i'm very disappointed because i install all Jelly Bean rom that i find here in this forum and all them have the data issue. any rom can fix that, i tried all roms by chillybean and nothing, i can navigate with the ZOE rom but still have problems conections with all the apps.
Somebody can make a good rom based in Jelly Bean that no have data issue because in my opinion this roms are wonderful and i want to use it in mi Droid Incredidible 2
thanks a loT
Are you gsm or cdma? Cuz most roms are still in the works for gsm so data is gonna be an issue. But if you are cdma then data works on majority of chilly's roms. Im on his cm10 rom on 4.1.2 jellybean and i dont have any issues at all. Make if u are try a different kernel or maybe flash an older radio cuz in the newer radios it does cause some glitches to data and service.

Not sure if anyone tried this ..
take a skyrocket ICS build use one of the TMO kernals .. will that work ?
Do i need to flash radio later ?
Thanks
afaik gingerbread kernels don't work for ICS roms, not to mention none of the ICS builds for the SR are stable enough to be used as a DD anyway. Though you can flash them with the SR kernel, you just won't have proper rotation just turn off auto rotation though and no issues.
How about Gingerbread roms on Skyrocket on TMO
Thanks ...
Ok So we dont have ICS kernel ...
Since it looks in TMO we have choice betw slick mod and jaugg ( love rom control ) and Darkside .. only
I was thinking if i put a SKyrocket build on the phone .. will the radio get flashed as well ? any adverse affect that way ?
Thanks Again for a quick response
I've never had to flash the radio, whatever baseband that is on your phone now should be there after the flash. There is however a radio thread in the development section if you wanted to try a different one. There should be no negative effects to flashing a different radio (I have yet to encounter one anyway) so find the one that works best for you. Also, if you wanted to try a good rom, Master&Slave makes a couple of deadly ones. Paradox and Tuesday are the names and they are ridiculously smooth, I just had to use setcpu to turn the clocks down a bit though i'm not sure if it was an error i made or if M&S has them cranked to begin with.
With all the ICS leaked roms popping up, what are you guys using for modem / radio? Do those ICS roms run correctly with tmobile GB modems / radios or are you using the ATT modem? if you are using the att modem.. do you still get hspa hspa+?
I have a few questions about flashing ROMS on my E4GT.
I've read a little about the different ROMS and I'm not sure which one to choose. I think Codename ICS is the right one for me but I need help with that. What I'm looking for:
Faster and more stable
Customization such as battery percent instead of the battery
Working WiFi and 4G
"Bloatware" doesn't really matter to me...can any of the apps be installed if I decide I want them?
Will I need to flash a new ROM when there's a Jelly Bean update or will there be an upgrade option?
Number 1 can not be accurately be answered.
Number 2 is in Samsung's stock ICS as well as CyanogenMod9 and I would assume AOKP. Many custom gingerbread roms had it.
Number 3.... usually not an issue
Number 4 custom roms, aosp roms all usually very stripped. If your not on AOSP then most touchwiz stuff can be put back on a custom touchwiz rom. Some include a removed apps folder.
Flashing a rom, broad term. All updates are "rom flashes" minor updates will replace some files major updates can do a whole lot more including pushing new bootloaders.
Jelly Bean update? I laugh very hard and then return to the ways you will get jelly bean. Flash a ported rom of Jelly Bean, CM10 when it comes out, AOKP when it goes Jelly Bean. Maybe someone will waste the time to port a GS3 jelly bean rom?
From what I can tell, there are no "official" CyanogenMod ROMs that work well on the E4GT. CM7 has issues with 4G. I can't remember where I read that. I believe it was a fairly recent post.
To clarify my question about upgrading, are there ways of simply upgrading from GB to ICS the way we do with the OTAs from the carriers? Could one just upgrade from CM7 to CM9 to CM10 without flashing it fresh?
I found this Rom that I really likehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2108386. I was wondering how to convert it to a CDMA rom. I know there are patches that can do it like the AtariiKieranFTW9 patch, but all of the threads I can see say you can't ever port a GSM Rom to a CDMA phone. Can anybody tell me why some roms are patchable and some roms aren't?
You can use use custom jb and ics on your R800x. But you cant you use custom gb on your r800x. The "x" is there for a reason no support from developers and because they dont have the "x" themselves. So what they are doing now is guess work. Like I said before you can install jb and ics on your R800x. You will have voice but no data or internet access from your provider.

I know that if you install a GSM rom on a CDMA phone that you can't get Data or internet, but I also know there are some roms like AOKPlay and CM9 that were written for GSM where you can use the AtariiKieran patch and use the full features on a CDMA phone. What I'm trying to understand is why that patch works for those ROMs..
Hey guys,
I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I've searched on the forums and on Google with no luck. Recently, my sound stopped working on my GSIII running CarbonRom 1.6. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, it just stopped working one day. Also when I'm in a call, the person on the other line cannot hear me. I've checked the sound settings numerous times and have made sure that I am not in silent mode.
I have tried other 4.2.2 ROMs and they all have produced the same result. I have also tried a factory reset and formatted data in TWRP. I reverted back to stock and have noticed that the sound seems to work when I'm not running 4.2.2 ROMs. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I really prefer the look and feel of vanilla Android and I'm really bummed out that 4.2.2 ROMs seem to kill sound. Thanks.

That's an easy questiion, like I have been saying all along none of the cm10/aosp/aokp or ported roms
are ready for prime time, they are good for those who want to experiment with a few features not found
in stock t999 4.1.1 Touchwiz Jellybean roms. None of the cm/aosp/aokp roms even have the Wifi calling feature.
That's why after trying all the aosp/aokp/CM and ported roms I have come to the conclusion above.
So unless you like experimentation only flash T-Mobile T999 stock 4.1.1 Touchwiz Jellybean roms
or any of the custom roms which are based on T-Mobile T999 Touchwiz v4.1.1 Jellybean stock rom.
The best custom T999 T-Mobile Touchwiz Jellybean 4.1.1 based rom in my opinion
is the Wicked v9.1 custom rom, check it out you won't be disappointed.
Good Luck!
You could always try to flash your 4.2.2 Tim of choose and choose not to restore Google backup, Google backs up settings. If it works without setting up your account then go from there.

I want to flash CM 10.2 again on my Ace II because I'm having some issues with the mobile network since I flashed it from my original Gingerbread. Now I know I need an official Jelly Bean, but they didn't release an update in my country (Bosnia & Herzegovina) so what do I do now? Does that mean that I can't flash CM 10.2 at all without having some problems or is there a solution for me? Will it work if I flash an unofficial JB custom ROM? If yes can someone link me to such a ROM?
Thank you in advance
You can install all JB stock roms for europe and than flash CM
So let's say I take a JB firmware for Germany and flash it on my Bosnian device it will work for flashing CM...maybe I should mention that I have a carrier lock, could that be a problem? Thank u for ur reply

It should work. I flashed a lot of stock ROMs from a lot of countries, and every one of them worked flawlessly. The carrier lock shouldn't cause any problems, although you might want to backup all of your data, just in case.

I can't believe it worked. I've been waiting for months for the OTA update, but I guess flashing was the only solution...now I have an official Jelly Bean and tomorrow CM 10.2 hopefully without any problems. Thanks a lot guys
