Come on. - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi guys.
I've been using custom roms for an over 4 months. None of them really could have convinced me.
The stock one is perfect with a little free ram and less lag.
For god seek we have here dual core cpu with 1 g ram and unfortunately none of rom in ion section is valid for heavy multitasking.
Come on this mobile makes me :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
..
Any advise for poor man above.

I mean if there would be a rom like stock exactly but with less lag and free ram.

I know what you mean...
I used Cm10 rom a long time and installed sony apps and themes for the optic.
Now i am also back to stock because dev stoped but it's still faster than many roms

Yup. exactly.
And no one till now from developer could have made a " stock " rom but less lag and more free ram.
Idont know why?

DISCUSSION ABOUT ROM FOR DAILY USE (Most Stable and Smooth)

Many people using Android handset confused about making decision on which rom they will be using for daily activities...
Gio, as middle devices, has gotten upgrade from Froyo to Gingerbread, and the ported developed ICS rom still seems pretty difficult to be used for daily activity coz the problems of camera, video acceleration, and else...
But overall, even the ICS has excellent performance, still cannot wait for the more excellent release! (major dev: Macław #Work Hard!)
Let's share all things to make the handset stable and smooth for daily use!
SO LET'S NOW SETTLE THIS PROBLEM BY SOLVING TOGETHER
WHAT'S WORTH TO BE DISCUSSED, LET'S DISCUSS IT HERE
Which rom are u using?
How's the battery performance?
is it stable and smooth for daily use?
Please share, from inexperienced to experienced, tips and tricks or something related to the rom that stable and smooth, or ways to make it stable and smooth!

have u guys tested the newest version of stock like dxkt8?
it has the galaxy note lockscreen i heard
if you wanna try, this is the link for the dxkt8, not having problem, just have to increase the performance by custom rom and maybe a boost memory by a2sd darktremor. . . (hehe. . . a bit advertising?)

Stock 2.3.6 open germany
How's the battery performance?
Normal, bit better due to tweaking
is it stable and smooth for daily use?
Yes. Stock =stability, at the cost of performance so I use tweaks to get them both

CM9 has been very smooth for me. I use it daily. But I'm starting to experience random freezes in beta 8. Thinking about switching back to beta 7
Adrenaline rom is great in every aspect.
Using Gingerbread 2.3.6. Smooth, fast and battery performance is good. 2days using it's basis phone features and a lil bit of angry birds>

Beta 8 isn't particularly stable for me. Even though it is very smooth, it has random crashes and freezes for me along with many other bugs.
Adrenaline ROM 2nd Edition
it's pretty stable and the best part is if you manage to configure it well you can make it really smooth and with battery lasting for 1 day and half...
you can say its too low but considering to the use i give to it is awesome
i tried almost all the roms, kernels, and configs for Gio but seems i've finaly managed one that fits my style, lots of battery without any lag at all
If you interested in more details say something )

Stock works great, it's fast and responsive, unless you have to have root, I wouldn't bother at the moment.
I used ARHD on my HTC One X because it was better than stock but JB on the Note 2 is super!

yup me too. i flash arhd 1.1 on my note 2 and it feels a lil laggy. It even make my 3g connection crawl like a tortoise. I was quite dumbfounded cos i tot it suppose to perform better. But wen i flash it back to stock. it feels so much better n my 3g connection was fast as per normal. so i shall stick to stock while the roms gets improved in due time
Ive been using the Perseus alpha24 kernal for a few days now, smooth fast and noticablely better battery life, havent tried a ROM yet, like you, waiting till they are a bit better.
Yes, I agree.
For now, stock is the best for stability and performance.
It needs time to make custom rom better than stock
imho
Stock forever.
I think its a very subjective topic and its only a matter of time before the mods close this thread (maybe)...
I personally like stock on Note 2. Nothing more needed
Unless it AR HD! Well thats stock too

I don't see why they will close this thread I'm just asking for your experiences with custom roms and I'm sharing mine, I'm not wasking what is the best roms amongst all the roms available on the forum but just if at the moment the stock is better than any other custom roms that's all.

