Just wondering if I could use the arc as a remote camera for like security I have two extra arcs and would like to try setting something up

Not possible unless you're willing to write the program from scratch that will allow you to use it as a remote camera.

Hi guys I have an lt18i and I have my liveview connected successfully. What it is ive installed plugins but my liveview and liveview application doesnt pick up the plugins. Says there are none installed. By the way I have ics.
Also liveware manager refuses to install or update. Says something but unsigned file

Hi,
U are not the only who has this issue. Sony is still looking for the solution.
If you root the phone and delete the liveware app after that download the newest, it would work without problems.
Otherwise there is no official solution yet.
I went to a repair centre and they downgraded to gb from ics because I couldn't use my smartwatch...

Move App from SD-card ...to.... Memory
Damn that is a bugger though. It wouldve been nice to have the plugins

I'm considering getting a LiveView watch off ebay, and was wondering if it's compatible with ICS. Now I've seen this thread I might bite the bullet and get one for £19.95 they seem a bargain.

That is cheap. It is compatible but so far none of the plugins seems to compatible with ics on any ics device due to the liveview application so its from sonys side. But its still useful. Ive been getting texts which ive been checking during my training at work.

The easiest way is to root then use link to sd to convert LiveWare Manager to a user app, update from Play Store then convert back to a System app. That's what I did, mow just waiting for my LiveView to get delivered by Mail Man.

Does the LiveView Calendar work with ICS or is it only Gingerbread & lower that can connect with the Calendar?
Roland
Sent from my LT18i using Tapatalk 2
I've been using my LiveView with my Arc S since I fully charged it, and with the LiveView Charm app installed and started on the Arc S I've only had connection dropouts when I've strayed to far away from my phone. The lack of compatability with ICS on the Plugin front is a pain, but since the LiveView has a decent digital Watch screensaver and as far as I can tell all the stock Plugins that come with the LiveView work, I know to the All events tile, Text messages tile, Facebook tile & Find phone tile works. Not too sure about the Missed calls tile as I've not had any missed walls since I've been using the LiveView, the only tile that doesn't seem to be working is the Calendar tile.

i have Xperia Arc S and live view watch and the connection keep drop when not using the watch on ICS 4.04 ,even when the watch in the range of the mobile Bluetooth .
its ugly thing that you need to re-establish connection every half hour , it make the watch kind of useless object .
Ive purchased an app called liveview manager and it kinda prevents the drop issue. I mean its once every couple of hours even then its very rare

i just simply connected live view with my arc n tried un few other roms i am facing some weird problem I CANT GET FACEBOOK INBOX MESSAGES but the neews feed is always updated to my live view device even if i cheak into inbox in live view facebook

Is there any way at all to connect the xperia play to a hd TV? (hdmi)? Without adding your own port in. Could you use an app to stream the play screen to another Android device which has hdmi and go from there?
Thanks

Not even with the streaming idea mentioned above?
Sent from my R800i using XDA
That streaming app can only be used for music and pics doestn have the power for video plus theres no real way to do it our device isnt powerful enough the xbound might work because its a gpu on a hdmi connection which you send data to and it does all the work. We are still waiting for the release.

this one works, i havent tested myself
After some research I've discovered an app bundle called Droidmote Server and Droidmote Client. It claims to be working with Xperia Play's physical controls. However I haven't found any video proof, only a couple of vague xda posts.

Personally, I don't mind the touchpads not working, as long as the gamepad is responsive. How is it? When connecting, phone and tablet via Wifi HOtspot, does data get eaten up?

AFAIK it wont work via hotspot as your kinda not on the same network
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk 2
It can be connected via hotspot, but i doubt it would use actual data
Then how is the connection made?

Can't you connect through a proxy?
dear i am same situation but when i use hotspot shield from (1 market)its like a google play every thing goes better. try it
http://www.anchorfree.com/hotspotshield-VPN-for-android.php
it also for pc
Many people use anonymous proxy server, obviously finding that ability to change their IP address for free is worth the risk. You should try it.
Simply use DROID vpn free free 1GB us server... It will unlock full market with books magazine movie and music no need to use market unloker or anything else
Cheers

Hi there!
Sorry if this was asked before. I can't find it
Is it possible to use the xperia play as a controller on the PC? I don't need the XPlay, because I have got a new phone, but I don't want to give my play away. Is there any solution? Via Bluetooth, USB, Wireless?
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
I have not tried this myself but perhpas if you combine this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nemex.nJoy&feature=search_result
With this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.locnet.gamekeyboard&hl=nl
You might be able to map the touchscreen locations of the 1rst app to hardware buttons with the 2nd and controll it that way?
PS: To propery use the 2nd app your phone needs to be rooted, not sure about the 1rst app.
Kind regards, Stefan.
