Anyone here that has a LG G4 (Possibly tmo variant, h811) willing to try something for me?
AOSP/Cyanogenmod base is preferred.
Anyway, I'm experiencing a sound issue, which seems to show no errors. It happens only in some games.
All other audio seems fine. I captured a recording of it.. it's like choppy and slo-mo'd
http://lionspaws.net/h811/recording20160216095655.wav
(4MB, slow connection sometimes. Please only download if you have interest in this problem)
Some games that may experience the issue are Adventure capitalist, Star Trek Timelines and some Futurama game. ... I wish to see if others are experiencing the same issue before I submit this issue to Jira.
Logs show nothing out of the ordinary, just errors that also occur with apps that dont experience this issue.
eg: 03-03 13:10:14.574: E/audio_hw_dolby(428): audio_extn_dolby_ds2_set_endpoint: dap_hal_set_hw_info is NULL
Mods, feel free to copy or move this post to the Tmo variant's forum if neccesary.

I have exactly the same problem! And also another user reported that... I wrote a post on cyanogen thread with a logcat. I don t know if someone is looking into it...
Inviato dal mio LG-H815 utilizzando Tapatalk
The only game I've noticed this in is the Futurama game. I can only imagine it's an issue on the developers' side since it only happens on a few apps.
No it s not a problem on app side. Because the same game (in my case "daddy long legs") sounds well on my xiaomi mi 2 (lollipop). I can t flash stock rom now... Maybe it does not have the issue. Worth to try if someone can...

This problem has been fixed in later CM nightlies.

Hi there,
Ever since i've updated my Instagram, it won't let me upload any pictures at all and either gets my phone stuck or crashes every time. Want to know if any other P930 CM9 users are facing this issue or if there is any other fix around it?
Same here. Using the app for just browsing other photos seems to work but whenever I try to upload; it begins to stall and eventually crash. I tried cheating it by not using the filters and immediately uploading it but then it either crashes or takes forever to process and the photo ends up black or this strange black/matrix-y look.
I love the this RC, it's blazing fast compared to my stock gingerbread. With little to no problems since I've been testing it. Anyone know a work-around? Keep it up and thanks for the hard work.
p.s I'm using the P930 At&t Nitro HD.
That's exactly the same issue I have. From what I've read it might be an OpenGL issue... but I'm not going to pretend like I know what that means. Besides that, this RC is running so smoothly. Its awesome. Guess we'll just have to wait.

Neither the ICS leak nor CM9 will run the editing pane of Instagram. I've e-mailed the App developers, they said they will not touch an unofficial build. I've been through multiple updates for Instagram, none worked any better.
For what it's worth, it works in CM10 build 07/26 for me. Maybe you guys would like to update

I actually might try that, do you have any major problems using CM10? My only problems with CM9 is instagram and random speaker volume changes. (which can be deal breakers)
Well there are still some bugs in CM10 and a bunch of features haven't been forward-ported yet, but it's definitely coming along nicely. One bigger bug it has right now is video seems to intakill the OS and reboot after a few seconds.
Well, that was fast lol. Ricardo just put an update out that should fix video crashing. Man, that guy is awesome.
instagram doesn't work anymore with the latest nightly released 24-08-12.
Someone just passed to me an a100, it seems nice and all, rooted and unlocked it, now on reaper relix.
My problem is i am experiencing touch breaks, if i were to swap between pages i am experiencing some weird problem.
I downloaded a drawing app to test it, and if i try to draw a line without lifting my finger i notice that the line breaks.
Any workaround?

Unfortunately this is an issue with the A100, some have the issue others don't(mine does). It seems to be a grounding issue or that is what the general consensus is.
No way to really fix it, if you have a cover taking it off may help, and trying different ways of holding it may help as well.
Yeah. Mine has it too. Using with no case and holding it with 2 hands makes it better. Also using it while plugged in stops it too. Those are the only workarounds I know of.
thanks this made it clear, was think i need to overclock it, but seems more like a manufacturing issue.
i have maxed out my thanks, will thank both of you in the morning.
Guys try cm10 b2. I no longer have those annoying breaks when scrolling. I did a clean install.

Hi all
I flashed the official CM11 M2 snapshot with PlayfulGod gapps and all seems to work quite well expect the GEL launcher. Sometimes the right page of the desktop disappear without doing anything... Anyone has the same bug? Or maybe someone have a solution?
P.S. Before asking I did a clean flash but the bug is still there... I was also experiencing it with the official nightlies.
Thanks in advance (i wrote in this forum 'cause for some reasons I'm not able to write in the devolopment threads)
I noticed the same thing when i was on CM builds. The extra screen usually just went away. Shouldn't be there anyway unless there is something on it.
You probably misunderstood me... The page that sometimes disappear on my phone is full of widgets and shortcuts, I have to re-add them every time...
I also have the bug you described above but I don't care so much because it's a minor one
Anyway, thanks for the answer

I had a Note 8 for a short time which had this issue but ive noticed it on my gpad 8.3 v500 when its in landscape.
The issue is when im scrolling the screen one side lags behind the other if you do it quickly enough...so if i do it Up and down it gives a wobble effect. Noticable in netflix too.
Has anyone had this? Im hoping its a jellybean issue as i said my note 8 was the same.
Not a deal breaker but it does bug me.

