Ok so I have been using Wicked Sensations ROM for quite some time but I have to return my phone back to stock form as the USB port doesn't function correctly. Sprint sent me a replacement, but I have already moved over to Verizon and got a Note 3 (vastly superior phone btw).
I have to return the phone to stock, obviously, so I am attempting to do the process described in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1904099
I was able to flash the zip just fine and I get into stock recovery, wipe cache, then wipe data/restore, but then the phone sits at the SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 screen the Wicked Sensations ROM used to show on boot up. THe phone does nothing and will not launch into the OS.
I went into download mode and I see:
PRODUCT NAME: SPH-L710
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: No
CUSTOM BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
I checked the version of the ROM before I attempted to go back to stock and it was at 4.1.3, so I would think KNOX shouldn't be an issue.
Please help I am desperate!

Anyone? Please help me :-/

You need to find a stock tar and flash thru Odin. I'd go to youtube and look up qbking77 and how to unroot. I believe he has the links on there to the tars and stuff.

I have done a factory reset/recovery and it just sits at the screen I described in my OP.
I have searched high and low for the 4.1.3 update and so far that site you linked is the only place I've found it. However, I find it very suspicious that in order for me to sign up for a free account, I have to give them my credit card for "verification purposes".
Can anyone else help me?
I guess I'll keep bumping this until I hit 10 posts so I can submit it to the guy who make the ROM is used to go back to stock.
Can you not PM someone until post 10 as well?

I'm not exactly sure what to tell you to do since your on stock recovery now and usb port doesn't work. But at least I can help you get your 10 posts in. You should still be able to pm with less than 10 posts though, unless they changed it.

I am currently on the aokp rom and i need to sell the phone and wipe everything on the phone. I cant seem to find a guide that does this perfectly. Ideally I would like to return to 100% stock as if the phone is brand new out of the box.
Any suggestions?

Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746665 and follow the instructions - watch the video from wwjoshdew and it's super easy. You could always sell the phone the way it is - the aokp rom is a definite feature..

Yea but i think the average person is going to be like wtf is this. Most people don't know about custom roms and phones. (at least i dont think they do)
So i flashed the stock firmware and it keeps hanging at the samsung boot screen it does the att boot animation then gets stuck at the samsung one.
I put the md5 fild in the pda box on odin. thats correct right?
I'm trying to download the file from another mirror maybe i got a corrupt download.

No, just pull the battery and reboot into recovery. Do a wipe data/factory reset then reboot and you should be good to go.

I bought a T-Mobile Galaxy S 3 LTE with model number SGH-T999L. I used Odin V3 1.85 to flash TWRP recovery and CyanogenMod 10.0.0.
Everything went well but my camera doesn't work. On launching the camera, I get a "Can't connect to camera" error and it quits. The same behavior is observed when using other camera apps. I tried the instructions in this thread(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239414) but it did not fix my problem. I now want to go back to my stock ROM. I successfully downloaded and flashed stock recovery using Odin. However, Odin fails when I try to flash the stock ROM obtained from the samsung website. It gives me a "write failed" error and stops. Any tips or suggestions to help me out would be appreciated. Thanks
Is it supposed to use T999 firmware?
Only odin flash T999L firmware. I dont see it released yet at samsing-updates.com though.
Maybe samfirmware.com? I can look later.

Why not reflash the stock ODIN flash rom and make sure it all works ok for you, that will tell you exactly what the problem is.
If the stock rom is working properly, then there is only one thing left which is the culprit and that is the CM10/AOKP/AOSP
or PORTED roms which many people seem to like flashing.
The CM10/AOKP/AOSP and ported roms are excellent if you are a developer or if you like to do a lot of experimentation with your phone.
So the thing to do now is reboot your phone to recovery mode, do a "Factory Reset", "Wipe Cache", "Wipe System" and "Wipe Dalvik".
When that's done Open Odin and put the stock rooted T999 Tmobile Jellybean 4.1.2 into Odin's PDA slot, go into download mode
and once you see Odin is connected to the phone start the flash. Have patience for the phone to boot after its done flashing.
Here is the stock rooted Odin flash T999 Tmobile Jellybean 4.1.2 rom that you can download if you like: T999_UVDMD5
Official JB Firmware - Latest JB 4.1.2 Firmware
My suggestion to you is to only flash Samsung T999 Tmobile stock based Jellybean 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 roms in the future.
But who am I to say whats best..... This is just my personal opinion...... Which usually is not worth a dime. LOL

I am a newbie. I thought the T999 was the same as the T999L. That would explain why Odin doesnt flash stock T999 onto my device. Can anyone here post a link to the stock SGH-T999L ROM?
Just did a quick check and I dont see that the firmware has been made available for download yet.
If you want stock I would flash one of the stock based custom roms via recovery for now.
Out of curiosity, what is your current baseband version?

I had the same issue with the same phone. Got it 2 weeks ago haha. Did you happen to make a backup first using CWM Recovery? If so, you can just restore that backup and you'll have your camera functionality back. It's pretty annoying switching back and forth from CM10.1 back to stock just to take pictures but Rom manager makes it pretty quick and effortless.
Actually now that I think of it, they prob wont release the original firmware. Seems like the first build is never available, only when an update is released do we get firmware we csn download.
I am working with another member on getting something going for the T999L, but right now we are stuck until a verified safe method of rooting is found. (Dont want to flash a recovery or cf autoroot w/o knowing it wont screw something up)
Itll happen, but we just gotta be patient.
Just reread the op and see that you say you flashed TWRP. So you were able to initially gain root without any problems?

