[Q] TrevE mod connection fail when enabling wifi-encryption - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I am able to tether to my laptop using TrevE-Mod but only if wifi encryption is NOT enabled. If i enable wifi encryption, it will not connect.
How do i make this work with wifi encryption? anyone have this problem?
my current settings is as follows:
Generic ics/jb wlan0
netd-ndc master
send netdmax "" checked
passphrase changed
ssid changed
channel 1
wifi driver reload 2 checked
routing fix checked
any help is appreciated. I am also using express vpn if that matters.
thanks

The version of Android would be helpful for this discussion. The rom name would be too. I assume you are on a T889...
More info would be useful to further the conversation.

Is your device type set to Samsung Galaxy S3? If not, try that.

As far as I know, data up to LTE works...Sprint's EVDO does not however.
Flashing the fix APN fix will serve no purpose as the APNs are already included

"Wifi tether router" app has working tether

Copied from sprint forum :
"update to the latest version
Note 3 is now supported
read this site:*https://sites.google.com/site/wifitetherrouter/home/device-configuration
For Galaxy Note 3 using this config
Interface wlan0
Method 3 - HostApd
Encryption wpa2-psk
Channel 1
Drivers nl80211
"HostApd Patch" <- UNCHECKED
If not work
Interface wlan0
Method 3 - HostApd
Encryption wpa2-psk
Channel 1
Drivers nl80211
"HostApd Patch" <- CHECKED"
It works on my note 3 stock kernel/rom rooted with vegas but wifi tether wont...
Also I left everything in auto and it has bith ad hoc and broadcasted with security.

He seems to be refering to Wifi Tether Router. It costs 1.95 on the app store but, it's certainly worth it.
No go
Running Tweaked and even switched to stock kernel.
No go.
I'll email the dev and see what they might be able to do, otherwise it didn't work on Tweaked ROM.
It works for me
It works for me! Thanks! I'm on stock deodexed ROM with SaberN3 kernel flashed. (T-Mobile). Been looking and trying everything but only this works so far.

Read the op of the master x thread. Hint: bootloader patch, ota 4.3 update, or devil kernel are the usual answers to this question. Read the op of thethread for more.

I'm trying to figure out why it's greyed out....
DS
I've never been able to edit that line.
There was one ROM I was able to do it on. Unfortunately don't remember which one.
Also on my ROM the option to enable APN is greyed out. I have seen that available on ROMS.
Maybe I'm thinking CM or AOSP ROMs had those options.
EDIT:
I knew I wasn't losing my mind..... Yet.
Just flashed SlimKat 4.4. Option is available on that. I just have to remember where that info comes from.

[Q] No connectivity on LP roms

Hi all,
I have been trying off and on the past few weeks to get on a lp rom and every time I flash one I end up with zero 4g signal. I have tried flashing the modem, and I was told look in VPN settings but I don't really understand what's going on in there. I feel like it doesn't apply to me though. If it does can I get some help on what I need to do to set that up? Or is there any other explanation on why I don't have Internet?
Thanks to everyone who's o read this.
Try changing your APN protocol to IPv6 in Mobile/APN settings.
