Tombstones are dump files from crashed processes. If you are not debugging and don't need them for troubleshooting (IE you are not in contact with the developer of the crashed app) you can delete them if you have root access. Of course they will probably be recreated as the app crashes again, but if they belong to an app you have uninstalled ( or the app has been patched and no longer crashes) you will regain the space "permanently".

Thank you. That is very helpful. I have no use for them and will delete them.
Is the same true for the contents of /data/system /Dropbox?
Can I delete these too?
Finally, are these app usage stats also deletable?
I'm doing some housecleaning.....

The dropbox files look like crash dumps and troubleshooting stuff, you might want to google it to be sure. As far as the usage stats I suppose if you wanted to you could delete them it *should* just zero out your stats. I would try moving them first to see if it causes anything crazy to happen.

a2sd/data2sd priority method

I understand that NAND is more rapid than sd card and differences between a2sd method, like the picture report in Amarullz thread.
I wonder if exist a method to give priority to some apps rather than others in internal storage.
I mean: for example, suppose that I have 50 apps but I frequently use 10, might be more performant put 3rd part App data and APK (and dalvik if is possible to separate it) of theese 10 apps in NAND and other datas of the other ones in SD card?
Maybe this requires also a GUI to choose apps, I can't imagine what it takes this. Sorry, maybe this idea is absurd, I don't know about programming, it's just.. an idea.

Does link2sd do that? Not sure..

Think so..
Im not sure what Amarulz is stating system apk's are in those pictures, but to me they are always on NAND, so those pictures are probably specific to one of those sense roms for cm7 that have to export system app to ext to fit....
Thanks, I didn't know about this. I will try it and post my impression.

[Q] "System data" folder taking up 10 GB, what's causing this?

Pretty straightforward, why is a third of my storage being eaten up by "System"?

In the clockworkmod folder on my phone? I've emptied that as well.
Google play; search "disk usage"
Edit: Somehow I actually missed the image on the first post. That's disk usage. Glad you figured it out, BTW.
a maguro sent this.
I figured it out. In Clockworkmod under backup and restore there's an option that says something like cleanup unused data. Selecting that seems to have fixed it.

System Data

Hello,
Never had any issues with my G3 in the year ive had it until now!
Basically I've checked my storage as my 16gb internal seemed to be incredibly low (especially since I store everything on my SD), I then realised I had a huge 8gb +/- taken up under Misc - system data. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to reduce this size.
On Samsung phones you can enter the hidden menu and wipe dumpstates and logcats but cant find the option on my d855 hidden menu.
I've flashed a bunch of ROMs and done resets etc but the problem persists. Any help would be great.
Using apps like System Cleaner etc etc DO NOT do anything as the problem lies in system data.
Thanks
Curtis

UPDATE
I've managed to improve my situation by doing the following;
Deleted the 'Facebook.orca' folder from my internal sd (That was a massive 4gb- but for some reason didn't come up under app data etc)
Installed FolderMount and linked my DCIM/Picture folders to my SD to give me an extra 1.5gb of internal space.

[Q] Help on Missing Files and Folders

I have noticed something weird with my device. When I connect my device into a computer or laptop running on Windows 7 and then view the contents of my "sdcard folder" or the /storage/emulated/0/ directory, there are some files and folders that can't be seen.
Those files and folders, however, can be viewed in an explorer app within the device such as Root Explorer or if I access my device from my computer through SSHDroid using WinSCP or command terminal like Putty.
I'm attaching a screen shot of what it looks like.

Do anyone here knows what's the issue in here, what caused this, and a way to fix this?
I'm running on stock rom 6.0.1 build number MMB29V, and my device is rooted.
Thanks in advance!
open Media Storage settings
clear data
reboot
@{fd}ware, I had the settings in Windows correctly. I learned from further reading from other sources that this isn't about the Windows Explorer settings. It was about the media storage rebuilding or refreshing.
Just like what @k23m responded, I have to clear media storage data and reboot the device to rebuild it.

OnePlus 5T font rendering issue after root

After rooting successfully I have found a weird glitch with the fonts.
This happens only in google apps, like Google Play Movies, Google Assistant and so on, it also happens in the permission warnings, ( like permission to access storage) but not on the whole warning, just the grant or refuse buttons. I have tried messing around to fix it but I cannot find any info about this problem. I have no idea what caused it or how to fix it, but it is very annoying.

Couldn't figure out what was causing it so I just took it as corrupted files and reset the phone. I used Titanium Backup to back up the whole thing and noticed the name of the apps on the list also had the weird characters, so I didn't back those up. After a reset it has been working fine with root, even after multiple Magisk updates.
i had the same problem, check if you have set the language English (XA) or something similar and add instead English US / UK.