I used Odin to flash Clockwork Mod recovery first. I did not like Clockwork Mod's interface and reflashed with TWRP. I had no problems to gain root with either of these methods. I also tried Cyanogenmod stable 10.0.0 and then 10.1 RC2 without any problems. As far as I can tell, all apps work except for the camera. One word of caution though. As you can see from my posts, I am new and dont know what I am doing. I might have just gotten lucky since my device is still unbricked. I had only one "scary" moment during the entire process. I used TWRP to wipe my phone clean and was stuck with no OS install file. ADB sideload did not work since it could not recognize the device at that point. Luckily, I had a micro SD card lying around and was able to put in a new OS install file using my laptop and then TWRP was able to handle it.

Wish I had made a backup! Could you zip up the files contained inside "/system/cameradata/" folder and post a link here? Hi there. Basically I have rooted the tab I have, t310, and ive now realised that the screen is loose in one corner and it needs unrooting if this is a fault worth getting a replacement from my place of purchase.
I rooted using a guide which gave me a screwy recovery so I changed to philz. I am rooted with supersu. I was winderinf about flashing the official firmware. However, the samsung firmware site download links for official firmware are duds.
There is an unroot option in supersu but I'm guessing that won't get rid of the philz recovery. What can I do? Any help is very much appreciated.
Have you had a look to see if your stock firmware is listed on here? - http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-T310
There is a T31x stock recovery zip posted on here, can't remember which thread I got it from now but I do have it backed up.
warranty
Is there a way to restore back warranty after onroot?
thank you very much. If there is anybody who could possibly take a small amount of time to tell me how I go about getting my tab back to how it was at purchase, I would be so so grateful.
Basically all I have to do is unroot and get rid of this philz recovery.

Oh, my bad, I didn't even think of just using those instructions with this firmware. Silly me. Thanks, I'll let you know how goes.
Quick question - I noticed that this is the stock rom - I think I already have stock ROM... I just need to unroot and get rid of Philz recovery. Will this method do that? Or do I need an entirely separate file?
This method will do that.
However, you may also first try using the unroot feature of SuperSU.

Before I do that, I've also wondered about the flash counter. Now I haven't flashed roms but does the recovery and root count as a flash? I have no triangle at boot - and when I use triangleaway it says my device is not supported, which renders me unable to find out if its flashed (i'm hoping not as i do not have the warning sign at startup) but does that mean that I can't get my warranty back even if it was unrooted and such?

As with all recent Samsung devices it's likely that there is a hidden counter that increases when you flash anything else BUT Official Samsung ROMs. You will have already increased the counter flashing a different recovery. As Triangle Away doesn't support the T310 as well as lack of developer support you won't be able to reset this counter at present.
Just hope they don't check the counter when you send it back for warranty repair.

Hi as always I come for the expert advice to you guys. I have recently UPDATED my Galaxy S4 for Tmobile to CyanogenMod. Frankly I love the speed but it is still in beta version and has a few things I did not like. Few glitches. Anyway:
I want to go back to my stock firmware which was Kit Kat 4.2.2.before I installed Cyanogenmod.
I already downloaded Odin V3 09 and am ready to do this but I still do not have the stock firmware file. I looked for it but I really don't want to screw it up.
Can someone be so kind and insert the link to the download ? And if of course possible STEP BY STEP instructions on HOW TO GO BACK ?
I understand my phone now is rooted and will stay rooted after reinstalling Kit Kat. So I still should be able to get rid of all the bloatware correct ?
Any help greatly appreciated and huge THANKS IN ADVANCE !!!

Finding the stock firmware won't be easy unless you try downloading from sammoble, but you could try Fenny's stock rooted 4.4.2 rom in development.
It's very smooth without the bloatware and it has unlimited tethering.
It works best with Philz recovery.
Just follow the directions and your good to go.
Don't forget to do a factory reset.
Pp.
Sent from my Touchwiz device that never forgets apps.
PIN lock screen does NOT work on Fenny's rom when you first boot/restart/power up the phone. So, if you are turning your phone on the lock screen will just be skipped over.
Pin lock issue could be NG if you need that type of security.

How do you get an ATT S3 back to full stock config and count reset??
I have an SGH-I747 that was rooted, cwm recovery and a few roms installed in the past. Right now I am stuck. I want to go back to all official/original, like it would if you bought it new. I would like it to have the latest official ATT firmware build, kernel ,modem, etc.... and the counter reset. I'm currently on 4.3 but I don't know if its the official build for ATT, I included a screenshots of device info. Please check them for more info. If you need more let me know.
I know some of you are going to say "did you read through the forums??" The answer is yes I did but could not find a good answer to my particular problem. I am somewhat of a noob but I do know the basics. All I ask is for a bit of help or info.
Thanks in advance
You can reset the custom binary count, but not the warranty bit.
The best you can do is follow enewman17's stock restore thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658486
Then update to 4.4.2 via ota.

Try factory reset in recovery
Factory resetting solves about 99% of all boot hangs.
