Is there anyone who is having that same problem .. My battery charge drops drastically after a restart . is that normal????
Sent from my GT-I9082 using xda app-developers app
It's normal if you recently have clean installed any custom ROM on your phone. The battery will be automatically calibrated after a few charging cycles, don't use battery calibration apps because they have no effect whatsoever.
Can also be caused by old/damaged battery and need battery replacement.
just charge ur phone for like 2 hours here and there for a few days and the you will notice sharp battery lifes on any custom rom...p.s dont overcharge!
Thanks a mill guys for the reply .. Am glad to know nthn is up w my battery .

You lost your network connection, while phone try to reach it it use a way lot of energy..and heat slightly increase..
I'm experiencing a weird error... the battery percentage has been shown wrong.. I'm using chobits 1.8+ merruk pre 2.0...the performance is good but even weird thing is that I had 43% battery once , rebooted the phone to get 65% and another reboot it shows 90% now once I had 3% battery which lasted for an hour..
I did calibrate my battery but am still getting this issue.. Any assistance could be appreciated..
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda premium
Just use right method
Fully drain ur battery
(make sure phone boots and then swich off Do that 2 - 3 times to sure)
Then charge ur battery 100% in swich off mode
Dont remove ur charger
And wipe battery status via cwm
Boot ur phone and charge 100% and done

Have you tried re-calibrating your battery?
Yeah dear I have tried but battery celebration apps required 100% charging for celebration.. but my device has always showing under 60% charging that's why its not works..

If u know any other idea for battery calibration so kindly tell me, will really thankful

Is it in your status bar that it shows the incorrect value?
Try going to Settings > About Phone > Status
It should tell you the correct value there. If it still shows up as the incorrect value i believe it could be a problem with your actual battery.

In your case, you don't need an app for calibration. Since you can't get your phone to show correct status, reboot into Recovery, go to Advanced and Wipe Battery Stats. Reboot phone, Run Wifi, Bluetooth, Torch, Music and anything that could drain battery faster altogether until the battery runs down and switches itsef off. Try recharging and see the result.
Hope it helps.
Cheers.
Thank u so much to all of u..
I,ll do it and see the results..

This is strange... Changing the battery is not an option as it works well... Have you tried flashing another ROM?
If I may ask, did this battery issue started when you flashed CM7?

Its happened to quite a few people since I've been around this forum, dont think anyone has pinned down a particular reason for it happening and the only explanation from HTC is that its a mobo fault........
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
May be its a mobo fault but this is truth that I am facing this issue after flashing cm7.2..!
I have been told this rom working almost perfactly and such a nice and smoother one but before I was used Sunabh Rom v.1.1 by Vibhus which is also nice rom and had never facing issue like this on my previous rom..

Try revert to your previous ROM and see if your battery shows its true status.
Its not yet possible.. I have been delete nandroid backup of my previou rom

i have been experiencing the same problem with the battery .. doesn't seem to get past the 70% mark. I started noticing this few weeks into using CM7 ( currently using CM7.2 RC3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1698029 the issue still remains) At first i found out that if i reboot my phone after putting it to charge , it would charge all the way to 100 %. But slowly that too started fading and now nothing i do gets it above 70%. even got a new battery to no avail, and i cant get more than 5 to 6 hrs with the battery .. the battery drain is incredible
am i using an incorrect kernel or something ?? any help is appreciated .. thanks in advance !
My opinion is its something to do with your phone itself, if it was software/kernel related we would all most likely get the same problem as we are all using the same piece of software.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I too have this problem mine does not charge beyond 79% sometimes 75%. With my experience this is too do with the kernel that CM7 uses. If I restart the device it will show 100%.
If I go back to the stock kernel the charging goes all the way to 100%.
Either my charger has broken or its the overclock-able kernel.
I have tried every other method out there.
The battery performance is good BTW.
I lose 10% an hour (sometimes more) doing absolutely nothing with my phone. I check battery stats and like 98% is screen.
Question: how can that be possible if the screen isn't even on ?
I have tried everything. I'm running CM10 stable (which is supposed to be good for battery life)
10% an hour? This is a joke right? I have like no apps running. I even tried using apps that put the phone into DEEPSLEEP as soon as the phone/screen shuts off -- meaning every app is closed.
Nothing.
Any ideas? please help i love this phone but im going through 2 batteries a day and im not even using the phone that much.

Hello guys,
I'm having issues with my battery when using the same ROM more than 2 days. I explain myself, my problem is after a complete battery cycle (from 100% to 1% then charging...) my battery drains drasticaly (look at the screenchot). I did a reboot and it dropped from 95% to 30%. It happens to me on these ROMs (Rootbox, Carbon, SlimBean, Illusion...) I use KT kernel and sometimes BMS but same result. So i dunno if the problem comes from the ROMs or the kernels... I will look further into better battery stats to see which app is causing this.
Thanks for helping and sharing your stats !

I would try a full cycle or two with the stock kernel.
Or if you want to go one step further. Backup everything, nandroid and Odin back to stock and try a full cycle on that.

You could install Wakelock detector, [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector&hl=en] maybe its some crazy thing that eating battery.
Try using intellidemand as your governor on kt kernel, i was having problems like you until I used that governor.
Hope this gets resolved

Thanks man for your help but I think my problem got solved by doing 2x full battery cycle with stock kernel (I cross my fingers ). If the drain issue still comes after that I'll try using intellidemand as my governor!

Battery calibration is a myth.

After two or three charge cycles if your battery problem persists, it's most likely an app draining your battery. Or worse yet, your battery is shot.
