It worked flawlessly with my note 2 until the 4.3 update. Now it won't connect. I did get to a point when it asked my to enter a pin number, but where do I get the pin number?

I have a galaxy s4 mini and i have been told that it is blocked by the manufacturer. When i put my sim in it, data and reception works fine but i cannot make or receive calls because it says 'Conditional forwarding active'. It is not a problem with the settings i have made sure of this. I just wanted to know if there is any way of being able to use the phone. Will rooting and using cfw work?
I am unable to make or receive call & unable to make or receive SMS after inserting working Airtel carrier Indian network micro sim onto my Note 10.1 2014 32gb SM-P601 3g model. I got sms from Airtel asking me to save internet configuration & access points. But latter when I dial 121 to Airtel call center for test call it gave "Not register on network" message on screen.
I have attached screen shot & short printed note received with the box. What does that note mean?
Please help how register on network?

Okay, I have a Galaxy Note II i317, it used to be my mother's until she had a very tiny crack across the screen to which she got a new Note II at the time. I recently decided to try and use the phone with Straight Talk....
A few things I've done/tried...
Putting the Straight Talk SIM card into the phone, reads No SIM/Emergency Calls Only
Changed the Firmware back to 4.1.1 from 4.1.2 and tried to unlock the phone using the unlock code...unsuccessful
Tried Rooting the phone and using TWRP to change the Baseband... no avail...
I guess the main question I have is if I can even do anything at all to use the phone, or would the IMEI be blocked because of the replacement phone?
Any and all help would be appreciated!!!
Thanks!!![/SIZE]
IMEI should not be blocked...(check with carrier to confirm)..
Straight talk is essentially AT&T...but does use a different APN...
And if the SIM is not provisioned for use by your carrier...the phone will show the inactive SIM message.
Once you have determined the SIM is active and correct...you can set up the new APN in your mobile settings menu and be good...
Give them a call and they can help...
You will likely need a new SIM CARD....g
Should I call Straight Talk, At&t, or both? I know the SIM works in my S III currently. I just really don't want to let this phone go to waste.
Give straight talk a call first...as they provide the service..g
I got a Verizon Galaxy Note 8 because we are switching to VZW, but not until Saturday. So now I've got this amazing new phone, and I can't do anything with it because I'm stuck without being able to activate until I have a SIM card for it. Any way to bypass this? And if I do, can I activate it later without having to hard reset?
EDIT:
Answered my own question. I noticed it was showing 4g coverage, so I popped the SIM try and turns out they helpfully shipped it with a card in there, so I removed it, and was able to activate with Wifi.
I had a vzw galaxy s 5 (bl unlocked and rooted) and when I upgraded to the vzw note 8 it came with a new sim card already installed (I assume, as I have never actually checked). all I had to do was call the 1 800 activate my new note 8 phone everything activated and off I went.
To bypass activation on the Verizon Note 8 Disconnect from WiFi "not needed" Remove any sim card from the phone "not needed" Then go through Setup Wizard. Then selecting Skip on every screen that you can except for EULA screens you need to accept the terms but not all options need to be checked this is up to you. Even when connect to WiFi screen comes up just select skip and you will be just fine and complete the setup giving you complete access to phone features Good Luck!
