Thanks Eaglerazor! Nice to see Ziggys work again. He had the best kernel for the HTC TBOLT.
Is there way to enable FastCharging?

That doesn't indicate if its CM or TW. CM kernels are based on source from Samsung same as TW. OP should be updated to indicate TW-based kernel which I see has been done.

Agreed :good:
I just done some benchmark tests and they are pretty good in terms stock or ktoonsez kernel ( I've tried few configs about KT, but nothing like this one ) So the results are:
Quadrant: 6653
AnTuTu: 10469
Vellamo: Metal 627, HTML5 1889
20mins (on screen) doing benchmarks 5% battery
EDIT: @eaglerazor123 can you add date to the topic? It is easier to check for newer versions
And to ask again is it possible to ON the Fast Charging? In the very first post you say it is off by default so it means it can be enabled?
What app is like ktweaker that I can use with this kernel?

I will upload the kernel source code of the weekend, please wait.
The 3.066 kernel is not the best, was previously tested products, in general, he compiled kernel, then send me the test, then I help him find the problems and BUG, the kernel is at his best, he is still trying to develop, will soon have to update
If you are using this kernel is found in any of the BUG, please give me feedback, tell me what ROM, AOSP, CM or SENSE

Oh I can't confirm the flickering or not cause I never had that issue on either of my glaciers.
The sound does seem to be a lot louder on this kernel. I had to turn everything down after flashing it cause the effect ticks and keyboard ticks were way to loud.

It is hard for a sense rom to work for AOSP.

AFAIK there is no CM8... And for CM7, I don't believe ARCO ever built CM7 for galaxy w. There is a CM7 port in development section if I remember correctly. It is not from ARCO and it had some bugs....
May I ask why you don't like the last three versions. CM9 is pretty much bug free and quite stable. Even CM10 is pretty stable and currently using it. It is stable enough for me for daily use.
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda app-developers app
Because they drain too much battery and after some period they start to give some problem. At the beginning they are awesome but after they're not pretty good. I always do pristine to make things go better, but I just want a stable rom that is only faster then the original one on my galaxy w. And the cm's rom are not satisfying me.

If you don't like sir arco's work, you can just use stock rom, which is samsung's work. Just don't put a bad comment, not stable enough or what so ever. I don't know why you still feel that cm9 also not stable enough. I think all the cm9, cm10 and cm10.1 are all very stable and very good for daily use. But if you don't satisfy enough, and i don't know what will make you satisfy, just make your own rom.

OK first of all cool down a little bit. Everybody has different needs and what maybe stable for you might not be stable for somebody else. For me I had reboot issues for a very long time with CM9 but so many did not. But with the latest releases, bugs that bothered me disappeared.
And don't blame people for searching alternatives to satisfy their needs. And not everybody has development skills to built roms.
Sometimes I don't get you people. CM is not a religion and arco is not a prophet. I don't get why you people are so serious.
I am grateful that ARCO developed CM for us and I can't thank him enough. But gee it is just a phone and a ROM.
My suggestion to you is to CHILL...
I don't think ARCO needs your protection and his work speaks for itself.

No, Arco is no prophet, just human like you and me. There you are right. He is a very smart guy who deserves a lot of thanks for porting CM9 to this device.
You just must understand many people are really really very thankful to him and sometimes overstating by threating him like a god.
I for myself also do not understand why CM9 isn´t working stable for you. It´s a really stable rom. Way more stable than Samsungs stock ROMs. With these I had always random reboots. That´s not the case since using Arcos CM9. Maybe it´s some apps you are using or your SDCard causing this.
Ok, but to be honest regarding stability in the final release I can´t tell. I was using RC2 with it´s older kernel till now because of the battery drain. it was running absolutely stable for me without any issues plus it gave me a awesome battery life, so I compiled my own kernel where i reduced it further. So if you are not satisfied with the final, you can try RC2 or RC3 together with my kernel. It gives way better battery life than Samsungs stock ROM will ever offer you.
However I updated last night to the final release and the battery drain appears to be the same like using Arcos CM9 RC2 with its stock kernel. So if the results will satisfy me, I will stay with the final and build a new personal kernel for it.

Most of the latest ROMs are based on ARCO's CM versions and I believe they will perform on the same level. However some of them may have some extra customizations to improve battery and performance etc. You may want to check their threads and see their features. Also there are some custom ROMs based on stock Samsung Roms. (Gingerbread) Like FAW, rebel etc. They may have custom kernels to speed up the phone.
When was the last time you tried CM9? Because as @honeyx noted, the latest version does seem to have good battery performance and stability.

As I already told you, try the final and if that doesn´t satisfy you regarding battery life, try the older RC2 or RC3. If one of these gives you better results, you can also try my kernel for them.

I think so, but I will focus on reducing the consumption further than adding a lot of governors. But this will require a lot of testing before launching it. Currently I´m testing the newer 3.0.81 kernel to which Arco updated his sources after launching the final release. This new kernel just has some changes in memory management like the latest kernel for CM10.1 where some people reported to get hangs. So I just added the lulzactive governor, incrased ram and reduced the voltages to first check it´s stability, but so far I didn´t get any hangs and freezes in games.
I´m really anal about stability and consumption and only will release a kernel that is working rock solid for me.
I've only had this phone for about a week or two, and as soon as I hopped on board the s2 wagon, all of these different roms are appearing! My question, what combinations are working best for you guys? I've been using PAC with the second uber build, not nightly. Really fast, but the battery could be better, even with moderate use. I apologize if this is the wrong place for this. Please correct me if it is.

If you want a balance between battery and performance (I think that's what you want) then you should use linaro paranoid android. As that gives me good performance and battery. Also I find uber pretty good with that ROM so you should try them both as a combo.
Here's Paranoid Android:

Here's Uber Kernel :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40168260
But I find paranoid android does not have as much features as PAC so if you still want those features just try PAC with another compatible aosp kernel as you should find the right one. That gives you what you want.

Hi guys! I don't think you've heard of me. I'm just another kernel dev from another forums. I've been developing kernels in XDA for about a year now. Anyways, getting on with it, ASKP started from galaxy nexus initially. And now, we've been making a huge success to the device itself as majority of the users run ASKP. But instead of bragging, I rather show it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46390201
If you look around that forum, most kernels are based on ASKP.
Okay. So. Why am I here? To bring ASKP to your device. The optimus G. Why? For a complete idiotic friend.
Joking.
Anyways, please feel free to drop a post here regarding any issues kernel developers are having right now or, what you want to see in ASKP.
Cheers
Amperific.

If you just want to port your mako kernel, all you have to do is cherry-pick https://github.com/xboxfanj/kernel_msm/commit/8767da2ee3154956922e0248ea164f1dc14aead7 and fix any conflicts and then remake the defconfig (make gee_defconfig, mv .config arch/arm/configs/gee_defconfig and then copy any changes you did for mako).
Let me know if you need any help.
