Sorry if this was answered somewhere, but search didn't return any results.
I don't even know what to call it.. It's the second slider right under the brightness one. What the heck is it?

Never seen it before neither have I see an option to enable it anywhere. I'm using the leaked MI6 4.3 rom. Was it there by default?

There is a bug in google backup service
There is a bug in google backup service, google backup service acquires wfii connectivity lock and does not release it for hours which prevents device entering deep sleep and as a result drains battery. Fortunately you can disable backup in Settings->Accounts->Backup and Reset-> uncheck 'Backup my data'. This should resolve the issue ... after a full recharge monitor your battery stats - Android OS should NOT be on the top.

After some investigation I've came to a conclusion that the problem is in the wifi manager itself. In normal case this lock should be held no more that 1-2 seconds for the entire battery charge. I've developed an application that will give an automated solution for this problem.

Have you tried a different kernel?
Powered by the SGSII....
Do you have a weather app that updates every hour? I guess any app that auto updates at certain intervals.
It's your data being on combined with the fact that you have auto updates.
No surprise there.
Having auto sync on kills your battery, especially if you have many auto updating apps such as facebook, twitter, etc installed. Leaving background data on is fine though. When my phone goes into deep sleep (for example at night when I go to bed), I lose 1-3% over 8 hours with TDJ's newest ROM - Hope this helps!
Strange, but after yesterdays GO Powermaster (Widget) update the app shows incredible batterylife...

Have to be a failure in the update, or my battery got pimped overnight.
Anyone with the same problem?
Mine Jumped from around 7 hours at ~80% charge to 33 :|
Nice, I'll try that app in a while.

Actually its totally legit they bought the battery shaker battery charging app, and integrated it into the go widget!
You should see at least 75hours with the phone very soon!
Comes with free beer too!

He was being sarcastic.
Somehow the app states in that screenshot "Super save" saves more power than "Alarm mode". "Super save" says retains call and sms, so no mms or data. "Alarm mode" says "disable call, sms, and wifi", which is basically airplane mode.
~62 hours in "Alarm mode" (airplane mode) vs ~69 hours in Super save. Makes total sense if you ask me
Hello,
I'm having battery drains. Phone didn't go to Deep Sleep was awake in 51mhz for 7 hours. In 8 hours I lost 20% while it was in power saver mode.

Its the phone's radio, the one responsible for functions such as calls, messages and mobile data . it is required to maintain the phone signal . Based on the stats as the person above said its your live wallpaper causing the wake locks. Baseband xmm power is normal usage I suppose.

It can also be an alarm/notification that is causing it. I've had this issue before and it was an app that gave notifications in the background without actually showing you the notifications.
In my case I think it was the V-Pet app (my gf has nostalgia with Digimon ). Notifications were disabled but it was still sending them out hidden to the system.
Somewhere in my post history is help regarding this issue. If you need help I'll go dig that thread out
Anyone else seeing high background wifi data use by allshare service? I have had my att note 2 for less than a week and it shows 666 mb of data. I have noticed a couple times where this service is killing my battery untill i force close it. I tried to disable in app settings but it wouldnt let me. I have never actually used this service for anything.

If you are willing to root your device you will be able to dosable this app or uninstall it. The reason you cannot disable it is they have balled their bloatware into the system apps. Those are the ones you cannot disable it in settings and apps.
You can use tibu or any other means to uninstall it
Ya figured I could if I rooted, but not doing that until I'm for sure keeping the phone. Only one week into owning and haven't decided 100% yet.

in that case you may want to just try a good ol fashioned battery pull and disable background data and processes in the settings menu.
Thanks for the advice but actually already done both. The data has only gone up by about 10mb since yesterday though. It's not a big deal just trying to figure out why that much data is being transfered for a service I have never used.

have you tried disabling allowing the phone to use your location for informatioon gathering, stuff like that will also affect background processes.
I have unrooted bootloader locked Oneplus 3, updated to oos 4.0.1 . I have used for 2 full days and 3 charge cycles. have also done multiple cache clearing. have done a full wipe of data from default recovery too.
I had the same problem on the oos 4.0.0 update and had also done a full zip sideload for that version , but to no avail.
please have a look at the screen shots and judge for yourself. also a video of the gaming lag is linked below.(game - modern strike online).

I am not facing these issues but OP3 has a terrible WiFi that's for sure.
Same here, but I was able to solve. Try disable aggressive doze (I already use greenify) and startup app control in "apps". My battery is normal now, I'm on 4.0.1.

Okay. I'll disable agressive doze and app hibernation and try using greenify. Lets see. Thank u.
@tomriddle25 that's not terrible, show me as screenie when your battery hits 15% or below. My experience is that 100-85 drops really quickly and same for 50-0%
Been perfect battery life for me also, using aggressive doze and app hibernation.
An app must be causing your issue. I disabled and uninstalled greenify and my device had been flawless.
