Hey guys, first post here...
Despite being described as the same size as the original back, the Samsung wireless charging back is not even close. Now my otterbox doesn't fit, my tech21 doesn't fit... And it's a struggle to get my Bodyglove shocksuit to fit and just feels awkward.
Any suggestions on a case that will work with this? I love not having a case on it but am horrified at the possibilities that can come from having no case...
Thanks in advance!

I returned my wireless-charging back plate and got one of these instead:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GV0Q78M/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
works flawlessly with the stock back cover, and then in my Seidio Surface kickstand case.
I use the same thing edouble312 posted and I use it in a Spigen Neo Hybrid case. I leave the original back cover off the phone so that the bump caused by the charger isn't so noticeable.
There are whole threads on wireless charging in the Note 3 accessories threads.
And that works with the Samsung official pad yes? Just starting to dabble into the wireless thing...

Going to have to give that one a try.

Works pretty good, using it with a Zens Qi charging pad, except for auto shutoff of charging.

I have two of these cases. One for me (the black and grey) and one for my wife (the pink one). We LOVE them!
I've got the black and gray one. I really like it, keeps my Xoom nice and safe.
Looks a lot like the otterbox one
How adjustable and stable is the stand? I like my Xoom at around 30 degrees from the surface it's on and if the Incipio case allows that, I might just get it.
Does this case work with a dock? I think for 50 why not just go with the otterbox?

Does anyone know if there is a dock that will work with the Speck case? I have been staying away from docks due to me having to remove my case each time I place my phone on the dock.

I have a couple of the RND docks (1 with the extra battery charging slot and 1 without) and they have a removable insert so you can use it with or without a case. I am using a TPU case on my phone and the cradle works great.

I have bought a Zenis dock, wich works with my tpu case also.

Hi I ordered a case online for my note 10.1 and after a bit of googling I saw that some had problems after using their case with a magnetic fastener that areas of the screen the s pen wouldn't respond to.
Just want to know if this is true and will my new note be safe if I use this case or should I change it for one without a magnet?
Think I'll remove the magnets and add a button or strap just to be safe

I have the official Samsung case for the note 10.1. It has magnets in it. Never had any problems, bought the case day 1 with the Note. Doubt Samsung would put magnets in the official case if they messed with the screen, just a thought.
No I got a case from Ebay and it has magnets I had the same doubt but it does not effect the device in anyway the SPEN is not affected in even the minutes way. The magnet are very low powered onces anyways

I did some searching and found that people with the original note phone had problems with the middle of the phone not recognizing the pen http://www.esphoneblog.com/2012/01/28/problem-with-samsung-galaxy-notes-s-pen/ and
http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-2/216474-cases-magnets-s-pen.html
I found more like this with problems with magnets on cases can't be just a coincidence.

I'm just posting to let people know that I've personally modified my Otterbox Commuter to fit the oem samsung extended battery. I was able to do this by simply using an xacto-knife to cut a battery-shaped rectangle for the extended battery to stick-out through the standard batt. door that came with the device. Then I just slipped the silicone cover over my s3,flipped it over(screen down) and cut around the raised edges on the silicone that outline where the battery was pressing against the silicone, and after that I was good to go. At the moment I'm not able to take pictures.

do you got pics?
I would have just left my battery door off instead of cutting it up.

Ya....except for the polycarbonate shell on the commuter which holds the battery , since i cut the silicone and slim battery door to allow for the battery to stick through...

Not possible with this mod. If you read my post it mentions i cut the slim battery door because the EXTENDED battery obviously wouldn't fit otherwise.

I was just meaning to not use a battery door at all, just modding the case and putting on the phone without it. That way, you could always put the stock battery back in without a hole in the back of your phone.

What holds the battery in place? The hard cover of the otterbox?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Yes the hard plastic cover holds the battery in

I gotta admit it is pretty cool. Ive been thinking of getting a extended battery and the main thing holding me back is how bulky it would be and the lack of case options. But I love the commuter case and it seems to work. Does the case create a bump on the back when fully installed?

No, as the polycarbonate isn't flexible, it does NOT create a bump or distort the outer shell in anyway. The shell should remain perfectly flat, if installed correctly

this looks super interesting to me but i would hate to have to cut up my case in case i want to sell it in the future. i was thinking about getting a cheapo battery door to cut up and use but i was wondering if i could get away with not cutting up the rubber portion of the commuter case.

You will need to cut the standard phone back portion of the case and the rubber portion of the otterbox this will bring everything flush with the extended battery. The outer shell of the otterbox acts as the new back cover it works really well i personally couldn't be any happier with the result.

Has anyone found those oem Samsung 3000 mah batteries for less than $50 yet?
Galaxy S3, DarthStalker ROM & Kinetic Pulse Kernel.. Perfection.
Could the defender be used if you just didn't put the battery back on? I am currently used a UAG case this way and it works good.

No it wont fit it is a little too thick.
I've got the wireless charging battery cover from Verizon on my phone. It makes the phone a bit thicker. I was wondering if there were any cases out there that can accommodate the extra size. I currently use a Cruzerlite case that I cut a little bit to allow expansion but I'd like something a bit cleaner.
TIA for any input!

You can get wireless charging inlays that fit inside the original battery lid and as such don't increase the thickness of the device
Interesting, never heard of that. Do you have a link?

They're practically impossible to miss, just search ebay or any number of other places for "s3 qi inlay"
Has anyone experienced any issues with the inlays? I just got a wireless qi charger and the Verizon rear case for the phone and have just been putting up with the added thickness. I wouldn't mind considering the inlays though.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
They make it a bit thicker and bow the back out very slightly.
To those who currently have a qi wireless charger. Few questions as I'm about to get one.. Does the charging pad get warm? Is it ok to keep plugged in or could it be a possible fire hazard? Stupid question, I know, but I have a hard time trusting cheap stuff from china, lol. Does wireless charging charge as fast as USB? Thanks!

Occasionally. Yes it's fine. And it depends on the pad and the receiver on your phone. Mine is 650mA so it's slightly faster than USB

I wouldn't skimp on the stuff tho. I spent like $50 for my charging pad. Its got two spots and it's made by Energizer.

it's not going to blow up or anything.
you can also keep an eye out for the dt500 charging pad that nokia has for the lunia series. they go on sale often for $25.

1. Slightly warm when in use.
2. Yes, it's fine to leave it plugged in. My one at my office desk sits on top of a pile of papers and hasn't set anything on fire yet.
I personally own this receiver (which I use with this pad, though my pads are black rather than white), which works well though my lifeproof case. No dice with the Otterbox Armour case though.
I'd recommend avoiding this charger. It doesn't work worth a damn through a case and constantly connects/disconnects.
I have the same receiver inlay as compo01, using it with a variety of pads, including an official Samsung S4 one that I modded into an ugly but functionally awesome dock

my phone gets warm during the initial charging but once it hits 100% it cools down real fast. I can think of only one other thing in this case.. you might not be aligned correctly.. but i would not think that's the case since you seem to be able to get to 100% with no problem...
I have the Verizon and the monster watts WiQiQi kit. I mainly use the Verizon back cover even though it means I can't put a case on. The WiQiQi is a nice kit but when I use it with my preferred case, one with a stand , The screen distorts and bulges. But I put the WiQiQi in my fathers phone with an otterbox and he has no issues.
