I installed Android 4.3 on my Sony Xperia ZL C6502 and I obtain the surprise for a process draining my battery without install or modify anything in my phone.
The process com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup what made or how I can desactivate because use a huge percent of my Battery. I think is the mobile data or Fast dormancy I guess
I need a explain or what I can made because my battery drains so quickly on 4.3.
I have a Smartwatch 2 but It not use a power on my phone in 4.2.2 I have a duration approximate of my battery for 15 hours and in 4.3 I have a duration of 7 to 10 hours only.

I made it and change the firmware from Generic GEL to Commercial and Journalist and the same problem. I Wipe Data three times on the same Firmware and I have the same problem on the phone.
My contract for mobile data is LTE data could be the problem the simcard? I suppose need change the sim to a USIM but I never go to obtain the new sim.

Don't you WANT a higher "system" usage than anything else? That means apps aren't sucking much battery.
I mean, if everything else is using so little battery (WiFi, screen, apps) what is left for the remaining percentage besides the system?

Not really.
I had this happen yesterday. It wasn't that the others were using so little power. It was that the power used by everything else was dwarfed by the power used by Android System. In just under two hours my phone had dropped to 85%. When I looked I saw that Android System had used 45% of that. The phone was not sleeping even when the screen was off. I could also see that the Stay Awake time of Android system was nearly 100% of the time I had been on battery. Something in the Android System was stuck in a wake lock.
I tried to determine what the process was that was hung up but I was unable to do so.
I rebooted the phone and the wake lock went away.
Sorry if this was answered somewhere, but search didn't return any results.
I don't even know what to call it.. It's the second slider right under the brightness one. What the heck is it?

Never seen it before neither have I see an option to enable it anywhere. I'm using the leaked MI6 4.3 rom. Was it there by default?

There is a bug in google backup service
There is a bug in google backup service, google backup service acquires wfii connectivity lock and does not release it for hours which prevents device entering deep sleep and as a result drains battery. Fortunately you can disable backup in Settings->Accounts->Backup and Reset-> uncheck 'Backup my data'. This should resolve the issue ... after a full recharge monitor your battery stats - Android OS should NOT be on the top.

After some investigation I've came to a conclusion that the problem is in the wifi manager itself. In normal case this lock should be held no more that 1-2 seconds for the entire battery charge. I've developed an application that will give an automated solution for this problem.

Battery is poor on MM in general. I havr V20B but still poor. I dont know how it would compare to CM13

All of you ppl who are having bad battery life, i suggest you do a factory reset. Backup yor settings/apps via LG Bridge.
Anyway that helped me a lot. I can't get the battery-on-time i used to have on LP, but at least i come close now...

Yes, stop using your fone while it is fast charging. It's already being stressed during the charge, it doesn't need you adding to its grief...

1. in developer options keep background process limit to 4 (after every restart)
2. while fast charging please don't use phone / or use moderately
3. due to 4k and big screen, z5p gets hot relativity faster
5. uninstall bloatware and unnecessary apps which wakes up automatically and loads on processor
6. if the device is ROOTED. install purify to keep notification access/application hibernation in play.
7. if your z5p is in jacket type book cover, please remove it while charging and/or while charging and using.
8. in my experience skype / Viber ( voice and/or video ) calling consumes alot of battery and processing power, making my devices HOT. hence i prefer other voip apps.
Just like the other poster I just got a Note 4 running kitkat (unrooted) and the battery is draining like crazy!
I want to get this phone rooted, but I am wondering if I should update my software to Marshmallow (or Lollipop) before rooting? What would be better for battery and overall performance of the phone? Battery is my biggest concern... is there anything I can do to the phone once it's rooted to extend battery life? Will upgrading to either of the firmware versions lock the bootloader so that it is no longer rootable?
Any help would be appreciated!
Confused,
me
This thread may answer a lot of your upgrade questions.

As far as battery, I think you'll do better with any ROM that has ItsOn removed.
IIRC, ItsOn wasn't activated while Note 4 was officially on KitKat. KitKat offered the best battery stats during that time as well. I haven't duplicated my best KitKat battery stats but came close with Lollipop Moar 2.1b with Beastmode kernel. I've recently hit a new high on Marshmallow PG1 update with Beastmode kernel.
Really think it's Google apps that are becoming more battery intensive than that era. So it may not be so much KitKat but applications and limitations thereof that factor into battery stats.
These stats are uncharacteristic for this phone but reachable if limiting streaming and mostly browsing with Wi-Fi and using Wi-Fi Calling. I do have some optimizations in place that root makes possible.
