So I got myself a new phone note 4. I used that new Samsung transfer apk first time ever. After it completed I factory reseted my old phone note 3. Unfortunetly Samsung apk was crap and I lost data for one of my applications. Any idea how can I recover database.db file from internal storage? None of the applications I found could recover .db files just images and documents. Please help and advice
So. .. I did something really stupid and accepted the tmobile marshmallow update on my rooted G3. Now it is stuck in a bootloop that takes me back to twrp recovery.
I had backups that are now not showing.
Any suggestions?
Start with your backups, if they are on your SD or internal establish that. If they are on internal use android commander PC app while your phone is plugged into your PC and browse for them in the windows app while the phone is in recovery. Extract them and put them somewhere safe. Download and install LG PC drivers. Download a kdz firmware file and flash back to factory stock using LG Mobile Support Tool. In Windows you need the modem driver and the diag port driver showing in device manager for it to work (MPT driver not necessary) or it will fail around 50%. Reroot, reinstall recovery, backup boot partition just to create new twrp backup folder, place recovered backups into new twrp backup folder, restore.
You should be back to normal.
PS it wasn't the Marshmallow update
It's more than likely that the phone will mount its internal storage when connected to the computer. Thats what mine did at least. You should then be able to drag over a working stock ROM and flash it Via recovery.
Theres a working flashable stock ROM on here somewhere I believe.

Hi I think I may have triggered accidentally by long pressing the Power & Volume buttons, a Recovery and Wipe of Apps and Personal Files.
On starting the OP5T, it is like a Factory Reset with all accounts, apps, files deleted.
Is it possible to recover the files from the Memory? I have already tried Dr Fone but this only sees the files I can see using Windows Explorer. I need to go deeper in the hope that the files are still in the memory of the device.
There are no Backups to recover.
Urgently need help because I cannot use the phone, hoping I can recover files before reinstalling all the apps and potentially over-writing the memory of the files I want to recover.
Thanks in advance!!
Guess no reply means no :crying:
Hi, yesterday phone admin made factory reset by remote control and now phone is empty. There was a lot of photos and info in it. Is there any chances to recover data or at least some photos? And how to do it?
Android 10
Last time I was doing something similar - Samsung S4

If you have created a backup before, you can restore from there.
I assume that you do not have s backup.
On some devices, there is a kind of trash/paper bin, in which you can find deleted files.
If not on your device, you can connect your device to a PC (via USB cable), and check with a recovery tool if it can detect deleted files to be restored on the internal storage of your phone.
You should really create a backup of all your files regularly, when you're phone admin is performing a remote factory reset from time to time. Or insert an external sd card/USB storage to copy your files in a place that is not affected by a factory reset.
Usually on a PC hard drive you can run a data recovery software to try and get things back. I believe with phones its a bit different. Once you factory reset it sets every bit on the phones memory to a 1, so its impossible to get everything back.
I could be talking out my arse however.
Hi everyone,
unfortunately, I uninstalled an app and it deleted the folder with all backups as well. I am now searching for a way to recover deleted files from internal storage without root (since my phone isn't rooted and I can't root it either because it's a work phone). Does anyone know how I could do that?

Hi, I had a similar issue deleting photos on another rooted device and still couldn't recover the files using rooted recovery apps... So although never finding a solution, all i can say is you could try some pc smartphone recovery software, and that might probably be the only way you can recover some of the files. Also in the mean time don't copy another files or install apps to the phone becuase that will overwrite deleted files making them totally/permanently lost.
