
Anyone else having this problem?

Right -- failed to mention this in the original post. The widget immediately updates if you refresh manually.
I had the same problem with the genie widget on my N1 too. I don't think they have changed it. One work around I have found is to open the news and weather app.
Hopefully they update the app.
Mines the same.
As soon as it loses data reception or GPS it loses all its data. Quite annoying as I like to turn the GPS off when i'm not using it... Can't seem to position itself from mobile reception like my previous phones
I just upgraded from a HTC EVO 4G to a Samsung Note 2. Thus far, I am quite impressed - the new phone is better than the old one in just about every way - except, you guessed it, the clock widget.
Ont he HTC EVO, tapping the clock widget brought up options for setting the time zone, setting a timer, using a stopwatch, and setting an alarm. The clock widget on my wife's Samsung Galaxy S2 function similarly, though it adds clocks for other time zones. I would like to have this functionality on my new phone, but I am struggling to find a widget which offers all of these functions. Note that I have no interest in weather functionality since I use WeatherBug.
Is it possible to copy the widget from the S2 to the Note 2? The S2 is rooted, but the Note 2 is not (yet). If so, can you please provide some guidance? If not, can you recommend a good widget?
Many thanks.
Use MIUI digital clock widget. You can set what app to bring up when you tap the hours or minutes area.
I use HD widgets from the play store.. almost like the sense widget but you can customize it plus a lot more very useful widgets

Beautiful Widgets?
I have been having a issue with google calendar for quiet a few weeks now and I have yet to find the solution.
I'm able to add new events to my calendar on my phone using the google calendar app without a problem initially. if I go into the app the correct time will appear there, but if for example I would look on my google calendar widget or if I check my calendar on my computer the time will be off by an hour. The timezone on my google calendar account is set correctly as you can see here..

I checked to make sure the time zone my google calendar was set properly on my computer as well.. Yet whenever I create a event from my phone it will pop up as the wrong time on google calendar on the computer.
The really odd part is that if you look at the top right corner of the following screen shot from google calendar you can see the time zone of google calendar is not set correctly, yet the time on my phone is.
Additionally if I change the event time zone to the correct one on my computer it will switch the time zone in the google calendar app to the incorrect one.
It's some sort of vicious cycle!
Any would be greatly appreciated...