Yeah, I have not used custom roms atm, I just disable what I don't want and that's it. But I wish there was a vanilla Jellybean to try out. Don't need overclocking, but I want undervolted rom to squeeze more juice.
It's nice to know that some of you love the stock experience out of the box. I'm getting my Galaxy Note 2 in November. Obviously many of us like to tinker, so I'm already pleased that the list of custom roms is growing for the Galaxy Note 2.
im flash addict and always was using custom rom but for note 2 stock+root=the best
To me Note 2 needs no rooting and flashing, works great the way it is and I like it that way.

From my experiences I remember the meaning of the "CUSTOM" rom.
It's MUCH BETTER THAN stock ! Come one dude "Cyanogen", "MIUI" etc.
I felt the difference before and after on many phones.
With N2 everything has changed a bit.
I agree the stock rom are better now than most of custom roms here.
Example: Im using Stock Wanam Deodex Rom (almost out touch rom.) What I did I just maximum deblaoted it.
And this stock rom working MUCH more better and faster and smoother than many custom roms here. Example OMEGA. (No offence ! this is purely my opinion)
Why it happening ?
So many developers love to add 3 years old build prop lines. Too old tweaks also are here. Come one why using stuff from HTC ? WTF was that "Enabled GPU UI rendering"???? JellyB has it from birth that !
And Im fine with that ! But NO DIFFERENCE BRO! not smoother, not faster. Ok maybe benchs is better ? But no it's lower ! Windows animation lags more than on stock rom.
And is nothing to explain about. People will get pissed.(when you tell the truth) If you just got your first android device and you have no experiences (NO CLUE) with that you will say it's faster ! But when you coming from G1 and you got 2-N2. 2-GS3 than you will see the difference between before and after and is nothing to talk about it.
Samsung did sick job with the N2 JB firmware. It's been optimized up to normal and we filling that from ANY corner !
Stop implanting stupid lines like "scrolling catch disabled" if you say yourself that it does not work.
Only best regards
On wanam stock deodexed lj7

Using stock ROM! No plans of flashing custom ROM as stock is perfect
on stock...
way too perfect...no need for custom except debloating ofc
Only Android device I've ever owned which I've not rooted, and currently feel no compelling need to do so.

Some of the apps come with the ROM and cannot be removed (Like Flipboard, the various hub apps etc.). If they're not useful to you, it's bloatware. He has removed them by rooting the phone and deleting them.

Stock Rom is working great,
One only need to root and debloate it
After that you can ' spec' it to ur taste

I am using HyperNote 0.3 which offers already a complete debloated ROM. Its very fast and battery efficient. A lot quicker than stock.
Hard to understand how somebody would not root the Note II. For any design changes or debloating you need root....and its so easily done.

[Discussion] do you think we really need ICS/JB update from Samsung?

Galaxy y is a budget phonw which has GB 2.3.6 android version , some people want ics or JB update from Samsung or the drivers from broadcom to build cm9/10/10.1 roms for this phone.
I think this phone doesn't need ics update too much because we have a dozen of amazing roms themed "Holo" and many kernels and they are not bad at all
Do you think we need the update or not? Why ?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using Tapatalk 2
NO.
1. The ICS Update will be too large for SGY (Touchwiz Features+Samsung bloatwares+/system partition is only around 290mb)
2. Drivers.

samsung would not provide official ics/jb for an outdated phone. our only way is cm9. cm10 also won't be compatile i suppose.
why not ask broadcom again? its nearly been 5-6 months since we heard from them
I think it wouldnt be nice, cause of the hardware. I think the software would be laggy.
The broadcom drivers would be nice to build stable cm9. I dont now if I still need this. I think I like my phone like it is, and nothing would be better after that great piece of work.

I remember browsing through the Xperia Go threads. Some users actually prefer Gingerbread rather than ICS due to performance. I can't see the reason why I'll go for ICS/JB with this device. Besides, as mentioned there are a lot of Holo themed ROMs out there.

Clean, Stable and Fast Rom

There is no stable and fast rom for our nicki.
I have used all of them and they are not fast and stable like stock rom.
You can use some different kernels on stock rom for more speed.
This kernel is awesome. Stock rom is faster with this kernel.
I write this just for an advice.
Ok, who wanted this advice here? and why? We all happy using Lollipop and kitkats. Good for you, enjoy stock roms.
