My busybox install got corrupted and a lot of things got screwed up. So I did a wipe and reflashed cm10.2. Something that got screwy was the led light when charging would stay on even when the screen was on. But after i reflashed it still does it. Of course this is no big deal, I can just turn off the battery led in cm, but I just wanted to know if anyone knew what the issue was. Thank you very much for the help.

Really? Wow I must be going crazy or I never used my phone while it's been plugged in with cm10.2. Is there a way to change it so that the charging led only comes on when the screen is off?
Why would it even work this way? You can clearly see it's charging when the screen is on in the status bar. Also, when you go and change the battery charging led color and you want to test it, it even asks you to turn the screen off. Are you sure?
bump for double check

I'm sure.
There is a setting to disable to charging light entirely. But not for disabling it only when the screen is on.
You'll just have to live with it. If it bothers you that much, make it a darker color that is less obnoxious to your eyes that is easy to see in a dark room with the screen off but not as 'in your face' when the screen is on.

Have you tried turning off the phone?
Turn off the phone, pull out the battery, let it sit for a minute or two. Put battery back in and seenif its still happening.
Do you have any apps that manipulate/ color your LED if a certain peraon is calling, etc?
i pulled the battery and it did not fix the problem. i am going to remove some apps i recently installed to see if that is the issue
its a common problem.. mostly due to USB port on the phone. Try clean it out with wait or a toothpick.
Where you playing around with led apps? Like no led or led color picker and other stuff like that? I had that issue after using those apps. I think i ended up clearing data/cache for those apps and uninstalling.
If all else fails, a restore of a recent backup should work.

I haven't messed with any of those type of apps. I have never downloaded any of those LED apps.
I recently wiped cache and dalvik-cache before flashing on the new BLAZER rom (I am coming from calkulins and wanted to try something new) and the LED is still lit. Any clues? Do you think i should just go and uninstall all my applications? or should i take your last suggestion and restore to a recent backup?
Clean the charging port out with a toothbrush. Worked for me. I got some gunk in the charging port and the led would stay on and it would go into MTP all the time.

There is most likely corrosion in the charging port. If you look in the port and there is green or white, its corrosion.

there shouldnt be any corrosion. i got the phone in november. they owe me a free one if thats the case. sorry, im just hoping your wrong about the corrosion
I hope not too, but it usually happens on your charger and transfers to your phone and you don't notice it.
I am in the same boat as you in terms of tryin out blazer. I ran across a bunch of issues there. Try going back to calk backup and see if it fixes it.
Don't get me wrong, I believe in phantom hacker, but it seems like v3.9 is full of bugs...
Im not sure about the corrision thing, but it sounds like you have a corrupt file in your rom. I suggest trying a different rom, downloading to a pc to make sure its good. Do a FULL wipe, and flash new rom... The issue SHOULD go away...
Ok lets clear the air. The LED issue is not due to the new Blazer rom or Calkulins. I just did a full wipe and flash of Calkulin 2.8 and the LED (red) light is still on. I have ZERO apps on the phone. Fresh wipe. I think I may unroot it (going to have to search out how to do this) and take it into Sprint (I've had the phone for less than 4 months).
Note- earlier tonight the LED light turned off (this was before the full wipe and flash back to calkulins) but my battery was at low so I had to charge it. Upon charging it the light would not turn off. Suspect its a hardware problem?
To repeat. I do not think my issue has anything to do with Blazer ROM or Calks
Does anybody have a problem with the notification light on their GNEX? LTE model.
Mine turns blue when charging, but when I move the cable it dims some, then it goes back to fully lit, and sometimes its not on at all.
Is my phone jacked up or what, no matter the rom, it does not work normally.
Tell me whats up!
Thanks...
My LED shows no indication that I'm charging. Didn't when I was on stock (4.0.1 and 4.0.2) and doesn't now that I'm on Redemption ROM 1.5.0 (4.0.3 base).

Not that I'm aware of at this time. If you plug it in and just let it sit, will the light come on and stay on? How about if the phone is OFF when you plug it in -- same behavior?

