Hi guys..
What I most love on android devices is all the customizations.. So, I ran to change the system sounds on our Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (P601)..
I found the original system ui ogg sounds on "/system/media/audio/ui"... I successfully changed the PowerOn.ogg - OK
Charger_Connection.ogg - OK
Lock.ogg - OK
Pen_att and det_noti - ok
but when I change the Unlock.ogg, the sound remains the same...
Reading on my researches, Someone tells that the sound can be inside an APK, probably on the Framework-res.apk
Can someone confirm that? Or can tell me another way?
Thanks...
Anyone?

This is a simple boot animation from the stock Galaxy S II startup for those who would prefer something other than a simple Samsung logo. I just changed it to show III. I have no way to test it since I don't have a custom kernel that supports bootanimation.zip files. The framerate has been increased so it should be liquid smooth as it is on the S II. This is from an animation I did to smooth out the S II startup so it may not look right on the S III because of the different resolution, but hopefully somebody with a custom kernel can test it.
I also added the startup sound from the S II if you would like to change it.
Beautiful
Loading and installation

It goes in /system/media/audio/ui
It may need to be converted to an .ogg file because that is what the stock sound is. Not sure if it will try to play a .wav.
Poweroff.wav as a .wav not an .ogg goes here too by the way if you want a shutdown noise.
I took the Samsung logo sound and made it my shutdown sound if anyone wants it. I ripped it off of the video that came with the phone called Wonders of Nature.
The animation zip file goes in /system/media but again this only works if you have a custom kernel that supports boot animation files.
PowerOn.ogg PowerOff.wav
Thank you for STOCK - original PowerOn.ogg PowerOff.wav. I put thet on my rooted i9300 device, and work perfect.
Thx ! :good:
nice thank you
Where do i put the bootanimation zip? Also i have converted and replaced power on. Do i just place the poweroff in the Media/Audio/UI area without converting it or do i convert and put it in?

Just flashed in Jedi Master, and am a little bored of the usual system sounds. I'm curious as to how to make them, so I can be ridiculous and theme the sounds to Star Wars.

Hello OP. First let me thank you for your help.
Now, let me show my case:
I am on Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 and flashed this animation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193456
And it looks great, the animation is there, but the sound is not.
I have tried System/etc and System/Media/Audio/Ui to put the .ogg file in. To no avail.
Provided you know how to port animations, I wonder if you would know where tu put the sound file in my ROM, (Stable Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 with its original kernel). Or what to enable in my system (of course my sound is enabled, the animation even runs the lowbattery.ogg file when starting-up with less than 10%).
Thank a bunch in advance!.

Hi try changing the extension to .mp3
Hi,
Did try with Cyanogenmod 4.1.3 and now on 4.2 and it wont work no matter if I set the file in .wav, .mp3, or .ogg format. In either of those folders.
I really do not understand why it wont play the sound.
Please help me, bro.

Yes , you can change the sounds. Make sure you have .ogg files.
Go to /system/media/audio/ui
In that you will see lists of sound files which are used most of the time.
The sound you are searching for keypress sounds.
There are totally 5.But you need to change only 3.
You need to change these 3.
keypressDelete keypressSpacebar keypressStandard.
And replace the files that you want.
Hope you understood , if not ask here.... will help
Yes dude is working...thanks a lot
