How do you unlock this phone from Verizon. I don't want to hear "this phone won't work with other carriers" or what ever. I just want to unlock this phone from Verizon. Please help!

You may be able to flash this phone to straight talk or page plus but as far as unlocking it and using it as a gsm phone I don't think that will be possible because it only has CDMA radios. If I am wrong some one please correct me.

I was hoping to go to straight talk. I already bought a Sim from them.
How would I flash to straight talk?
Or Verizon prepaid... I have a donor phone for Verizon prepaid but I would prefer ST if possible.
My donor phone is the gusto 2 currently on $50 prepaid plan. I wouldn't mind 1x if that's all that comes wwith that plan. If I use vzw prepaid do I need a Sim? Do I need to flash?
Kinda rude to post a question and then state "I don't want to hear...". Have you tried Google? I recently started looking into going to straight talk and so far all I have found is that the Toro will not work with it. But I have not looked deeply yet. As old as this phone is, you should be able to find what you need by searching. And the development section is the wrong place for this.

From what I have read so far it depends on the phone. But again I haven't gotten far with my search. But you can go on straight talks website and enter in some information from your phone, and it will tell you if you can activate it. I'm thinking about a nexus 5 on straight talk.

i wanted people To see it work but there is still more to the puzzle like data I'm sure this was not the only way to write a prl to the phone and can't wait to get my hands on another one as the one I had was a customers dat had took it to 3 cricket store already and was giving the run around about how its impossible to flash it took all of a hour to get it talk and text flash with a little more time I'm sure I could have got data
Could one potentially use part of this to safely change their PRL only? i.e. putting a corporate PRL on the phone?
EDIT: It seems to have worked.
Yes You can use this To put any prl You want even tho u rename it test it still Will show the verison in about

Whoa, what happened to your original post?
So even though this is a 4g lte phone, it is able to be flashed to metropcs? Currently i have the evo 3d flashed to metro and I wanted to get the galaxy nexus. But I wasn't sure if the sprint version could be flashed or not.

If i was to buy a sprint galaxy nexus and go to any metropcs, they would be able to flash it and get talk and text with their program of houdini? or you have to use a different program in order to flash it?
As of right now no houdini Will not work You can check there website tho

Metro PC's is a joke
You are better off looking on Craigslist find someone who has a store (preferably)
Why?
Because even in the event they do do it you will probably only get talk and text.Usually no mms or web
An independent retailer will most likely get the job done better.

No one can flash this at all. Is there/Will there be software? So that it can be flashed to cricket. This is what I wanted. Now I guess I will put the phone on craigslist. Any insight.
What about another phone similar like nexus s
I have been kicking myself for a week now trying to get a Nexus on cricket and I have been getting nowhere. Its their international phone and it works when I put a sim card in it from AT&T and T-Mobile but no such luck with Cricket.
Sorry about the hi jack. But the site video said if I can't find the exact answer that I'm looking for I should find one close to it and post it in there.
The phone is mod GT: i9020T Google Nexus S
Thanks in advance.
You can only flash a CDMA phone to Cricket or MetroPCS the i9050T is a GSM phone.. if it uses a sim card it wont work...
When/If Verizon cuts off my Unlimited data I want to know if I can take my phone over to sprint? Will they activate it?
Even if they could (doubt it), you won't get anything past voice and 3G.
Would be best to just flash it to another carrier... not sprint. Although I wonder if they would give you a sprint gnex for yours and for leaving big red I'd talk to someone high up about it. Make it a promotion.

Not true. I know a few people that used the Evo 4g on Verizon, so it is possible. You have do some stuff with CDMA workshop and reprogram a lot of stuff but you can make it work.

I tried logcat, and even pressing in 50 different combinations just hoping to get lucky. If you can help I would appreciate it.

Hi, does anyone know if a galaxy nexus with a bad esn on sprint can be flashed to page plus? I know it can be done with other phones. Is there something special about this phone, where you will need access to your sprint account or something? I am looking into purchasing said phone, and currently have page plus. Thank you.

Verizon uses different technology, and even if it WAS compatible, Verizon will only activate verizon branded phones. There's literally 0% chance of getting this to work, sorry.

The above post is correct. GSM = att vs CDMA = Verizon
But you're still in luck! You can sell it for a Verizon model, or trade it for a Verizon brand!! There's plenty of sites out there that'll do that. And it's a plus that it's unlocked also. Makes it easier for anyone to use on any gsm network!!

Here's the deal, Today i went to Wal-mart to get a new phone for my wife. What i desire to do is move it to straight talk. because Verizon does have signal at my house. So from this point, is there any way to get this Galaxy S4 to see the Verizon towers and work on the Straight talk network using those Verizon towers? And If So, Can someone please post the step by step instructions (without assuming that i know what a jailbreak or unlocking is) so that i can make my wife happy.

Can't be done
Can't be done. T-Mobile is GSM, Verizon is CDMA, incompatible networks.
Straight Talk resells service for the major carriers but for Sprint and Verizon, who are CDMA carriers/networks, you have to get phones compatible with CDMA to use on Straight Talk and vice versa for T-Mobile and AT&T.
ok how about this

Neither the T-Mobile nor AT&T variant will work on Verizon. Period. There isn't an unlock you can do, no ROM you can flash, no special code you can put in to change that fact.
For ST or Net10 to use the Verizon towers you need a CDMA phone, which the M1919 S4 is not. As was mentioned in the post above mine, you DO have the option to run off of T-Mobile or AT&T networks either through the respective carriers or use those towers via Net10 or Straight Talk; but using the Verizon towers in any way is impossible with the particular device you purchased.

Where'd you buy it? I bought mine from TMO and was told I can return it within 30 days for a full refund. As others have posted, you can't do what you want with that phone, period.
Edit: Reread your original post. If you have to have Verizon then the phone you bought won't work. Just like a AM radio won't pick up FM stations. It's that simple. Take it back to Walmart and get a refund. BUT, if you can live with using T-mobile away from home and have wifi at home you can get a T-Mobile plan and use wifi calling and internet access at home, and the TMO network elsewhere. You want to use wifi at home anyway because it doesn't count towards data or calling usage. It's all seamless, so there's no problem using it that way.
Dude seriously I find it hard to believe you don't have Wi-Fi in your home. Because if you do, your problems are solved. Your phone supports Wi-Fi calling and messaging (SMS/MMS). This is why I switched to T mobile.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe the AT&T and T-Mobile variations are able to pick up 100% of each other's bands so this argument is invalid.