Same, I can wiggle the power cable and the light goes away, or dims, or comes back, its like theres a bad connection. Has anybody else reported this problem?
Something's not righr. If you got it locally, I'd go back and see what they have to say.. If you're running "standard" ROMs then I'd be concerned there's an electrical malfunction or crossed wires so it's not something I'd mess with.

When charging should the watch go completely black or stay lit up (dim) showing charging and time. Could of sworn I saw it go completely dark before.

Yes before the new update the screen would go dark. So probably the very first time you charged it out the box. After that update was applied that feature was removed. I would assume in another update it will be back there is a lot of complaint about it.

Yep that's exactly what happened. Had to charge it before the update can go through. Cool thanks again.
When I was using this phone the screen suddenly turned black. No powering off or anything, the phone was nearly fully charged anyway. Nothing seems to be working anymore. I tried turning it back on but it's completely unresponsive. It won't even charge anymore. I was wondering if there was any solutions to this and if other people where having this problem or did my phone just brick itself
Are you able to get to the bootloader? by pressing volume + and power at the same time. It may be worth trying to flash stock also. I am no expert its just what I would try.

Hello there. I have the same problem, phone suddenly stopped to show anything on the screen, it is comleptely black. Tried to reflash few original roms, without a succsess. Replacing lcd did also not solved the problem. Did anyone find a solution?
Thanx
Did you try to format + reflash using spflash? Check out my video walk thru.

Of course I did. But at no avail. Today, I found out, that the new screen is partially working. I can see very dark picture, it means, I have no back light. Tried to set it up from engineers mode, but no luck.
So the new screen is on, but without back light, and the phone heats pretty much in the top area.

If so. Try to pull down the statusbar and swipe a bit under the statusbar line, in the top of the screen from left to right, with some luck you will tap the brightness switcher

I can connect to the phone through Vysor, and when I change the brightness level there, there is no change at all. The Phone does not react to any settings change at all.
Tried eragon rom, but still no change....

Better hope you still have your garantie, because theres legit no way to restore it. You just have to send it back for it to get fixed. This happened to me once and yesterday twice. sadly I am to dissapointed from this. I am never buying an Elephone again ! PS bro it isnt worth sending this hell of a **** peace back. It costs and the blackscreen thing is gonna happen again in 6-8 months. SO go out there and buy yourself a real phone not this bull****. I have to do the same rn.

Just happened to me with my 3 year old phone. Left overnight with enough charge. Pressed the side button and nothing - held it down to restart and then complete blank.
Repalced the battery about 1 month ago with one from AliExpress for £5.
So using the kit provided with the battery or a watchmakers screwdriver - undo the 12 tiny screws and remove the white surround and then the inner back with the phone's number on it. Next disconnect the battery socket but be careful as it is tiny - use a torch and magnifier if vision not good. Remove the sim card. Wait 10 minutes - did this with the blue light flashing - it stopped finally on disconnection.
Put it all back together and hey presto fully working phone
Just got my H7x Saturday and am blowin away that a phone this nice can be had for under $200usd.
Anyways, Whenever I have the phone connected to the power-cord(charging) the screen won't turn off. I'll wait for the 60sec I have it set to, fade, the screen turns off, and then right back on immediately. Does the same when connected to USB on a windows computer. Charging only, file transfer etc. does it no matter the mode.
Any input with help would be greatly appreciated... Thank you

This setting is normally defaulted to off, but check the development option "stay awake"
No, it's set to off. But good call.
It seems like the screen saver would make it do this too. I just noticed that everytime the screen comes on, it's a different picture. However, settings>display>screen saver is off.
Just figured it out.
Under settings>Apps and notif...>notification and status bar> I had 'notifications turn on screen' turned on. That's what was causing it. Strange...
Can anyone else test for this?

And, no need for other people to test for this, you fixed the problem.

I guess I could root and rom. I am just so impressed with the battery on the stock rom I was going to try and keep it as long as I can.
What ROM do you suggest?
And I didn't fix the issue. Just turned it off... Its still an issue for people who want thier screen to turn on when they get notifacations.
Thanks for the help!

Openkirin roms are good, but the support chat in telegram is a bit toxic...
Also, any hi6250 rom will work well, like with the p8 lite 2017; roms there work on the honor 7x too, i've tested.
