I wouldn't bother. Unused RAM is wasted RAM; Android memory management is WAY better than anything you can do manually so all you're really doing is wasting clock cycles and battery by killing apps that Android is just going to start up again at some point.
All this app killing nonsense is just that, complete nonsense. Stop bothering with it.

Is there a way to close apps using the "other apps" area, ie when you hooks down the home button and see list of recent apps, Swype left or right to remove from list, but this doesn't close them. Is there a way so that it will close the apps?

Task Manager
or
Giving phone a mini-bath
Yeah use task manager
I just want to be able to Swipe then away like it has without without having to go to another screen. For example (sorry to use this as an example) on iOS a user can double tap the home button to see all running apps and can close the apps right there. I want to be able to do the same thing with the system we have.

Can I ask why? Android handles task/memory management without your intervention. The only time you should have to manually close an app is if it stops responding.
swiping from the recent list does close them...
Yes, this is correct, swiping from the recent list does NOT close any apps, it just clears them from the list.
If you wanted to force close an app click the task manager button, then click exit or exit all on the Active Applications tab.
Wrong..... It does close them. End of discussion. Look at your task manager then do the screen wipe and clear all tasks... Check task manager again... All gone.

It does close them but beware, unless the application is ACTIVELY running in the background closing applications will do nothing but free a little RAM (which you have plenty of) and will decrease battery life if you restart the applications at a later time.
Right now I have 26 Apps "open" and have no slow down. All in all I suggest you leave them be.

Hi,
Is there any way to enable on screen buttons on note 2 ? I just need back and home button on it.
Thanks
Not at the moment. you can edit build.prop but things get all messed up.
Just download button savior for now. I have it setup where back and home pops out of the left side and goes bck in withiin a second once used. very convenient and minimal. Doesn't take up much space like all the other wannabe button apps.
OPPAN NOTE 2 STYLE!!!
You can I do its throws a couple of things out of wack. Tw launcher. I use apex though. The camera, cuts of half of the shoot button and the diailer also call log your last call ........ im used to it the buttons are of more help to me then the problems are trouble...." qemu.hw.mainkeys=0"

Not sure why anyone would want to edit the build.prop, it messes up all the dimensions. Here is a pic of what i am talking about. Button Savior simple clean and works. Everything is configurable, from button locations, size, numbers of them, how long before it goes away etc ..
Does anyone know how to close apps when you hold the middle button down without swiping them all? Task managers don't work. Please see my photo

If you are on stock rom, i'm afraid there is no easy solutions ... i didn't find any myself
On custom rom, some give access to a button to close every running app, CM10 for example, on top right of the screen

There are apps that use the proximity sensor to control music controls or even unlock the phone from one. Type on proximity or something and they should pop up, I know this is not what you are looking for but could be an option for now

There are some mods which let you reprogram your home button. You should check out Xposed framework. Also, you could go for a virtual bar which emulates home, menu and back button. There is a very nice app which is called something like "dynamic app bar" in the play store. Maybe you could use that app to create a special button for music controls.

Hi...
I want to turn on multi Window automatically after power on or restart my phone. I'd search through this forum and even in Google but I couldn't find the answer.. I had tried "auto run manager" but it can't help.. Can anyone please tell me how to do that?
Thanks in advance..

When you restart the phone, some settings such 3g wifi on or off and this case multi window on or off is saved and is the same on restart.
If you meant the tab on the screen to bring up the multiwindows, the shortcut is press and bold the back button when on homescreen.
Otherwise not such how I can help

Thanks for help.. But I already know about that.. I'm just so lazy to long press "back" key to bring up multi Window bar and instead, the bar will appear automatically at system start.. So, though my problem is not important and can be even called "insane", I'll appreciate all help if possible
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Another reason other than laziness is " I just wanna replace back key long press to open my favorite app using simplistic framework"
I mean.. If multi Window automatically appear at system start, I can use back key long press to open my most used app
