So, running Wicked V4 since it came out. Zero issues has been fine. Now, after having flashed CM, Wifi calling keeps breaking. I reflashed V4 last night, wifi calling working fine. Set everything up, still working fine. Wake up this morning, working fine. Get home from work, does not work at all.
It says I am not connected to a wifi network, but I am connected too my home network. Any ideas?

Tried that. Same issue. Says I am not connected to wifi. Just makes no sense.
Does CM screw stuff up on this phone requiring a full restore to fix or is there a way to do a complete restore with the dialer? I know when I had the GS3 for verizon CM would absolutely screw stuff up if you flashed it. You could fix it by typing a reset code into the dialer. Didn't see one though for the Note 3.

yes, last night wiped system/data/cache/dalvik cache. Flashed rom, set up. Restored apps via mybackup pro, setup wanam module. Woke up this morning to wifi calling still working fine no issues.
Got home from work and wifi calling doesn't work. I reinstalled everything that way, because the backup I restored magically had wifi calling broken after wiping everything from a flash of CM.

Does t-mobile control settings from there side that CM messes with? I am new to tmobile. Spent years with verizon. Wifi calling is something we never had.

I didn't restore that. I know better than to do that. This is really frustrating. Just going to factory reset, see what happens, if no dice, I'll full restore tomorrow back to stock and reroot and see what happens.
unless anyone else has any other ideas.
There is a bug in Wanam that overwrites system/csc/feature.xml - causing WIFI calling to break.
Download the update to Wanam (2.6.1?)
Then go to file manager system/csc/feature.xml and you should see a feature.xml.bak - replace feature.xml with feature.xml.bak, then apply your Wanam mods.

I had the "wifi" problem this morning. The error that I would get was something like my wifi signal was unstable and was switching over to data mode. My fix was simple. I power cycled my router and modem and BAM my note 3 connected immidiatelty to my network. I hope this helps anyone that is having this issue.

I have the Sprint Galaxy S3 stock rooted and trying to get wifi tether to work on it. It was working just fine on my htc evo 4g running fresh evo. Within 10 seconds of connecting, it says "what the hell! Your phone takes back control over the wifi interface. Immediate tethering shutdown now". I tried installing SuperSU and that didn't help too much. I do still have the other super user app installed, but I think I disabled it when I started SuperSU. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Couple Things to try:
1: Turn OFF Sprint's Connection Optimizier
2. Make Sure "Keep Wi-Fi On During sleep" is set to "Always"

My issue is:
Sprint S3 Stock Rooted. via Team Epic Method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1743780
4.1.2 (MB1)
Wifi Tether via TrevE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1988735
With "WiFi-driver reload" Checked I get the following results:
I can connect both encrypted or open. But when waking the screen from sleep I get the TOAST WTH message and Tethering stops.
After stopping and ending a Tether session I can NOT re-engage WiFi mode unless Reboot.
With "WiFi-driver reload 2" Checked
Tethering Starts but not visible to clients. So no one can connect.
After stopping and ending a Tether session WiFi can be resumed without reboot.
Not sure what else I can provide to help but if there is more I can let me know.
Thanks!
You Sprint Connection Optimizer needs to be Off. In Jelly Beans stock/custom roms it will turn On even if you set it to Off, you must freeze it with Titanium Backup.
About the TrevE mod, use the */22 version(thats how I fix it).
And most important Wi-Fi can't be turned on while using Wi-Fi Tether.

THAT WORKED!!!! I have been searching EVERYWHERE for the answer...and that seemed to work! Thank you very much!! (And now that I think about it....it makes sense that Sprint does that.)
Well the Sprint Connection Optimizer really is "don't use your unlimited data".
It just drain your battery looking for an available Wi-Fi.

Do you have a link to that exact version that works on the galaxy s3? I am still having troubles. Sorry. You are talking about the "android wifi tether", right? Ugh! So where do I begin.. First of all I am running the MOAR most updated version in the OP. Have been for a while. Haven't been able to update PRL/Profile in I don't how long. So I like to here and there to make sure all is well. Anyway today I started messing with it and I used some secret code I found in the MOAR thread for hands free activation. Well, that went south since I am unable to update PRL/Profile. Then I called Sprint and she got the hands free activation off. I was still unable to update PRL/Profile after that. I went ahead and downloaded the latest MOAR and wiped EVERYTHING!! Then flashed the MOAR. I am not sure exactly when the 4G/3G problems started to happen. I am thinking before I flashed the ROM again. But anyway in a nutshell I I can not still update PRL/Profile. Gives me internal error and now I have no 4G/3G. Sprint wanted me to call them on another phone and I assume to deactivate my phone and reactivate it or something idk. I remember one time my sister had this issue and I was in the phone 5 minutes and it was back. IDK why I am having such a issue.
I had the same issue on my first flasb. Forcing hands-free activation fixed it
##72786# in the dialer
EDIT: Make sure you're connected to wifi when you do it.

