[APP] [ROOT] Fast Charge for Archos (ArchosFastCharge) - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Themes and Apps

This is a quick hack app I created to get something like fast charge on my tablet.
I tested it on Quallenauge's [ROM] [4.3.1] CyanogenMod 10.2.
!!! I don't know if it works on any other ROM !!! (Don't expect any updates unless I need it too)
Of course it required ROOT.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. MIGHT DESTROY SOME USB PORTS.
You need to activate it every time you plugin a usb cable.

Many people with this tablet have this slow charging issue. (I too, because my original charger has disappeared... I am using a wall charger with 3A, but the tablet keep displaying "Slow charging"...)
Please continue :good:
Thanks
EDIT: I have a Archos 101 g9
EDITIT: I also am a developer, If you PM me, I can continue the development of your App for you

[26 MAY] USB Host mode for HD2

Update: We finally have usb host mode working on leo.
The interrupt problem i was having was fixed by liiochen, right here (his blog). He has also tested a few devices like keyboard, mouse, storage etc..
Attached is the kernel and modules in a cwm zip. usb mass storage, usb charging, usb tether and usb adb will NOT work. adb over wifi should be fine. If you were going to ask, it's based on the latest tytung kernel.
Requirements:
ICS rom
Self powered hub OR a Y USB cable
How to:
1) Reboot to recovery
2) flash file
3) reboot to android
It supports both clk/magldr.

great that some1 is working on this as its something that i want for my hd2 especially if u can.get tv out working wish ud post news on how ur getting on and more.developers would help u out i think u should do.a poll on how many people want this as id say a large percentage of hd2 owners on here would say they do. when i finally retire my hd2 would be great to turn it into a media centre by connecting it to tv and a hard drive for files. i hope u keep.at it until u get it working and if u want a beta tester count me in!!
Maybe Rick gave up on this thread, considering none of the posts in it (including this one) apart from his have been development related (we are in the development forum...)
Also, don't you think if he had news he'd post it?

I haven't given up on this but yeah, such people really do nothing but spam the thread for no reason. I will require 2.6.33 kernel at a minimum to continue because usb stack interface was changed between .32 and .33 linux. So instead of starting from scratch, i have asked tweakos who already has a .33 kernel running perfectly for the source code for me to continue, He mentioned he had some data loss but has a backup and it would take him around 4~5 days to recover and upload that somewhere.
As for the news, whatever news i would have about the host controller wouldn't be understood properly as most of it would be regarding low level stuff or unless the news is about release..
As for the possible uses of usb host would be:
1) USB joysticks, (any controller that works with linux) so you can play psx emulator with real controls, and other supporting games
2) USB TV in, Watch TV on your HD2 using a USB powered TV tuner card.
3) USB TV out, Use larger displays for your HD2 using usb monitors or some kind of usb video adapters certified for use with linux
4) USB sound cards for those who want real quality audio with an external usb sound card, but i think android does not support this. will require GNU/Linux distro.
Infact anything that works properly with USB 2.0 in linux will work in kernel space and can be used by apps which have ability for such hardware.
Wow, that's great. I love USB TV out function.
I want it, good luck
Good luck with this one. It would be great to have on our beloved hd2's

How about using my kernel 2.6.35.14 forked from ACA which is forked from Marc? I have done a lot of work making it very stable and fast...

Which froyo roms have OTG support?
It would be useful to use one for Ubuntu http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025499 (and possibly Debian http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1029390) via VNC
Thanks

AOKP Rom and battery Charging

Just a quick note,
Loaded Surdu's AOKP Rom last week on my G9/80 and all my problems with WiFi disconnecting from my password protected wireless network are completely gone. GPS takes about a min longer to lock onto signal compared to Rom 4.0.7 but works just fine.
The biggest difference I have noticed is that with all prior Roms I could only use the cable as provided by Archos for "fast" charging", all other cables would take days for my tablet to charge. The AOKP Rom allows me to use any cable and they all work for "fast" charging. Very convenient.
Thanks Surdu!

Hello, I would also install I aokp rom, but the adb shell I do not recognize the device.
Can you help me? thanks
You probably need to install the Archos USB drivers. Search around the forum, and the sticky posts, there are instructions for everything. If it's the USB drivers, you can find them on the Archos site. There are instructions there if you're running Linux too.

I used Quinny's guide found on the link below to install it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1413293
It is under the Gen8 General section but worked perfectly for my Gen9.

Thx for u work.
battery charging
Well........I just loaded 4.0.24 slim as updated by Surdu ( thank you kindly sir!) And the battery charging is back to slow charging with many cables?
This tells me that something in the firmware is causing it?
Oh well.........

