yeah im on tasks AOKP
first thing to do is clear your cache, boot into recovery, clear cache and reboot to system, most of the time this will fix it, if not then clear data and cache and that should fix it most of the time

no i havent ill try that now
i just tried it and it went to a screen but as soon as i let goo of the volume down and home buttons its shuts off
is it possible that my power button maybe stuck?
just heard from a friend that could be the problem
That's possible but as soon as the screen comes up you have to release both buttons or the screen does turn off, try volume up and home, when you see booting recovery, release both buttons, what I wanted to see is if you got the proper response, could be power button but have more to try

I'm on ICS UVLE1 and it seems that I am suffering from a power off issue where the magenta T-Mobile box stays on and the phone never really shuts off. It says brightly lit and I have to force it to turn off by pressing the power button for 30 seconds. It just sucks. It happens whenever I want to reboot or power off my phone. It just never really shuts off or restarts.
I still can't seem to fix this problem and I'm just not enjoying my experience on ICS or maybe my Galaxy S2 is one of those bad apples. Sad to say, I guess my expectations were a little to high. :-/
I rooted and installed ICS mms gallery and calendar . I notice this issue you have l but it restart fine just lag on power off so I just hold power down no biggie

I was going to complain about the same.
I've even tried reinstalling, wiping, etc. Also, time zone resets to zero. F'ing annoying.
I'm looking around to see if I find anything.

have you tried formatting your sd card where the photos and downloads are kept? i had the same issue, albeit with the telus rom, and formatting the sd card worked for me.

This issue has been addressed many times. Look for dark side cache wipe. Flash it. Then you should be good to go. It has to do with using cwm to flash roms. Don't use the wipe feature in it, flash either super wipe "everything" or cache wipe from TDJ.

This is a very well known issue. If you are unrooted, do a factory reset. If you are rooted, flash TDJs cache wipe.

Would you happen to have a link for it?

Also, the Dark something super wipe works wonders. Wipe, reinstall ROM, and you're ready to go.
In the Q& A forum, I posted the instructions. In the development section, you can find the Super Wipe.

I was having this exact issue during shutdown and reboots. It went away after flashing TDJ's Darkside.Cache.Wipe.
I had the same issue, just reinstall it and you'll be fine.

new note2
using the original rom which comes with the phone. randomly freeze after i turn on the cell phone. sometimes it will restart automatically, sometimes won't. after auto restart, it stuck on samsung logo. I tried to flashed the root stock (ATT ROM) which is downloaded here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2004650
I also tried Jedi X 6.1.2
no matter I did factory reset or wipe cache + dalvik cache, I still got the same problem.
anyone has an idea what is going on?:crying:
Pull the battery once you Odin stock att , then replace Battery. Don't turn it on hold the volume up, home button, and power to get into recovery. Once in there do a factory reset then reboot

I have an the Galaxy note 2 at&t i317. I installed the diaphanes rom and it was working fine the night before last.... then I hit hot boot yesterday morning and my phone froze. I am able to get into download mode... I have tried Odin v3.7 and used KIES_HOME_I317UCALJ2_I317ATTALJ2_215287_REV04_user_low_ship.tar to get my stock rom back...... i tried several times... it goes through the entire process... after it reboots its goes to the SAMSUNG glaring on/off..... nothing else....
What else can I do?

and, congratulations for posting in the correct place!
Hello all,
I installed the newest Cyanogenmod 10.1 nightly (3/24/13) and the phone worked just fine for a few hrs. But when I selected Google Play the phone turned off and got stuck in a boot loop. I tried rebooting in download mode by connecting to my PC while holding volume up+down but it doesn't wotk. I tried rebooting into recovery but still no luck. No matter what I do it just boots to the Samsung logo then just vibrates in 3 second intervals.
I'm ok with flashing my phone to stock and rooting again. But it wont do anything but vibrate every few seconds no matter what I try. I'm desperately trying to get it into download mode. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Did u try removing battery & then try to reboot?

Yes, I did.
Weirdest thing happened though. I got frustrated and left the phone vibrating on my desk. I came back 10 minutes later and it's back to normal!!
I have no idea what happened and I don't plan to try to figure it out. I'm happy it's back up and running.
Thanks for the reply though. Very much appreciated.
That is weird

LED is flashing multi-colored and won't stop. Nor sure what caused this. I restored a few apps and froze a few. I can't put my finger on what could have caused this.
anyone?

It does that on boot/reboot.
Are you fully booted?
If not long press power or remove the battery and see if it boots normally.
yeah it does it on boot, reboot, or after rebooted following shutdown. Yes. I am fully booted. I tried long pressing the power and removing the battery. after it's booted the led continues to stay on.
what I did earlier was restore both of the bluetooth apps, restored both of the drm apps, restored lgsetupwizard, and restored com.lge.lgfota.perm.
any ideas?

what rom are you using? the fastest answer to this would be to search the forum for the rom your using and ask on there. it may be something with th rom others are having problems with, ot you may just need to do a factory/data reset, reboot, and reset up your rom.
I am using just the stock rom that came with my LG-E980 and of course I am rooted.
