Which KK Rom is the smoothest - LG Optimus G Pro

Which custom rom run the smoothest & doesnt eat up all the battery? Out of curiosity cos I tried them all I think & I cant tell >.< lool

Can't help you there buddy. Every phone is different and every user has their different tastes. Asking which is smoother is like asking which is better. I know you said you've tried them all but if you can't tell the difference then why is it a problem? As long as it isn't freezing up on you or stuttering I'd say they are all smooth. Want smoother? Play around with the CPU and Governer settings. Just dont set them too low. Good luck

I love omni. Very nice

I've been faithfully on official cyanogen 11, I have no issues, I even run a lot of my own tweaks

Another great ROM for our beloved e980 is miui, granted its only 4.2.2, but in my experience both mini and cm11 have close to stock performance

q: why is my home screen loading so slow?

After exiting my programs and pressing home button..my load screen is extremtly slow in loading the clock and icons.
Also my typing is super laggy. Seems to have half a second delay when typing or deleting.
I feel after i rooted and flashed its been much slower
How can i solve this?
Without knowing more it would be hard to troubleshoot.
First thing I would look at is memory and cpu usage with something like system tuner.
Then look at your rom/kernel (most likely the problem)

What am i looking for when i look at my Rom and kernel?
Also how do i use system tuner?
Normal stuff like cpu usage.. If you notice you have a lot of third party widgets taking a lot of cpu etc..
Regarding rom, might want to ask in that thread see if others have the same problem.. Also might want to try basic stuff like wiping cache..

why would you regret rooting? Seems silly I've rooted a bunch of devices with no issues like yours, its obviously something else that's slowing you down

Yes but ive had it in before and it wasn't an issue. I also turned it off and still laggy
Well what I would do is just start over from the beginning, wipe everything then reflash your rom and then see if everything goes back to normal

Very laggy phone

I flashed jb the first few hours it got leaked. It came with a pit file that supposedly repartitions the ram. The leaked version had a lot of problems of it's own and also had problems with lags and freezes, I thought that will go away when I flash the official firmware but I was wrong.
I experience lags in all games and apps. In subway surfers, the run can start smoothly but as I progress, it starts lagging and even freezing. Youtube is the same thing, I will be watching a video and all the controls would become unresponsive and the video to lag badly until it exits the app or the phone reboots itself. I also get small audio and video freezes in mx video player.
I think this has to do with that repartitioning. I want to know if there is a way to revert to stock gingerbread ram partitioning and flashing jb again.

I have to mention, it makes no difference if I clear the ram or not befor entering an app.

Flash CM10 (dh.harald) or CM10.1 (SlimBean), will be smooth and ask in Q&A thread.
dh.harald cm10 a little smoother and try MG2 stock
Yup should try mg2...its probably the smoothest firmware and works well with Other Roms I also used the app called lagfix seems to work fine no lag at all for me.

Yep....ya u can go back to gingerbread ram..search Up how to downgrade from from jb to Gb. You should find a website with the link to GB firmware with pit
:/ can't post link..hope this helps XD

try CM...
Lol since newest build of cm10 with omx i have the same sometimes i have freezes in videos but not in games only in videos so i think it's maybe an omx problem?

For me, gb is like a fresh breath of air after months of jb frustration. I really don't think a custom rom can fix all the problems that official jb has. Games run perfectly now, no more caller id lag, nicer keyboard, no freezes and so on. I value reliability more than looks and that's what gb has to offer. If anyone fins himself in the same situation as me, i really recommend him rolling back to gb and feel the differennce!
//Also, i appreciate the extra battery life.

Try, and you will see, CM is free of that bugs from official JB and is more smooth thqn GB but it have own some bugs.
Camera not working, gps not working or sound bugs, no thanks.
Sent from my GT-I8160 using xda app-developers app
In Slim Bean camera is working, sound is ok.
So i reflashed now cm10 wiped only cache and no freezes anymore maybe you should wait for next version of Cm 10 and flash it then because it is an amazing rom gps bug ? Have no gps bug if you're talking about cm10

Hello, I also had this issue 2 days ago. I was on HyperDrive Rom and I couldn't get my screen to turn on at all after a call. It happen when I downloaded a nightly of Cyanogenmod and had it fail. What I had to do was restore a week old back up and haven't had it return yet. Maybe CM related? I'm not sure but been fine since.

Well then I'm going to say ALWAYS MAKE A BACK UP!! then you can delete it if ur new Rom works good but u should always keep at least ONE. If you do have that one back up I would say yes, go do that or the better and easier option is to just start completely fresh with a full wipe and new Rom. Hope this helps. Btw I have not had that problem since I used a week old back up

Its a kernel issue, and it could possibly be a cm source issue. Meaning most cm based kernels could have the hard sleep issue. So if its on one cm kernel its almost going to be on all. Since source commits are the same, just added features per kernel. I highly recommend yank 555 kernel, then you can tune your max off freq and hardlimit etc. May help you out a bit.. Pm me for link to thread if needed

Quiet volume on Cyanogenmod 11

Hey guys, does anyone know how to solve the quiet in call volume in cyanogenmod 11?
Really loving the rom, but this is my old bugbare with it.
Thank you.
Flash a custom kernel like agni and use boeffla or wolfson. In it increase the speaker amplification to increase the volume
---------- Post added at 02:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:46 PM ----------
You can also try viper 4 Android and in that use Dolby pro irs file
Search I mean google viper4 Android and irs files
Hey, I have tried a custom kernel. No results so I flashed back to a stock kernel because it was more stable.
Thanks mate, any other suggestions? Should I add that if I decrease and then increase my volume in call it goes back to being loud.

I found out this is a common issue for cm 11 stable, the nightly version fixes this but what else will be wrong with the unstable version. So I am still trying to figure out this.
Thanks guys.

It appears the nightly does now fix it. Any other ideas?
Sent from my GT-N7105 using XDA Free mobile app
You could use it never hurt if you have backup
Tried it, increased volume a little bit. But it is no where near the Samsung rom.
Can anyone give me any other suggestions I'm really racking my brain.

Posted on the Cyanogenmod forums, there are a decent amount of people having this issue too.
I am running Cyanogenmod M9, sound is not good in call.
