i mean really hot

Go to Developer options - Background process limit - No background processes.
Some applications may quit unexpectedly doing this process! In my case everything is ok!

Its obvious that when you charge your phone and use it at the same time, battery is being forced to work, so thats why it gets HOT, and you could probably damage your battery if you still charge it that way.
just plug the charger and dpnt use it till its done charging.

My ZL will run very hot to the touch when running intense 3D games. I've always figured it's normal.

[Q] GS2 Constantly Hot?

The phone is on idle and not charging with nothing running on the background and it gets really hot for some reason. I exchanged my battery thinking it was the batter overheating but it still gives me the same problem. Any thoughts on what might be causing the issue? The phone is not rooted btw.
Exchange the phone. I had 7 of these and none got hot. The one I use now is stock but rooted and stays cool as the the fonz.

I don't think its an hardware issue that's causing your phone to overheat since this phone isn't known for having overheating issues. You either downloaded an app that is causing this issue or you need to either reboot your phone or do a full wipe.

i run my at 1.8 Ghz and it's not hot, it might get warm after constant use like 30 min, but it's no where near hot
i consider hot when the temp reads 50c +

OverHeating Issue

I left my phone on the charger all night and when I woke up it was fully charged, but really.. really, hot. I noticed I had one notification which was a text and I know the phone stopped charging, and that shouldn't be the issue. After unplugged it, reset it, and answered the text It cooled down. I had a text just a couple of minutes ago and waited a while to answer it and noticed my phone was getting slightly warmer. Since I responded Its now at a regular temperature. Is it possible my phones overheating from pending notifications? I know that question sounds dumb but this is really bugging me out. Anyone have any advice?
I running ERA Legendary Rom with GetuSum's EI22 ICS theme 2.1 if anyone wanted to know.
Did you leave any apps on plus when you charge your phone Being "ON" it heats up more than if Off

I usually power it off.. because it also charges faster. I had no apps running and even turned off the data connection. I DID however try to install the gta San Andreas app from an "undisclosed" website.. (ehmm 4shart) which was a bad idea since of course it didn't work.. I really hope im not gonna have to end up re-installing this rom and theme, since i just installed it 3 days ago.
what are a couple things that would cause over heating? maybe that can help out.. thanks
If your phone is in use while on the charger... the display being really high the normal things.... that cause overheating like leaveing it clocked at 1500mhz

True, I think my display was on, and it usually is pretty bright. I just charged it again this time while powered off and there was no overheating (woohoo!) I've had this epic for about a year and a half now so I take care of it likes it's child haha...
I appreciate the advice
I noticed my phone got hot when charging (phone is on when I charge) with the EI22 ROMs I used.
I recently installed the stock EL30, rooted it, and installed the Shadow kernel for EL30. Now it always stays cool. Coincidence? Maybe, but I'm happy it's always cool now.
there's possibily charging overnight will make your battery broke inside (see explanation for li ion battery on google)so it easily become overheated when used normally

[Q] xperia play heating problem

hi guys,
I have a weird problem with my Xperia Play, when I put the battery it gets very hot even when the phone is off.
Anyone got this problem before?
No mine gets hot if I teather and charge at the same time. What temperatures does it get to the battery can stand temperatures up to 60'c before damaging the battery

actually the heat doesn't come from the battery but from the motherboard, and it gets very hot even when the phone is shutdown.
I sure that it's a hardware problem but not sure how to fix it.
Do you think that if I reflow it with a hot air gun, it fixes the problem?
if your phone is still under warnty i would get it fixed by sony erricson before you go opening it up. you dont wont to end up with a paper weight
Battery heat can be dangerous and you should remove the battery until you fix it.
I had similar problem, mine heats when i turn it on and drain battery fast (electric circuit problem).. i sent it to repair center and i advise you to do the same.
so, ... anyone got it any idea what's wrong with the phone .. WHY IS IT GETTING HOT, even though it is switched off..
I've never heard of a device getting hot when it's not even on. While charging, playing games for a while, or while overclocked, yes. While it's off, no.
Sounds like some sort of strange hardware issue to me. Time to send it in for warranty.

Heating problems

I'm having heating problems when I'm hardly using the phone, and it was happening on stock and carbon. When the phone heats up it stops charging.

[Q] Overheating and Lag Issues

Hi,
I have the G Pad GPE and was wondering if anyone else is having problems with the back of the unit getting very hot (especially the top) and laggy while playing games (Asphalt 8 in my case)? At times it also gets very hot while charging and when it does so it stops charging. I'd like to see if anyone else is having these issues before I contact Google for a replacement.
Thanks

If you charge it with the original charger, on stock rom, with the stock kern, and it "stops charging" you should just get it replaced, regardless of others having the same issue or not.

Thanks. In general it charges slowly which I see is pretty common. When it overheats (~40°C) during charging it basically stops or charges extremely slowly. It doesn't happen all the time though. When it doesn't overheat it charges ~25% per hour. Regardless of the overheating, is that charge speed normal using the stock charger and cable?
BTW I am stock everything right now. Waiting to mess around with it until I decide to replace it or not.
I have the same problem but myne is not GPE. It is very hot! and laggy i had replaced once but the new unit also has the issue. I dont know how to fix it.
My no longer lags any more apart from the occasional HIC up when watching long 1080p movies
