If you want a sense based custom ROM then I recommend Viper X or ARHD. Viper X has lots of easy customization options and supports new bug fixes as OTA updates.

2.17.720.2 update - How to install it?

Just got it.. ZIP attached..
How to install it on an unlocked bootloader??
PS: Stock and unlocked only.. Nothing else changed.
Trying to install it through TWIN will give me this: Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
The file was downloaded to /sdcard/Download
Filename: OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_hTC_Asia_India_2.17.720.2-1.29.720.11_release_*.zip
So, I guess it's the update from 1.29.720.11 (that I am using) to 2.17.720.2, right?
Any guests??
PS: Still uploading but.. http://www.mediafire.com/?r17hpho1hho27
I do have the recovery for 1.29.720.11 and I'm also uploading to the folder listed above.
Help?
Ok.. Managed to go back to full stock on 1.29.720.11 using the RUU available on the mediafire link above (uploading it as I type this).
Uploaded the HTCDriver3.x.x.x too because I was only able to get RUU working on a Windows XP machine thus the drivers for Windows XP are enclosed.
THIS PROCESS WILL ERASE EVERY THING FROM YOUR PHONE!
It will be back to stock (full stock) - even your "sd card" is formated!
So, now, going to 4.0.4! Fully clean. Hopefully.. downloading the update again to test it out.
Will keep you guys posted..
EDIT:
Done and Updated... Sense 4.1, ICS 4.0.4....
Now we only need 4.1.1..
HOW TO:
Grab your favorite HTC Driver,
Download RUU available on the link above,
Run it,
Install 1.29.720.11 back,
Download new software update on your own phone..
Done.. Easy as that.
Same problem with me too. Myself also tried with twin recovery but didn't able to success. Is it possible to root again after updating....

HTC One X Airplane Mode issue

Hi all! Well, as you can see the title my hox is now having airplane mode problem...(Stuck in airplane mode..) because of this I cannot make calls or sms which is very troublesome. My phone is rooted with custom rom(ARHD 18.0) and I have this intuition that somewhere in this process I might have make some mistakes. T_T So, if you don't mind I might ask you some noob questions later on....and i have tried out these solutions which did not work:
-Rebooting my device/hard reset/factory reset(also the 10 sec power button restart)
-Unrooting/ relocked oem and applied RUU
-Replacing my sim card(but my sim card works on other phones...)
after all of these, it didn't solve the problem..i just went on and installed the ARHD 18.0.
Here is some of my htc one x informations:
Android Version: 4.1.1
HTC Sense Version: 4+
Software number: Android Revolution HD 18.0 by mike1986
HTC SDK API level: 4.63

Cool... Find the 1.36 firmware (or 1.39 if you want to upgrade) and flash it using guide. I usually use one of the tools in the Android Development session which have firmwares and stuff already inside (i find it easier although it gives you less control over the whole procedure)

Amazing that you guys have the same issue as I had, yet your solution is to re-flash the firmware. HTC have told me they replaced the following -
Receiver
Motherboard
LCD
Touch Panel
Battery
And this was for my One X stuck in Airplane mode. Also the IMEI number was blank.
Incredible. May be your issue is slightly different?
really?

my phone just turning in airplane mode (without me noticing it) and after 2 sec closing it and i get "preparing SIM card" after 10 sec same thing happening
its cant be fixed by any of what the original writer of this title mentioned. i will try to reflash but then i guess its the motherboard T_T (replacing this will cost me alot - i guess)

If you want more help you should change your thread title by something more relevant like: ''Need help to find official rom for CID Y_13'' instead of just ''Q''.
As I understand from your others posts on different threads for different devices forum XD , you are looking for STOCK rom? Basic mean nothing for me sry....
if you are looking for STOCK rom:
download the nandroid backup for you CID on this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
and than restore that backup on your phone, ''how to'' on the same page.

Please help want to go back to Ics from jellybean

I want to go back to ics from jellybean , using stock firmware , not rooted and S on .
Is there a quick and simple ruu that I could use to do this , until the next firmware drops , as 4.2 and sense 5 seems imminent.

You can get your CID from this app >> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tritonsoft.cidgetter
Or you can type this command in fastboot >> fastboot getvar cid

Restore with CWM. And don't worry that the cid of the backup is HTC_e11, all the WWE cids have same firmware.

Depends !!! If he's on JB 3.14 then he can restore a ICS rom perfectly, if he's higher then 3.14 then he cant.....
Hmmm I'm on jb 320 so does that mean I am stuffed guys ?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
No just do this :
Fastboot getvar version-main
And post the exact outcome ! Then we help. But why do you want to go back to stock ICS when you can run stock JB ?
Just wanted to back it because I'm finding this a bit laggy mate to be honest .
For what the phone has horsepower wise seems slow .
When I had a ics hox for a while was very very snappy .
Also my favourite navigation ain't working propely with jb.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Aha i get ya ! Well to be honest i don't have a way to get you back on ics. Its probably possible with an adapted kernel (repacked) or at least something like that. But i dont know how to fix that. And i havent seen the solution on xda either.
Sorry its JB for now and on to sense 5. Maybe it will improve a lot for you.
I can't say my phone is laggy at all btw. No issues here.
So is there a way of doing a repair install to see if that makes a difference and spoke to HTC support today apparently 4.2.2 ans sense 5 is in testing and is likely to be released within the next few weeks or so .
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Yes. I need some exact info !
1: Fastboot getvar version-main
2: your type recovery and version number of it
Ok mate will do , just got back home from work ,I'll sit down later on the pc and do it .
Thanks for your help.