Right. That did fix it although after I still was unable to update PRL/Profile. But right now I am having an issue with no 3G/4G. Sprint said it could be a hardware issue with my antenna which I find hard to believe. I am downloading another ROM now and see if that works any better. Not sure what else to do. I don't have 50$ and I am not trying to pay for it. I find it hard to believe that my antenna is just not working. Although I was on the phone with her for 50 minutes and it seemed like we tried everything I just don't want to give up.

Is odin back to stock difficult? I would think it would be easy since to root is fairly simple. I am going to keep downloading this ROM. Then go back to stock and see if that works.
EDIT: So on my second call to Sprint today this guy said I need Sprint Zone and I need to activate my phone. Having our phones rooted I did not have this app. Thankfully I seen it posted so I put it in my DB and installed it and it installed but the app was no where to be found. I even flashed the app pack and installed it same issue. Then I called Sprint two more times just to come to the conclusion that my phone antenna could be defected. Which would cost me 50$. Anyway, I thought it was something else I could do. Sitting here downloading a ROM on my phone and on my laptop going to thread to thread. Hangout convo to hangout convo I see the status of the download. Well what do you know Sprint Zone is updating. So I updated it and it opened. Said my phone was not activated. So I activated it, phone restarted and I have 4G LTE and I went to the browser and it works. Finally caught a break. Thanks guys!! @edfunkycold @CNexus
Hey guys. I noticed a lot of people, including myself, have been getting the dreaded process com.android.phone force close message upon booting up new ROMs.
This only happens when trying to connect to data. Turn it off, and the force closes stop. Well, I believe I've found a workaround using an APN file I've found floating around on the Carbon ROM thread!
Upon booting, just keep clicking the OK message to skip past the FC errors and the ROM setup process, and then disable your data as soon as you can. Connect to wifi, go to the Play store and install your favorite root browser. Download the linked APN file at the bottom of this post to your phone, and open up your root browser. Copy the APN file you downloaded, then go to system/etc, delete the stock APN file and replace it with the new one. Set permissions to rw-r-r, reboot into recovery, and do a factory data reset. Boot back into ROM and voila, you should be good!
Note that this may or may not fix your data problems, as every phone is different and some of you are on different carriers. This method has been working for me ever since I started doing it a couple of days ago, and almost every new ROM I've installed recently have given me the FC error. That is no more with this new APN, and I even get a better data connection than before. Hope this helps you all!

*****EDIT*****
This method has also fixed my data problems on the new KitKat ROMs as well. Before, I wouldn't even get data on the new KK ROMs, and if I did, 3G would go away and never come back when switching between wifi and data. Replaced the APN, and my data came back stable, even when switching to wifi.

Okay, I've been seeing this complaint around the forums recently, so I'll say this.
For as long as I've ever owned a smartphone, 3G/4G ALWAYS turned off for me whenever I was in a phone call, but I could still browse the internet and stuff. Maybe now things are different with this phone/these ROMs, and data is actually blocked when in a call, I don't know. It's not an issue to me, though, because I really don't use data while in a call. So hopefully this issue can get cracked down further for you guys who do.

I can confirm that no matter what ROM I've been on, when I made or received a call, my 4G/3G symbol would disappear, but if I was on 4G I could still access the internet. Not with 3G of course. I'll need to get to a 4G area and test this.

For CM10.2 it works fine. For stock it is fine it just seems to be this KitKat that is a GSM build that is being worked over a bit for CDMA. That is where the problem lies.

I wonder if this has to do with our builds coming from the nexus 5, since it is a tri-band LTE device. It does not have the capability to be connected to LTE and CDMA at the same time. Are there any radio files we are grabbing from the nexus 5 that might be causing this behavior to occur?
Check out this article, it talks about the inability of the tri band devices to be connected to LTE while using voice/text:

This did not work for me on the AOSP 4.4 ROM either. I have tried several times and still get force closes. I am running fine on CM10.2 though.
Does this fix the issue with switching between 4G to 3G? While on the Omni rom, if I'm connected to 4G and it loses signal, it doesn't connect to 3G. Or, if I want to turn of 4G and only use 3G, it never connects.
For some reason, when I put it, the system just disregards it. It says successfully deleted and pasted too. When I delete the old one and paste the new one it says "Do you want to overwrite?" even though the old one is gone. Anybody got anything?