[ROM][CM10] Ultimate Jelly

Some of you requested a working CM10, so i'll provide some up-to-date test builds.
Downloadlink: http://www.mediafire.com/?7d2xd0xw9gantpo
Gapps: http://goo.im/devs/OliverG96/gapps-lite/gapps-jb-20120726-lite-rebased.zip (Flash them after you have booted, don't know it these gapps work.)
I don't have much time coming weeks so i'll change the layout of this thread later.
I don't have a HTC Hero, so I don't know what works, what doesn't. I don't even know if it boots.
YOU have to test and report what's working/bugs. It will go slow but it's all I can do.
I have used Shelnutt's CM10 build for HTC Hero CDMA which is quite the same.
Don't forget to push the THANKS button and to thank shelnutt for his builds!
Is this the rom or only gapps ?

It boots, that's a good thing. CM10 is indeed slower as CM9 on my Magic too, probably because it uses even more memory and don't forget it just a raw build.
I'll see if I can get some things improved with scripts.

How can you dev something if you cant test it? I'm a software dev, but I need my debugger all the time..

Because we know what it takes to make it work since the process is almost same, our devices Hero and Magic are not that much different so the steps that are needed to port to magic are not that different from steps needed to port it for hero

It's quite easy since once you know which files have to be replaced, you just have to repeat it for every ROM you port. :good:

What was your solution?
I am also looking for a car based rom but don't want to pay to get timur's
I bought into the timurs but when I tried to go back to stock - I cleared the rom and wiped the tablet to go to stock- I wiped everything and bricked the tablet. My computer didnt recognize the tablet in bootloader or twrp mode...Oh well. I am waiting for my other tablet to arrive to see if I can finally do it. As far as the question"...to timur or not to timur?" I couldn't tell you but the biggest complaint that I see while using the experimentalx is the recognition of the dac Which in my application makes the world of difference since everything is going to go through the dac - as far as audio. Another cool feature is its ability to recognize the reverse input through my camera. It switches to your backup camera app once the kernel detects power on the camera. Again, I have yet to test ANY of it out. Sorry I couldnt help anymore. it really all depends on what features you are looking for. Just as a comparision, I am gonna run the following: dac, 2 hubs, fm, back up cam, extra usb extension, flash drive for music, flash drive for video, and mic. Still trying to see if I can find a usb fan that is controllable via an app If it plugged into one of the hubs. Good luck...let me know what works for you.
Let's hope someone could share the Timur Kernel.
He said with his words that it is completely legit to share his source and kernel. He was just not willing to do it.
As the nexus is getting old. People who would like to donate has already done.
BTW, can you please share if you can get OTG & Charge to work together under elementalX without having to re-plug the mini-usb everytime?
Thanks.

[Guide] How to Download & Install Official One UI 3.0 for Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+

Hello!
Great news today! Samsung released the Official Android 11 One UI 3 on Germany (DBT) today ahead of its scheduled release date! More countries will get it in coming days.
I have not experienced any lags or issues so far and SafetyNet works perfectly fine so Android Pay, Bank apps should work! I noticed the volume UI has been reposition on the left side (yay!). Will let you know here if I discover anything new or improvements. Let us know your thoughts!
I made a video explaining everything step by step.
I want to thank @t-shock for being the only legend to share all the Beta ROMS to the community which you can find on this link - (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...roid-11-oneui-3-veta-3-to-your-n975f.4190295/)
I'm having some animation lag with the keyboard and when pulling the notification draw, its there

I have no ideia if this will help anyone but still...
Odin hates thunderbolt - If you plan on using a USB-C port make sure it's not thunderbolt. It will fail half way in and freeze. Get a well rated cable and do it via USB concentrator directly
If you get stuck and you cannot access recovery via key combo or smartswitch emergency recovery use Odin - open options and select get device info - It will reboot directly to the recovery if it was previously written (check the log). After that disable the get device info option and reconnect the cable (select files for flashing again - should go smoothly.
If after the reboot and setup you get a moisture warning on the USB port - this does not make nay sense but it works - Turn off the Note, plug in a usb cable on the PC and reboot the phone connected to the cable - It will reset the sensor warning and should work flawlessly.
Hope to have helped - Had a bit of a jarring adventure setting this one up this time.
The lag in the animation is there, however, I think it's the animation timer that is set higher (slower) it's not slow "per se" but it shows.
UI 3.0 seems cute - not a large difference but more granular control. all in all it's ... cute ...

Theoreticaly, yes. In effect I wouldn't recomend it - It will bug out, misshandle the battery and stats and will break some apps in the long run. A clean slate will always guarantee the best experience
