[Q] ICS cm9 kernel

Edited: Is there any kernel for ics cm9 that we can flash?
Because i had few problems with kernel when changing frequencies etc.
First off, CM10 isn't ICS, it's JB aka Jellybean, ICS is CM9 (Android 4.0)
What kind of problems were you having?
Re: [Q] ICS cm10 kernel
O really i wrote that lol i thought cm9. Was bit in rush. I had like freq. Stay on max or on same freq when changing governor...

Sorry I read this wrong. I thought that it was for a CM7 rom. If I'm correct I don't think your wi-fi is going to work. All you need to do is either flash another kernel or factory reset

It works very well in CM7 rom but as you said you want a kernel with good battery life and the infinity play is a bit of a drainer but you can always tweak those settings for a better battery life.

My wifi is not working after flashing this kernel on Orion Rom by Wasimk32.

it won't work because it is created only for GB roms. kernel included in ics roms is the best so far...

If you want to revert to your old kernel, search for the zip you flashed (of your rom), take out boot.img and paste it into your adb/fastboot folder, reboot your buzz to bootloader, connect to pc and get a fastboot usb status on your bootloader, check connection with pc with cmd -
HTML:
fastboot devices
If it's recognized, head over and type
HTML:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Else, if you have a nandroid backup of when you started using the rom, head to advanced restore and restore the boot partition.

Changed kernel now phone don't boot.

Hi Nexus community.
I changed from se neo v to galaxy nexus maguro.
I bought the phone used and it come with purity 4.4 and purity kernel. I don't remember kernel version.
Before neo I used a galaxy mini. From that time I know that kernels can be flashed with cwm while at Sony phones you can't.
I did some reading at the stickys here at galaxy nexus forum.
I wanted to test a new kernel and downloaded purity v30 kernel. I entered cwm and installed the downloaded zip. After that I wiped dalvik. Now the phone don't boots. All I get is the Google font and than the phone stays black.
I have got the feeling that the flashed kernel doesn't fit to purity Rom v4.4.
Please help me solve my problem.

Thx. So my feelings were correct. The phone has got cwm 6.0.1.0 installed. I search for an option to mount the internal storage but found nothing.
Which kernel is purity 4.4 compatible?
As I can't reach my internal memory how can I flash a kernel. Via fastboot, adb?

You can find anarkia kernels under nexus android development.here is the link for older kernels: http://beta.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=2282
Purity 30 is 4.2.2 based, older purity kernels are 4.2.1 based, as could be found at the link.
I am using twrp recovery for flashing kernels and have no problems with finding internal memory files...so try to look for twrp.

Yeah cwm founds the internal memory, no problem here too.
What i mean is, i dont now how to connect to the phones internal memory at the moment. On my neo i had a external memory card which i don't have at my nexus any more.
So i must put the needed kernel to internal phones memory to flash it via cwm.
I havent installed any drivers yet to my win 7 pc. I have now downloaded gnex toolkit 10.1 and will install.

Rom suggestion

Guys is there ANY rom which does not have lagging issues on this phone?
When I am using whatsapp and I open viber everything crashes and the phone starts lagging like anythiny. I tried several roma including the ignorance v3, ligux and miui v5 but none of them are usable when it comes to the performance.
Currently, I am on the Miui v5 SPEED! rom and I have the hellboy kernal installed
Any suggestions? I'll be super thankful

Ignorance is the best just overclock and use it iam currently using this Rom only is speed and now lags even while playing games.....

And if u love Sense based roms den Ignorance V3 is best...just overclock to 1.498 Ghz and governor to smartmax or performance...!!

MIUI is really only meant to be used for looks and to try it out, if you use it you have to be ware of lag and speed issues. ShenDu OS is a lightweight alternative. If you want to continue using it overclock and install Turbo Boost.
MameTozhio, For me your last MIUI v5 with charm kernel works flawlessly. Kernel from Coldsorrow is awesome.
I have just OC'ed at 1.5 Ghz and no lag so far, very smooth.
Looks like there is already a 90 Mb swap partition by default with kernel without turbo boost :
/mnt/emmc/swapfile
Furthermore, I updated viper4android to v.2.3.0.1 without any issue
Thank you MameTozhio and Coldsorrow to make my One V powerful
Tapatalked with my Nexus 7
Well, you may try that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2345750
Working for quite a lot members... I just hope that it will also for you :fingers-crossed:
Can anyone please suggest me a perfect kernal for the Ignorance v3?
I am unable to OC my Phone currently I am using the 3.0.16-Titanium-KISS-USB [email protected])
I am really sick of the slow speed and lags on this phone, it keps crashing due to the lags and all.
I don't think that over clocking will fix the lash that is probably caused by misbehaving apps. Install greenify and hibernate everything big that stays awake when not in use.

This is no problem, those features don't need much battery. Just check the battery usage in the settings, and maybe you'll find the problem.

And battery drain too fast again. In 10 min my battery drop 10% .
Sweep2weak i disable, gps location off, screen brghtness 0%. I use only 10 minutes mobile data 3g network.
Battery drop 10%. I given up and back to Ignorance v5 again. Where my battery usuage is normal. In heavy use phone battery life is 7/8 hour. In this cm battery life is only max 4.5 h.
My battery usuage stats.
Any idea which custom I may install? I want clean, stable and fast rom, with good battery life. This Sense in Ignorance kill me....

If your bootloader is S-OFF, maybe flashing from twrp will work, but the safer way to do it would be via fastboot.
When you're in recovery, plug it into your pc, execute "adb reboot bootloader" and then "fastboot flash boot HELLBOY-2013-06-29-4.2.img"
If you flash the rom with twrp and the kernel with fastboot nothing can go wrong.

You can flash it via Odin, but from my experience, these stability updates are utter flop, better you go back to old 4.1.2. I accept 4.2.2 is rich with features, but it will kill your battery and phone
revert back to 4.1.2 i say ..thats if you want your phone unrooted...otherwise use the deodexed roms or aosp 4.4.2 roms....they have excellent battery backups and loads of features at lesser ram usage than official 4.2.2
Or simply install gennxt rom mahn..
