[Q] List of Sense 5 compatible kernels? - HTC One X

Hey guys i'm wondering what kernel is compatible with ARHD 31.3 (sense 5)
beside Alex V and neocortex..
i dont need S2W or CPU/GPU UC/UV that much really..
so a near-stock like kernel would do just fine
actually, the problem is the current ARHD 31.3 has severe issues that's bugging me, that is:
-the camera takes a very long time to start up (about 4-5 seconds)
-the "custom" icons keep resetting after reboot even after i arranged and rearranged them
-sometimes when i press the power button it turns on again after 2 seconds
-S2W is buggy and caused alt-tab on apps upon turning off the screen
so i guess this is the kernel's fault? provided that i already have HBOOT version 1.36 at CID: HTC_044 (asia's)
or i need to upgrade HBOOT? because my firmware version is fully upgraded already (3.14.707.24) when i check ARHD HOX firmware's list
my hypothesis is this is the kernel's problem...
anyway thank's for any assistance

Lyapota has the only available on top of the ones you mentioned already. and afaik the rom comes with full stock kernel so it seems unlikely that it is the kernel.
P.s hboot is fine.

ARHD comes with stock HTC kernel, not Alex V
i installed Alex V due to it's juicy features...
anyway tried going back to the stock kernel, not good, it's laggy as hell.
i guess XMister can't/won't produce kernels for newer ARHD again huh
anyone out there have tried the official HTC 4.2.2 Sense 5 through OTA update/revering back to stock? how is/was it?

When you reverted you also need to install the modules (reflash the rom with a cache wipe) the caused lag was probably because you didn't ......

Lol, you were right. i didn't flash the modules yet...
even so, the problem still persists after installing stock kernel.
i still have the annoying camera lag and icon resets..
perhaps the only solution is to revert back to stock?

Disregard that i've upgraded my kernel to Alex 2.7 PA3, and the aforementioned problems are gone now..

I can't. I'm unable to unlock my device through HTCDev. It has a 'banned' serialnumber due to my carrier not allowing unlocks, root and all the other stuff contractwise.

If you want a sense based custom ROM then I recommend Viper X or ARHD. Viper X has lots of easy customization options and supports new bug fixes as OTA updates.

HTC One X Airplane Mode issue

Hi all! Well, as you can see the title my hox is now having airplane mode problem...(Stuck in airplane mode..) because of this I cannot make calls or sms which is very troublesome. My phone is rooted with custom rom(ARHD 18.0) and I have this intuition that somewhere in this process I might have make some mistakes. T_T So, if you don't mind I might ask you some noob questions later on....and i have tried out these solutions which did not work:
-Rebooting my device/hard reset/factory reset(also the 10 sec power button restart)
-Unrooting/ relocked oem and applied RUU
-Replacing my sim card(but my sim card works on other phones...)
after all of these, it didn't solve the problem..i just went on and installed the ARHD 18.0.
Here is some of my htc one x informations:
Android Version: 4.1.1
HTC Sense Version: 4+
Software number: Android Revolution HD 18.0 by mike1986
HTC SDK API level: 4.63

Cool... Find the 1.36 firmware (or 1.39 if you want to upgrade) and flash it using guide. I usually use one of the tools in the Android Development session which have firmwares and stuff already inside (i find it easier although it gives you less control over the whole procedure)

Amazing that you guys have the same issue as I had, yet your solution is to re-flash the firmware. HTC have told me they replaced the following -
Receiver
Motherboard
LCD
Touch Panel
Battery
And this was for my One X stuck in Airplane mode. Also the IMEI number was blank.
Incredible. May be your issue is slightly different?
really?

Depends !!! If he's on JB 3.14 then he can restore a ICS rom perfectly, if he's higher then 3.14 then he cant.....
Hmmm I'm on jb 320 so does that mean I am stuffed guys ?

No just do this :
Fastboot getvar version-main
And post the exact outcome ! Then we help. But why do you want to go back to stock ICS when you can run stock JB ?
Just wanted to back it because I'm finding this a bit laggy mate to be honest .
For what the phone has horsepower wise seems slow .
When I had a ics hox for a while was very very snappy .
Also my favourite navigation ain't working propely with jb.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Aha i get ya ! Well to be honest i don't have a way to get you back on ics. Its probably possible with an adapted kernel (repacked) or at least something like that. But i dont know how to fix that. And i havent seen the solution on xda either.
Sorry its JB for now and on to sense 5. Maybe it will improve a lot for you.
I can't say my phone is laggy at all btw. No issues here.
So is there a way of doing a repair install to see if that makes a difference and spoke to HTC support today apparently 4.2.2 ans sense 5 is in testing and is likely to be released within the next few weeks or so .

Yes. I need some exact info !
1: Fastboot getvar version-main
2: your type recovery and version number of it
Ok mate will do , just got back home from work ,I'll sit down later on the pc and do it .

[Q] How to reinstall stock rom? Currently running CyanogenMod.

Device HTC One x
Currently running cyanogenmod 10.2.1-endeavoru
HBOOT 1.72.0000
CID VODAP001
Baseband 5.1204.164D3.31
Was trying to downgrade the OS from sense 5 to sense 4+, in fact literally failed.
Now running with a cyanogenmod 10.2.1-endeavoru (Stable) Android 4.3.1
Again tried with some sense based roms (Revolution, Viper, Venom, etc) nothing works.
Now i really need my stock rom back. Can anyone help me with this?
can you tell what the exact error was? Did it fail while installing from recovery? Or it failed to boot?
Sent from my HTC One X
First of all i didnt took a back of my stock while trying to downgrade..
N after done my touch was not working. Then i again tried with some other roms as mentioned. But every rom was having an error. Sometimes touch not working. Sometimes get struck in boot screen itself.
Finally now working on cyanogenmod.

I think you can't downgrade to 4+ as touch driver is updated in hboot 1.7x.
So if you want to go back to stock, download a backup from the nandroid backup thread in general section.
