I've been racking my brains and reading all sorts of posts but I'm really stumped on this
I have Microsoft Office 2010 and I use Outlook 2010 for my emails
I have several email accounts and they are sorted into folders and work perfectly
However I want to transfer all my emails to Android so I can read/get at them while on the move and on any device I own
Anyone got any idea how to "transfer"/import all my old emails from my outlook 2010 on my computer onto an android app
I dont mind what Android app, even a paid one as long as it works and I can transfer the old emails which are obviously .pst files
I could convert them but I have some with attachments which im not sure how they would convert or if they would
All ideas/help appreciated
I think but not sure as long as you use Microsoft exchange for settings it should work. I'm using aqua mail for mine and it synced all my old messages but I have a Microsoft exchange account

I am curious how is everyone managing their contacts?
Are you using Outlook?
Are you using Dashwire?
Are you using SIM Manager?
Are you using Photo Contacts Pro?
I am curious as I would love to import say friends info via facebook or any type of friendly software that can grab pics and any other info I have already obtained?
Any advice feedback or preference just comment and tell what's worked for you?
im too lazy too...i got some in dashwire, some in outlook...some written on my hand.
I just settle with outlook, I use it for all my calendar stuff too for both work and play and it does the job. Tried Dashwire but just wasn't feeling it...took longer to sync than hooking up to my computer. I use Google Cal Sync and Ogg sync to keep all in line OTA on the calendar front.
I'm still searching for a program that can sync my outlook cal/contacts with my dash OTA all in one.
I quit using outlook a year or so ago. Right now I am just using Hotmail / Live. With the Dash you can sync Hotmail and phone. So no need to use Outlook. All contacts are online.

Yes Outlook seems the best option. I also like Dashwire too, it is an amazing little program/webpage whatever you want to call it...

Im have trouble with my Picture Caller Id Screen. and Im using WM 6.1 and it comes up distorted... What would I be doing to change that?
dashwire ?
after reading their website that does sound pretty cool , but a question for anyone that is using it just to make sure before i sign up for their service .
it says you control what gets synced , and when .
just how much control does the user have over the process : can it be set to only update using wifi when i tell it to ? (since my service provider has no unlimited data plan available )
i use the free service by Nuevasync (www.nuevasync.com)
It is a two-way OTA sync with Google calendar and Google contacts using OTA Activesync.
Works flawlessly for me with 500+ contacts. I think it only works with one Google calendar right now and there are some restrictions with repeating appointments etc.
(Google contacts sucks but at least I am free of Outlook...)
I use outlook. I have around 2000 or so contacts (business) and I have had only some minor issues.
me too, using outlook, some duplicate contacts (1000 work contacts) but for the rest all ok
I have a new shiny Defy. But now syncing my contacts with the Exchange Server does not work
The phone says everything is okay but no contact appears in contact list.
Replying to myself. Seems like Motorola broke the exchange sync with their motoblur stuff. Using the android emulator with a stock 2.1 works ....
Hi,
does it only fail on ex 2010 or is there a problem with ex 2007 too?
I don't have my DEFY with me atm, but will check 2007 later today...
No idea. I tested two different exchange server with 2010 but I have no access to a 2007 server
I have had no issues with either exchange 2003 or 2007. I get all my calendar items, contacts and email.

Hey, hope some one here can help as its driving me up the wall.
I have gone from the HTC HD2 which was great for my mail as I use hotmail.
I now have Desire HD but hotmail seems to be a big problem for it.
First problem I had was I could not get hotmail setup using Microsoft Exchange, after the recent update I can now get it to conncect So I can now view all my folders which is what I needed as I have used hotmail for 10 years and have all my mail set into folders. Problem I now have is I can see my folders but cant open any of my mail using HTML. It all wants to open in plain text
Why cant this great device seem to do somthing as simple as push mail form my hotmail, show my folders and open my mail in html so I can view them in full??
anybody else got this problem and have this sorted?
Thanks nathan
Hello,
I have a question I can't seem to find the answer to anywhere. We are upgrading from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 at my work, while testing Exchange 2010 I found out that activesync (push) email works great on iPhones and iPads, but not on my Droid Incredible . I can create the account just fine and manually refresh to see my mail, but if I have my exchange activesync email set to "as items arrive" and send myself a test email, I don't get it until I open up the email app and it refreshes.
I'm using the default htc email app, I have tried deleting and recreating my account several times. If I have the setting set to any thing else, like sync every 5 minutes it works just fine, but for some reason if it's set to as items arrive I won't get the email until I manually look at the email app. I can't deploy exchange 2010 with this going on as we have many other android users in the company.
Please help!
The Android native email application needs improvement no doubt. I use TouchDown as we have Exchange 2007 and are enforcing security policies. Those don't work too well with the native application.
Push works great, but it's a one time fee of $20, but in my opinion worth it.

Thanks RMarkwald! I downloaded and tried out TouchDown and it works great for Exchange 2010. At least I have a solution if users start complaining about push no longer working after we upgrade.
Hopefully htc will get an update out for this at some point because a simple thing like activesync should work on the stock email app.
Hey no problem! I think that the issue is more of an Android issue, not really HTC, cause it happens across the board. I've had nothing but issues before I purchased TD, and that was before we enabled PIN/security features. $20 is a lot, but my company purchased it for me, and I can use it on my Xoom without having to pay another $20, so IMO it's worth it.
Their support is great too, from the times I've contacted them with questions. I really like you can sync Tasks and manage your Out of Office too.
I've seen the threads about exchange syncing, but this is a little different so I have to ask. It downloads email from my website's mail server just fine (pop email connection). However unlike 4.3 and earlier, when I get home and download my mail off the server (no copies are left on the server), the stock email app does not remove these emails from itself. I end up having to delete from inbox and then from trash. Anyone know if this is intended new functionality or is it a bug similar to what I've been reading about it not syncing with Exchange?
Hmm apparently whatever was going on was temporary. It's actually working fine now.
