Hi all
I flashed the official CM11 M2 snapshot with PlayfulGod gapps and all seems to work quite well expect the GEL launcher. Sometimes the right page of the desktop disappear without doing anything... Anyone has the same bug? Or maybe someone have a solution?
P.S. Before asking I did a clean flash but the bug is still there... I was also experiencing it with the official nightlies.
Thanks in advance (i wrote in this forum 'cause for some reasons I'm not able to write in the devolopment threads)
I noticed the same thing when i was on CM builds. The extra screen usually just went away. Shouldn't be there anyway unless there is something on it.
You probably misunderstood me... The page that sometimes disappear on my phone is full of widgets and shortcuts, I have to re-add them every time...
I also have the bug you described above but I don't care so much because it's a minor one
Anyway, thanks for the answer

Hello people!
I have not long been using AOKP for very long, but i can say overall i love it, i have a few issues though.
I am aware of course it is a unofficial ROM and to expect it to run perfectly would be ridiculous and i was hoping if anybody had experienced anything similar and had any solutions?...
- My headphone jack has 100% stopped working since installing is ROM, i even reinstalled an old backup of MIUIv4 and it was working fine so it defiantly isn't the hardware.
- Black screen notifications, if i received an IM like whatsapp or even a SMS my led would light up and the screen backlight will turn on but its just a black screen?
- Fail to unlock screen first time around, now this doesn't happen all the time, maybe 30-40% of the time, but ill press the unlock button... the backlight will turn on but again its just a black screen, so i have to re-lock and unlock again and it will 100% work the second time... its kind of annoying.
Other than that the ROM works fine for me, i really don't want to lose the JB OS... is there a stable alternative maybe? or hopefully a simple fix.
By the way is based on their latest build.
Thanks!

thanks for that man... im gonna read a little more into but it seems like the best choice... will defiantly check it out!
UPDATE: ive given the ROM a go and i must say its a lot more stable than i thought it would be when its a "mishmash" of different ROMs put together.
i still have the headphone jack issue thought, i read a few other forums that people are experiencing using ROMs based on CM10... have you not had this issue?
Hi I recently bought a flip cover for my s4 mini and since I'm running cyanogenmod in my phone, I noticed that the flip cover doesn't turn the screen on/off like it's supposed to.. So I'm curious if there's any app that allows to do this on my phone with cm? The cover doesn't have s-view, but at least I expected to lock the phone when closed and keeped on my pocket. I read somewhere that only works with Touchwiz roms but I think it's possible at least make it work to lock screen via administrator device running in the background or something..

There're few apps can emualte that, first one comes to mind on the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hatroid.sview&hl=en
s4 mini s view doesn't work in custom roms (AOSP) !
hatroid it is really buggy in our phone
you 'll see yourself too
the most annoying thing for me is that i can't answer calls by swiping! this makes the whole sview concept useless ...
i tried hatroid and another application emulating s view but found nothing as good as the stock s view software
aosp rom just don't care for the S view thing...
only if a TW based custom rom existed for our 9195...
anyway if you find something usefull please let us know here
I decided to remove the flip because it was really useless, besides it was really uncomfortable while playing and answering calls. I only kept the black cover, it looks really good.

LOL! And why would AOSP care about the S-View from Samsung? If you like the Samsung features so much, keep the stock ROM. People use AOSP for a reason - to keep the manufacture bloat away.

because sview is not bloat !
plain and simple ...
Development state of HallMonitor
The S-View functionality is certainly not a bloat!
But development of HallMonitor seems to have stopped since version 0.4.2 (latest commit of the author "durka" is from 22 Jul 2014). This version doesn't support CM12(.1) (see issue 52 on durka's GitHub page).
The suggested installation of the "MagnetOff" Xposed module is not a very useful workaround since you can't use the hall sensor (magnet sensor) anymore and would have to fall back on the proximity sensor (which is a pain in the a**).
The GitHub user "manusfreedom" has added several features and took development of HallMonitor up to his version 2.0.2 beta (but his last commit is quite old too, from 21 Sep 2014). Has anyone tested manusfreedoms fork on CM12(.1)? Or does anyone know about a recent revival of HallMonitor's development? Would be so awesome to have this for CM12.1 ... :cyclops:
i have the same problem. hallmonitor and MagnetOff works not realy well! to much bugs..
its possible to export the feature from stock kernel? exist a custom rom with stock kernel?

Each of these two versions has a build for the codinap device (with NFC) and the codina device (without NFC).
Which build of this rom is stable and good? No problem with speaking to others after calling them or being called. No glitchiness and no wake up delay. Also which works with which build of monochrome?
Striped
I would post this in the main thread, but as I have less than 10 posts I´m not allowed to.
It´s not important anway, but i was wondering.... wouldn´t "stripped" make more sense than "striped" for your stripped down build?
Thx your right. Stripped would make sense. I will correct that.