Have you installed any background-running apps that may cause this problem? I don't know what can cause screen stuttering like you have. Have you thought about installing CM? It works great and is 1000 times faster than stock

Yes i have thought about it......but id need an idiots guide as ive never done that before...
Also im sure ive read 4.4 ota is coming soon , so i was going to hang on for it....
Is there a guide out of interest?
There are only guides for root and recovery, CM is only wiping and flashing. I will post links when I get home (although I'm pretty sure you can find them yourself in the All things guide thread, I recommend TWRP)
The OTA 4.4 update is very far away, march at least (I have my sources)

No problem......yes i can research.....thanks for replying
Try enabling the developer options (you dont need root and a howto can be found on google) and turn off all the transitions and see if your lag goes away.
Just giving this a bump
LBJM i hadnt seen your reply , so i will give it a try when i get home..
I flashed CM11 onto my Gpad but i didnt like it ( personal preference) ive now got the latest Mahdi Rom which is very much like the Nexus5 that i was wanting.
but still i get this lag in Lanscape mode when im scrolling up and down....one side lags to give a wobble effect.

In all apps or only in some? I see a stutter in certain apps that do not cache things far enough ahead (i.e. twitter) when I have the client configured to show the twitpics. However once I know everything is loaded I can scroll up and down without any stuttering problem. Some browsers also have this problem since they also only seem to load in memory the stuff that is rendered on the screen...
Based on what you describe I'm not certain that your wobble and my stutter are the same thing though...
Bump
Ive just gone back to Stock LG for the KitKat update and i still get the scrolling wobble effect in landscape.
Its not a deal breaker but it just bugs me....im suprised no one else has seen this.

this is what i mean

bump......no one else noticed this?
When placing or receiving a voice call (LOS 14.1, Samsung Galaxy S6, current build) the other party hears their own voice echo back in approximately 1.5 to 2 seconds. It depends on what is being used on the S6 to make the call. If the built-in microphone and speakers are used, the echo is very problematic. It is less noticable with a Bluetooth headset, and it is completely not there if one uses a wired headset (in this case a pair of Samsung wired earplugs). With the stock ROM, this does not occur. Perhaps there is a set of build.prop entries or other yet-to-be-documented settings to address the noise cancellation issue ? An otherwise rather excellent ROM, it would be a shame to not be able to use it if it required earplugs for voice calling. An extensive search through the other Galaxy S6 forum postings and the forum specific to the ROM reveals nothing of particular value, but maybe something was overlooked. Suggestions, anyone?

I don't have this device but, your best bet is to post this question within the following Official LineageOS thread that's specific to your device and variants.

Thanks again for the interesting and useful suggestion(s). I thought I had exhausted the possible S6 support locations on XDA, so it a always a pleasant surprise to find even more. Unfortunately, no news was to be found there, either. I suspect that some "out of the box thinking" might be required to address this one, which is why I have floated this inquiry beyond what might be thought of as the usual places. Lots of other device owners (e.g. One Plus, etc..) seem to have reported echo problems on voice calls using LOS, with a variety of suggestions about how to address the problem. I can't believe that everyone uses headphones (which do make the problem go away) for all of their voice calling, so somewhere there is an answer. What I have found most peculiar is that MY device has no echo issues. It is the device on the other end of the connection that is exhibiting the echo, regardless of who makes the call. As the saying goes: "curiouser and curiouser..."

Same here. I still wondering what causing the problem on my Note 5 (RR&Lineage). Have you found any solution other than using a wired headset to receive and make call?
I'm still thinking about this answer from https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/echo-problem-callers-phone-t3550550: "It seems to me that your mic is picking up the sound that your speaker is emitting and then feeding back to their phone. If you are on stock, try turning the in call volume down so that your speaker isn't so loud."
And I'll try to reduce the in-call volume and will report it later.
Echo
Same here with Samsung A15 and Lineage 16 custom ROM
Caller hear a strange echo
I tried change in build prop the value setting of fluence.speaker = false with no succes
Anyone found a solution yet?

So evidently this is a source problem propagated all over the all kind of ROM based on this project

Same thing for me on my SM-G920F using 15.1.2019022-UNOFFICIAL-zerofltexx.
Call if fine for me, but other person can hear themselves with a couple of seconds delay. Doesnt matter who starts the call or what method for me. Did the same using bluetooth setup in car.

Exactly my thoughts, because in have 3 different devices on Lineage 15.1 and 16 that all exhibit this behavior.
Seems like it would be an easy and IMPORTANT fix to the base/source. Just correcting the issue somewhere in the base code should correct it for everyone...

Or downgrade to 15.1
Possible solution? Confirmation needed
Hello, I'm new as a poster here.
I had the problem with my Galaxy S4 VE (jfvelte). I had ResurrectionRemix (Marshmallow) for years and found LineageOS 16 for my device, so I installed it successfully and all seemed to be better, Camera is much more stable, better battery drain. After two days I noticed the problem with the echo for caller on two different devices (Modem I9515XXU1BPK4).
I didn't find any solution, only an open issue on GitHUB.
I downgraded to 15.1, same Problem.
I downgraded once more to 14.1. Problem fixed. All fine, but I didn't want to stay with this old sticky nougat stuff .
From the audio fix patch from sombree i knew that the problem is somewhere into the two files "audio_platform_info.xml" and "mixer_path.xml", but his fix is for 14.1, and not for 16.
So I tried to reinstall 16, and replaced the two files with the ones from 14.1 (the path have been modified from /system/etc to /system/vendor/etc).
NOW I HAVE 16 WITH NO ECHO PROBLEM. Other sound devices seem to work (Tested Speaker, Bluetooth and headphones/headset).
Being a Windows developer and no Android/Linux expert, I have no real idea from what I've done, so I wanted someone (maybe a real expert) to tell me:
Is my solution working (seems to be so)?
Why didn't someone had the Idea before?
Why have they (LineageOS devs) broken it?
Maybe I could help, and please fix it directly in ROM.
I've build a flashable patch with the "ZIPme" app. Should I upload it?
