Rom convert - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

Hey. I take a look on ace forum and i saw some more activity than on gio. Would someone port this rom for Gio ? : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2234221

If I had time, I really would do because porting Gingerbread roms to Gio from Ace is very easy (in most cases; I have done this one time myself and had luckily no errors). Try to search in the Gio forum because there are tutorials how to do this maybe you can do it yourself (you just have to replace some files in the zip and hope). Currently I have too much work to do for school.
Btw.: Sad that there's no developer really and only working for the Galaxy Gio. The Gio is not that bad if you do not wan't to play any games. But without developers I have to sell it (if someone buys such an old phone what I doubt) and replace it by a Firefox OS phone. A fully working CyanogenMod 10.0 would be the best rom for me. MMBs version has this nasty security force close bug. But all this is off topic, but I have to write this because I still like my Gio even if I have a much better phone (Galaxy Nexus).

Bump :/
As you can read in the first post I couldn't port the blackberry rom
As VoetbalRemco already said,
Its better to do ports YOU want and share them with us.
otherwise ports will get sloppy cuz you just want to get them done, and well, i like to be surprised
BTW, I see you havent port any ROM yet (or is that part just to keep track of completed REQUEST roms?)
But, make sure you are able to port a rom before you take requests, makes requests faster

[For Starters]Best Rom...Custom or Stock...?

Hello guys...as every galaxy w owner wants best possible rom for his/her phone...people try switching between different ROMS and dont figure it out as some roms drain battery...some give fc's at while performing operations...so for those users (mostly noobs) ...best possible soultion is a stock rom...now mostly people say stock ROM is very much laggy...i had the same experience with my stock ROM...but now there is a new ROM Launched for Galaxy W XXLM8 Europe....this is very good as compared to other roms as it also brings some ICS features like Face Unlock...and is much smooth as compared to previous ROMS...
Following Link would help you with that...
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1654643
And for those who wanna use custom Rom...Rebel Rom is a good option....and Cyanogen mod is also about to get its fifth update...so till it's fifth update...You can either use Rebel Rom or there are more that might get ur day good...!
As this is a guide for new users...so if anybody wants to ask any questions about his phone such as Rooting,CWM Recovery or Flashing Via Recovery or Odin....i am always there to help....Thanks

I need the best ROM

Im using Samsung gt s7562 with kyleopen room. But i want to find one more room to explore my phone, which would be the best ROM for my phone
I assume you've already tried the basics AOSP and Cyanogenmod. But have you seen the CodefireX project?
(more info at codefirex.com)
It seems to be a good project and you should find builds for your device. Why don't you give it a try?

[Q] KitKat on cooper?

Hi, i'm a new member of the forums but i have been cheking the youtube channel and also used the forum to root my device and also to install some custom roms in it.
I'm currently using CM 10.1.6 modded and it works perfectly and very smooth
so first of all thx to those guys http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212438
second, i would like to know if we, the cooper users are we going to have 4.4 on our devices anytime soon? i dont know if that is even possible; maybe the fact that we are already able to run 4.2.2 is big step. However; kitkat will be us a performance increase? is it gonna use less ram for exaple (the s5830 really lacks on that point)
thx

Wrong section bud. The S5830 has it's own general section.

Hi guys, it's my first post here, so sorry if I will wrong the section.

I would like a rom stable!! The most important thing is stability, fewer bugs possible, and with the Note features...

Do you wish a stock rom , A custom rom ?? .
If you took the first option then i'd recommend KitKat with Nadia custom kernel , i've used it , it's good .
If the second choice is your preference then first i'd suggest you read about how these things work and how they are installed , the custom recovery . etcetera ,before taking any step through the process
Then and this is an important approach : Focus on the model of your phone and be careful , flashing the wrong ROM might mess with the soft of your device , and you won't like it trust me .
and good luck
Any cyanogenmod ROM should be fine.

...he wants the Note features, including spen! No way to have this features in an acceptable way on any kind of rom except those one TW based. So he can decide to stay on pure stock, maybe rooted, debloated and xposed or on some Note 3, 4 etc port - or simple reinstall his updated stock rom if he doesn't want to mess around.
If you bought a Note I suppose it is for the S Pen (on my N3 I coutend 3000 charging and 2600 spen in/out), otherwise any S series would be fine, and speed and rock solid CM would be a good choice - obviously if you don't use the pen a Note is a S...
