[dev] [help] [free beer] ace 3 gt 7275r lte - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

CALLING ALL GALAXY ACE 2 DEV'S!
I'm asking this on behalf of the few owners of the Galaxy Ace 3. Could we/I possibly have some time with one/a few of you devs to help port/compile a working CWM and CM Rom for the Ace 3. I promise I will donate a good sum of money towards the dev(s) who help take part and successfully finish the project

There's a cm rom alredy. If you missed it, here's the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2800259

Sprint Perseus Kernel

Hi all,
Since we have a pure stock rom now, if anyone has the stock kernel extracted; would it be possible to get the stock kernel to AndreiLux so he can modify his Perseus Kernel for the sprint Galaxy Note 2? I'm not sure if things are happing behind the scenes or not? I remember browsing his thread and him saying that he would be willing to port over the kernel if he had a copy of the stock kernel for the Sprint version.
By the way, the custom rom development for the Sprint Galaxy Note II has been stellar so far! I really appreciate all of the devs and contributors here who are helping to make this phone the best it can be! I couldn't find a thread like this so I thought I'd make one.

Rom convert

Hey. I take a look on ace forum and i saw some more activity than on gio. Would someone port this rom for Gio ? : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2234221
If I had time, I really would do because porting Gingerbread roms to Gio from Ace is very easy (in most cases; I have done this one time myself and had luckily no errors). Try to search in the Gio forum because there are tutorials how to do this maybe you can do it yourself (you just have to replace some files in the zip and hope). Currently I have too much work to do for school.
Btw.: Sad that there's no developer really and only working for the Galaxy Gio. The Gio is not that bad if you do not wan't to play any games. But without developers I have to sell it (if someone buys such an old phone what I doubt) and replace it by a Firefox OS phone. A fully working CyanogenMod 10.0 would be the best rom for me. MMBs version has this nasty security force close bug. But all this is off topic, but I have to write this because I still like my Gio even if I have a much better phone (Galaxy Nexus).

[Q] Ambiguous device names

Searching for downloads in the Cyanogenmod download page, there are two devices that seem to be appropriate for my Samsung SPH-D700;
a Galaxysmtd and an Epicmtd. These are further designated as Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Epic 4g (respectively). Will someone knowledgeable please clarify which designation is suited for my device?
A real NOOB!! but successfully rooted and updated the Samsung SPH-D700 with Cyanogen 10.2.
Thanks to all the terrific people developing these new ROMS!!
