Phone's gone into bootloop - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

I was on MIUI v5, and I wanted to try out hellkat 4.4.2.. At this point I had CWM 5.
So I flashed twrp 2.6. I tried doing a factory reset. It got stuck while factory resetting,
Then I pulled out the battery and tried advanced, wiping cache, system, dalvik cache, data.
Then again, strangely it got stuck there as well.
Luckily I had backed up MIUI rom, so I tried restoring, but it didn't work. It goes on bootloops.
twrp recovery doesn't detect CWM .img file. So, I cant revert to CWM as well.
It does flash .Zip files, So I tried flashing MIUI rom again ,and It still goes into bootloops.
What do I do?
P.S I'm still a newbee, It's only my 2nd rom i tried flashing.

When using 2.6 twrp in settings u need to check the box next to rm-rf than u can wipe everything except ur internal and external SD.. Unless u want them wiped than check all than u should be able to flash any ROM after wiping report back after

Will try! But as of now, It's not booting, when it does, I'll try it out!

U may have flashed too many things with out doing the correct wipes.. If all else fails just Odin back to stock and restart from there

Thanks a ton. It worked.
I just had to check the box next to rm-rf , and Now I'm on MIUI v5 again.
But I still cant flash hellkat rom for some reason.
Even though I can factory reset, and wipe dalvik cache, cache, system and data.
any reason as to why I cant flash this rom??

Tried, not helping.
Try manually by:
Using a file explorer go to data>dalvik-cache and wipe everything reboot to recovery and to what you need there
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
flash ics17 kernel, then try again.
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
Same prob.
This problem related to the kernel you are using.. flash Advanced Stock ICS or Stock+ Kernel and then try again.
I tried, it wont help. Still cant accsess dalvik cache wiping.
Like i sayed: only solution is to flash stock firmware, then root it, and then works. If i flash KAv8 or other stock ICS kernels, then problem comes back.
Go to recovery ,advanced option and mount cache. Than try it again.

[Q] [HELP] Wipe data now working/Bootloop/Cant find my backup.

Okay so I tried flashing a new rom and the wipe data got stuck at formatting cache. then it rebooted randomly and got stuck on a boot loop. Pulled the battery and tried to restore but to no avail. Cannot find file. I am new to rooting and this is not my phone so I am definitely starting to sweat. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Don't sweat, just use ur PC download another rom and mount SD card to PC, transfer ROM to SD card and flash, and did u say u wiped data and cache after flashing a ROM? Noooo wiped everything 3x BEFORE u flash, sooo boot to recovery, wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache, then flash ROM and reboot, or if asop ROM flash ROM then flash gapps then reboot, and as far as ur backup, what recovery are u using? U should just be able to push restore and the recovery should find the backup by itself, I can help u if need be, pm me

Sorry I wasn't specific enough. The wipe data/cache was not working. It would get stuck at formatting cache.

Stuck at Google/flashing the wrong kenel

OK. I flashed the wrong kernel on my new Nexus 7 (2013). My stupid, I flashed the kernel (franco) for the old Nexus 7 on the new one.
Luckily, I can still access bootloader and recovery (TWP). Now it's stuck at Google (again, I can still go to bootloader and recoery).
Where can I find the stock kernel that I can use? Or Can I flash a custom kernel?
Thank you in advance and I appreciate every comment.

I recommend flashing a custom kernel.

Have you considered trying this which will return your Nexus 7 to its original factory settings with a stock image? I haven't used this method but it may get your tablet working again. Also, for future reference, you should always make a nandroid backup before you flash something new in case you run into problems like this.
Wiping the cache/dalvik cache usually works for me when it would hang on the boot screen after a flash.

I did it but nothing changes
Do you have a ROM installed?
Try restoring to factory settings, reflashing a ROM, and then flashing the kernel. Wipe cache/dalvik once you're done and see if that works.

Try flashing the stock rooted ROM here.
To restore to factory settings, go to "Wipe" then slide the slider at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks cyberprodigy and Username invalid for helping me.
I fixed it.
After flashing 2 custom kernels (all of them were said to be completed install) but I was stuck at Google.
So I tried to flash a stock kernel (I downloaded it from here, sorry for hotlink-ing from another forum: http://droidbasement.com/asus/razor/flo/sys-backup/jb-4.3_ota-full_n7_razor-flo.zip). I will also uploaded the stock kernel file extracted from that link in case somebody needs it but doesn't want to download the whole Stock ROM.
The file extension is .img, so for people not knowing how to flash this file, use this command
"fastboot flash boot <the file name.img>"
Thanks again.
Here is the llink to the stock kernel for N7(2013). it's 16Mb so I can't attach it.

[SOLVED] Unable to install custom rom after modem upgrade

Hello,
I have a unique issue. I'm having a problem installing any custom rom on my t999 (tmobile). I have been using a custom rom for over a year. Always used TWRP. Started with Paranoid Android and for the last few months I've been using PAC-Man (nightly) roms. I was having gps lock issues, I decided to upgrade the modem to a leaked UVUEMJC, this fixed the gps lock issue. But after the reboot, I was stuck on bootloader screen. The only way I could get the rom to work was to backup the rom, flash the system and data, and after that, the rom would work until reboot. I did this a few times until it stopped working. My efs was corrupted, IMEI missing, To recover it, I went into download mode, and noticed in red Warranty bit =1. I used odin to flashed a rooted cf 4.3 samsung touchwiz rom (root66_TMO_T999UVUEMJC). All imei/efs issues were fixed. I decided to try installing a custom rom again, PAC-Man rom, it installed just fine, all EFS/IMEI info was intact, but at reboot, I got stuck on the CM bootlogo. This happens everytime. IF I recover a backup, it gets stuck on the boot logo. I'm using TWRP v2.6.3.
Anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Thanks!
Install TWRP 2.6.3.1. Then take a Nandroid.
Next wipe /Data. Then flash your Custom Rom. Wipe Dalvik + Cache after the Flash. Reboot and report.

Thanks for the help!
I'm also having trouble flashing PAC-man.
SGH-T999LUVUBMK4
Factory reset everything, wiped SD card.
Tried latest TWRP and CWM.
Suggestions?

Boot loop issue :( please help

Ok, so i was using the cyanogenmod nightlys just fine until i decided to want to try other roms (Pac-man, exodus, etc.) when i loaded the first i used clockwork recovery and it seemed to go smoothly and installed the Gapps, and BAM boot loop, i can still access the recovery menu and the Odin mode menus with the boot sequence, ive successfully side-loaded other roms and Gapps and nothing seems to work, everything just gives me the boot loop, Any help is much appreciated.
Edit: forgot to mention, sometimes it loads the rom but only for a few seconds and reboots again
Assume you did clean flash? Wiping data, cache, dalvik cache.
Also twrp recovery works a little better flashing lollipop roms.

yes, i did a clean flash, do you think it could be as simple as using twrp?
Could even be the gapps you're using. If you're using a very recent build of a rom, make sure you're using new gapps. Try open gapps.
It's also sometimes necessary to wipe internal storage.

In twrp. Wipe/advanced wipe/ internal storage. Make sure you have anything you need from internal backed up.
