Does anybody have a problem with the notification light on their GNEX? LTE model.
Mine turns blue when charging, but when I move the cable it dims some, then it goes back to fully lit, and sometimes its not on at all.
Is my phone jacked up or what, no matter the rom, it does not work normally.
Tell me whats up!
Thanks...
My LED shows no indication that I'm charging. Didn't when I was on stock (4.0.1 and 4.0.2) and doesn't now that I'm on Redemption ROM 1.5.0 (4.0.3 base).

Not that I'm aware of at this time. If you plug it in and just let it sit, will the light come on and stay on? How about if the phone is OFF when you plug it in -- same behavior?

Same, I can wiggle the power cable and the light goes away, or dims, or comes back, its like theres a bad connection. Has anybody else reported this problem?
Something's not righr. If you got it locally, I'd go back and see what they have to say.. If you're running "standard" ROMs then I'd be concerned there's an electrical malfunction or crossed wires so it's not something I'd mess with.

Have you tried turning off the phone?
Turn off the phone, pull out the battery, let it sit for a minute or two. Put battery back in and seenif its still happening.
Do you have any apps that manipulate/ color your LED if a certain peraon is calling, etc?
i pulled the battery and it did not fix the problem. i am going to remove some apps i recently installed to see if that is the issue
its a common problem.. mostly due to USB port on the phone. Try clean it out with wait or a toothpick.
Where you playing around with led apps? Like no led or led color picker and other stuff like that? I had that issue after using those apps. I think i ended up clearing data/cache for those apps and uninstalling.
If all else fails, a restore of a recent backup should work.

I haven't messed with any of those type of apps. I have never downloaded any of those LED apps.
I recently wiped cache and dalvik-cache before flashing on the new BLAZER rom (I am coming from calkulins and wanted to try something new) and the LED is still lit. Any clues? Do you think i should just go and uninstall all my applications? or should i take your last suggestion and restore to a recent backup?
Clean the charging port out with a toothbrush. Worked for me. I got some gunk in the charging port and the led would stay on and it would go into MTP all the time.

There is most likely corrosion in the charging port. If you look in the port and there is green or white, its corrosion.

there shouldnt be any corrosion. i got the phone in november. they owe me a free one if thats the case. sorry, im just hoping your wrong about the corrosion
I hope not too, but it usually happens on your charger and transfers to your phone and you don't notice it.
I am in the same boat as you in terms of tryin out blazer. I ran across a bunch of issues there. Try going back to calk backup and see if it fixes it.
Don't get me wrong, I believe in phantom hacker, but it seems like v3.9 is full of bugs...
Im not sure about the corrision thing, but it sounds like you have a corrupt file in your rom. I suggest trying a different rom, downloading to a pc to make sure its good. Do a FULL wipe, and flash new rom... The issue SHOULD go away...
Ok lets clear the air. The LED issue is not due to the new Blazer rom or Calkulins. I just did a full wipe and flash of Calkulin 2.8 and the LED (red) light is still on. I have ZERO apps on the phone. Fresh wipe. I think I may unroot it (going to have to search out how to do this) and take it into Sprint (I've had the phone for less than 4 months).
Note- earlier tonight the LED light turned off (this was before the full wipe and flash back to calkulins) but my battery was at low so I had to charge it. Upon charging it the light would not turn off. Suspect its a hardware problem?
To repeat. I do not think my issue has anything to do with Blazer ROM or Calks
Hi,
Phone was being weird as **** so I took the battery out. Went to switch back on -> 5 vibrates and solid green light.
Any fix?

Make sure your phone has enough charge. Connect it to your charger and leave it for a while. Try again after sometime.
I've had similar problems and it was solved by charging. But some people are not so lucky.. A similar problem here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1925430
Are you having the same problems?

Just an update - now changed to three vibrates and orange blinking. Will google search first.
Update: Fully working. Left the phone for a few hours and it works again .

Left to charge or just like that?
My wife has a One V (through US Cellular, stock, non-rooted) and for the last week or so, the green LED has been constantly flashing. The orange charging status notification overrides the green, but the green starts up again as soon as it is unplugged. It doesn't matter if there are notifications or not, and it continues even when all of the LED notifications are disabled in the menu. I've tried resetting the phone, and that doesn't make a difference.
Have any of you had this issue, and if so, is there a way to remedy the problem? It's not a huge deal, but it is annoying.
maybe a factory reset will help
don he has tried resetting it read again

flash the kernel again, don did it work?
No,I don't have permission to do it
My busybox install got corrupted and a lot of things got screwed up. So I did a wipe and reflashed cm10.2. Something that got screwy was the led light when charging would stay on even when the screen was on. But after i reflashed it still does it. Of course this is no big deal, I can just turn off the battery led in cm, but I just wanted to know if anyone knew what the issue was. Thank you very much for the help.

Really? Wow I must be going crazy or I never used my phone while it's been plugged in with cm10.2. Is there a way to change it so that the charging led only comes on when the screen is off?
Why would it even work this way? You can clearly see it's charging when the screen is on in the status bar. Also, when you go and change the battery charging led color and you want to test it, it even asks you to turn the screen off. Are you sure?
bump for double check

I'm sure.
There is a setting to disable to charging light entirely. But not for disabling it only when the screen is on.
You'll just have to live with it. If it bothers you that much, make it a darker color that is less obnoxious to your eyes that is easy to see in a dark room with the screen off but not as 'in your face' when the screen is on.
When charging should the watch go completely black or stay lit up (dim) showing charging and time. Could of sworn I saw it go completely dark before.

Yes before the new update the screen would go dark. So probably the very first time you charged it out the box. After that update was applied that feature was removed. I would assume in another update it will be back there is a lot of complaint about it.

Yep that's exactly what happened. Had to charge it before the update can go through. Cool thanks again.
