I got myself in a deep hole - installed latest omni 4.4 and have no access to external sdcard. rebooted, wiped, proceeded to install cm11 only to find it out it's a corrupt file. Installation aborted
Now I don't have access to external
Only CWM is bootable
How do I access internal card to put another rom .zip??
I tried SDK android but running as administrator briefly blinks cmd screen and the whole thing disappears. I'm on win8.
Someone please help!

for some reason I can't get into download mode. No matter which buttons (vol up or down, power, home button) it always boots to CWM.
I wonder if I can push twrp as a .zip file through ADB - tried this on win8 - no go - but will use win7 tonight. At least it will give me access to external card I'm home free.

Try to make a wipe factory reset, wipe data cache and wide dalvik cache. And reinstall the bootloader. Maybe i'll works.
Pushed PhilZ.zip recovery thru 15 sec ADB installer, installed the zip, reboot - it's all good. PhilZ rocks. CWM sucks.

On the sticky thread there is a link for cwm thread, however I'm not quite sure which filesystem to choose, I'm going to install through recovery, seems safer for me. I want to install cwm for 2 purposes, first I'm planning to backup my stock rom so that I can always flash it back if I need my warranty and second I'm planning to flash cm9 to my phone. I'm not quite sure what is the diffrence between rfs and ext4 is Currently I'm on 2.2.1 stock rom.
Actually I found the proper version of CWM to install here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1414173
But I can't apply it, when I enter recovery mode the options I have are:
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe chace parition
Pheraps I should rename the zip file I downloaded to update.zip? I can't select any other zip from the sd card and if I press "apply sdcard:update.zip" it searches for update.zip and fails to find it.

First you have to root and format to ext4, before installing CWM.
Download mode, remove battery, insert battery, press power, home, volume down, at the same time.

After installing CWM, stock recovery sends you to CWM, so I decided to do a backup, then rebooted, but I couldn't get back to CWM again. Is there a different button combination to get to CWM? Or is it there was any problem at installing CWM with the boot stuff in the stock boot.img?

I am sure this means stock recovery rewrites recovery everytime I reboot to recovery. CWM installs, but it seems the phone overwrites stock.
It's the only explanation.
have the same problem, can't do anything.
it seems like there's no way to have a definete version of CWR on s6802....
CWM recovery is not there after reboot.
While installation, CWM is getting installed and open successfully. But after a reboot again switches to default recovery.
do these processes deal with unlocking bootloader?
I m a newbie here, sorry if this is a silly question.
Works amazing, thanks a lot for this guide, mate!
I've rooted and installed CWM today on my friend's S6802 with XXMC1 baseband ver. upon this guide. All went perfectly well.
Even after installing CWM, reboot to recovery mode brought me into stock recovery, but no problem about that- I've choosen again "update zip" function to reinstall CWM and it goes perfectly well.
Hi guys
I am running Cyanogenmod 10.2.1 on a Galaxy Nexus GSM. I installed that last year with the easy to use installer.
2 days ago I clicked update on that M3 Snapshot. Since then, the phone is not booting anymore and hanging on the blue loading screen with the cyanogenmod face and the circle around it.
I can boot to Odin and Clockworkmod Recovery.
I installed the Android SDK and the USB adb drivers and it shows the device under "devices" without trouble but not as a storage device so i cant pull data via the windows explorer. I am on Windows 7 Ultimate.
When in CWM Recovery and trying adb pull it says device not authorized. Unfortunetly i switched off usb debugging right before i installed that update.
My question>
I have to save the photos from the internal sd card before i can just wipe everything and reset it to factory setting. How can i do that?
Any chance to get around the "device unauthorized" msg ? Via adb devices i can see the device in the list.
I searched around a lot and kind of out of options now :/
if it is any help. i was just able to flash the clockworkmod to 6.0.4.7 via heimdall in odin mode but i still cannot read data from the phone..
if its possible to write on the phone it should be possible to read from it?

Flashed Philz touch CWM. Flashed BAM ROM. IT ran fine for a day and a half. Flashed the custom kernel, and immediately started getting recovery bootloops. no need for the computer to see the phone storage. you can put the aroma file manager either in your sdcard or usb storage, both should be readable when you use CWM to open aroma.

why should your computer need to recognize your phone?
you can take out your microsd card & insert it into the memory card reader & transfer the aroma file thru the reader by using your PC or put the aroma file manager thru your usb / pendrive & then use usb otg & CWM will automatically mount the usb storage.

What are my options ?

You can use sideload from twrp. Or you can put the zip you want to flash in a usb and flash it via otg.

I made a very noob mistake today. I was going to factory reset my Oneplus 3 in TWRP (recovery) and flash back to the stock rom but I accidentally checked off everything to be erased... which erased my current operating system, along with the stock rom I was going to install :crying:
Now im stuck with no OS, phone won't boot, can only get into recovery etc etc
I tried connecting it to the computer and clicking MOUNT in recovery, my PC detects it, but when I try to drag and drop the stock rom it just hangs there and the file transfer progress bar doesnt move.

Put the OOS you want to install on a flash memory and use it as OTG from TWRP
As mentioned above, sideload is the easiest way.
Simply follow the steps here:
https://twrp.me/faq/ADBSideload.html
You can transfer data from a pc in twrp so you have loads of options
Push it with ADB
Ex- "adb push (input_file_name) /sdcard/(output_file_name)"
I will try adb sideloading, i had tried that method a while back for installing a rom and had issues, i have windows 10.

Try reflashing twrp from fastboot
I had the same problem when I was trying to upgrade to OOS 4.0. The phone was stuck at bootscreen. I powered it off by holding power button for 10 seconds. I turned it on again and booted in recovery mode. Then I connected my OP3 to PC and I was able to copy the .zip file into the TWRP folder. In recovery mode I installed the latest firmware from the .zip file.
Maybe I should mention that the OS I'm using is Arch Linux. My PC instantly recognized my phone.