So the other day I updated to NE6 firmware, did a full stock wipe and started fresh. A few days later I decided to install Xposed and Xprivacy to take control of some rampant app permissions. At some time today (1 to 2 days later i think) my phone stopped receiving incoming calls. I had to factory reset because I have to have a working phone, so I can't test and see what messed it up. Just wondering if anyone has encountered this.

1> How did you upgrade to NE6.
2> what xposed mods did you use.
after a day or 2 you might be able to grind it out to the last setting.
3> Just for laughs and giggles, check your apn to make sure it's set right. I know. DUH you've already done that. but i have to put that in there.

1) Upgraded with Odin via Windows in Parallels (never had a single problem with this and have done it for several years)
2) Was using Xprivacy to prevent Facebook from taking tons of information it doesn't need. I had recently downloaded Wanam, but hadn't activated it.
I talked with t-mobile and they said there is a WiFi calling issue.. that of u use WiFi calling and don't turn it off before u leave the WiFi your are connected to. That your calls will not go to the phone.. unless u connect back to WiFi and turn off

Wow, thanks for the info. I remember when WiFi calling came out, it was very reliable. Seems to be getting worse.
Had same issue went to store where the tech told me simple card was fried and gave me a new card worked instantly
So I found a temp solution on reddit for those of us who need tethering/hotspot working. So far it's worked every time and I am now posting from my hotspot connection on Marshmallow.
Steps are pretty easy, but really annoying since it requires a phone restart every time.
1. Restart phone
2. As soon as it comes up, unlock it and go to Settings > hotspot and tethering
3. Enable your hotspot
4. Profit!
If you do it fast enough it should enable it without the subscriber error. Not exactly sure how fast you need to do it once you restart but I've done it successfully every time even with a lock screen. You can also add a shortcut to the settings if you use a launcher like nova. Enjoy
There is a background process continuously resetting the global setting for provisionong requirement. I'm fixing that in my flash, should have it tonight.

I can't believe this works. Sweet!
Works on s7
Worked on sprint s7
Confirmed working, delay time isn't short( didn't count but i have a long password and didn't rush)
Thanks, I was holding off on updating till a method came out for nonrooted users. Tested and works on my s6.
Are the apns saved on the sim card or on the device?
If its saved on the sim card, cant we edit the apn in a different phone and then put the sim back in the phone?

I did it and it was working, but then it gave me the error message. Is there another way to enable the APN settings since at this point they are disable? Thanks

You need root as the mod adds boot support to handle things. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65921214&postcount=20

Does MM still have the Activate Device option in Settings? If so, does it still allow access to the PST Menu?

Working great this way, Hotspots stays on till I turn it off, usually
On stock it eventually throws permission error...roughly 30 seconds after enabled for me.
I just tried the reboot trick last night. It works, I had my iPad connected to my S6's Hotspot.
History, had the MSL code working in Lollipop since August of 2015. With every update, it broke the Hotspot. I had to turn on dun in APN settings after each update. With the Marshmallow update, the APN settings are not seen in the "edit" settings view.
Will test further, I can live with the slight inconvenience for now. It would be great to have a total fix on this unrooted device.
thanks!
The reboot and swipe immediately to turn on hotspot doesn't work after 20 seconds. It'll tell me I'm not subscribed to the hotspot service. I've already edited the APNs before the MM update and had it working fine. I believe it's after updating the profile and PRL that eventually breaks it completely. Now it looks like I'll have to root to make it work like before or be tied down with USB tethering.

Yes, that's correct.
Same problem here, after MM update this morning. No more APN SETTINGS to edit. Trying USB tethering but nothing.
The restart method works fine but only if I remove password for my Hotspot.

I take it back about getting subscription error message. I reread the OP comments about setting up hotspot quickly after rebooting. This time I did it quickly step by step to turn hotspot on and so far it's working for several minutes. Don't wait a few seconds after swiping or take your time getting to the Hotspot and Tethering menu. Do everything from rebooting to turning on hotspot quickly and it may work for you guys.