Full ROM
Hi poppmensa
Any chance that you could supply your latest version of this ROM also as a FULL (not stripped) File?
Thanks in advance!
Great work @poppmensa. I love 14/10 "Non-p" build, first I consider bugfree. 16/10 "non-p" build soon?
Another question, I've never had notifications of Twitter app with CM, with stock I had. I think is CM rom problem because of that. Am I right? Is known this problem? What causes it?
thanks for everything.
Hi,
I am new to custom ROMS and was wondering what i need to do to upgrade from my current ROM (Rox August Build) to this ROM.
Do i just download it, put in on my SD card and Install it from there? Am I right in assuming that I need to delete the Cache and Dalvik first? Do I also have to do a factory reset or can i avoid that?
Does the camera bug fix refer to the video recording bug? Because that´s something that´s bothering me on rox´s build.
And a general Question about this forum - how are you supposed to get to 10 posts to be allowed to post in the main thread, when posts in the Q&A section don´t even count as posts?
Not sound call in 17/10, I don't hear caller and he doesn't hear me.
I just flashed the 2510 codina version along with the p1 kernel and microgapps. Looks like working OK for now, battery droped drom 50% to 12% during setup (did all suggested wipes so I had to set the device from scratch) within the first hour.

call delay
Hello, i use cm11 for two weeks now and i like it. However i am dealing with an annoying problem. There is a major delay at the screen when i have an incoming call, also when i answer a call there is another delay with my voice at the early seconds and as a result if i speak right after answer the call, the other party will hear nothing of what i am saying. Please can someone help me fix this problem? Otherwise i will have to go back to stock ROM and i don't want that but calls are important to me.

Anyone here that has a LG G4 (Possibly tmo variant, h811) willing to try something for me?
AOSP/Cyanogenmod base is preferred.
Anyway, I'm experiencing a sound issue, which seems to show no errors. It happens only in some games.
All other audio seems fine. I captured a recording of it.. it's like choppy and slo-mo'd
http://lionspaws.net/h811/recording20160216095655.wav
(4MB, slow connection sometimes. Please only download if you have interest in this problem)
Some games that may experience the issue are Adventure capitalist, Star Trek Timelines and some Futurama game. ... I wish to see if others are experiencing the same issue before I submit this issue to Jira.
Logs show nothing out of the ordinary, just errors that also occur with apps that dont experience this issue.
eg: 03-03 13:10:14.574: E/audio_hw_dolby(428): audio_extn_dolby_ds2_set_endpoint: dap_hal_set_hw_info is NULL
Mods, feel free to copy or move this post to the Tmo variant's forum if neccesary.

I have exactly the same problem! And also another user reported that... I wrote a post on cyanogen thread with a logcat. I don t know if someone is looking into it...

The only game I've noticed this in is the Futurama game. I can only imagine it's an issue on the developers' side since it only happens on a few apps.
No it s not a problem on app side. Because the same game (in my case "daddy long legs") sounds well on my xiaomi mi 2 (lollipop). I can t flash stock rom now... Maybe it does not have the issue. Worth to try if someone can...

This problem has been fixed in later CM nightlies.
Lets keep this simple and clean
I am sharing our rom with you. This rom is based on CM and still in alpha stage. The rom will develope with time and get back to what it was in Kitkat times.
I own this device and I am personally running this build aswell, but dont blame me, if something wents wrong.
I came back with our rom, because I love android and you and I also need something to train my programming skills. Who am I ? -> Informatics student working at a telecommunication company from germany. Feel free to hit me up on hangouts to chat.
Like always: Flash at your own riks

RELEASE 2 (newest) https://plus.google.com/+AndreasDanielFried/posts/BTNR38R9dQi
Enjoy
I have just installed release 2 and resorted apps. Will run for a couple of days and report back.
New UI incoming soon :b
Will be interesting yo play around with the new UI when it's ready.
In terms of observations, you're doing great for an alpha build! I have noticed that AudioFX will stop responding after a little while of listening to music on Bluetooth. This doesn't actually stop the music (or even make the music sound different so not a big issue). Secondly I have noticed the same clock issue that was present when installing custom kernels. The date resets itself and than then throws up a WhatsApp error because it knows the phone can't have gone back in time. Its already been solved by the custom kernels dev's so hopefully just a quick pull from github.
Otherwise I would say a very usable build and I will be staying on this as my daily
Requests: I would have several but one hopefully quick one would be to have the ability to hide the Root icon. That option would fit nicely in Settings, Status Bar, Status Bar Icons.
Regards,
Ravi
Will be added
Thanks buddy,
Got a few questions about where this may go?
1) Will you do any work on the kernel or will you leave that sort of stuff to other devs?
2) Any view on OTA's and Delta OTA's so we don't have to do full ROM flashes?
3) would you consider adding the ability to control the media scanner. Frequency of scan, manual scan and stop scan at boot?
4) I have reduced resolution and DPI. As such the boot animation goes out of line. Would you be able to include the coding to properly select resolution (rather than having to go to terminal) and then change Tue boot animation to the correct resolution)?
Fully appreciate that you are currently a team of one person. Some or all of these may not fit with your vision of the ROM so no worries if you don't take them on board.
Regards,
Ravi
