I know the Samsung Hub store is lame but I need to use up the remaining $28 samsung credits before they are expired on Dec 20..
I've bought a couple of movies a few weeks ago, but I tried to rent a few more for my upcoming Asian trip. But the Samsung Hub video won't pop up the sign in window after I hit either rent or buy option... I then tried in music store and game store, they both worked fine (allowed me to sign in and select payment type)..
I googled but don't find anything useful for my situation. So I'd like to ask for some help here if anyone has similar situations or know how to fix it... I know I can factory reset, but I have to re-download everything and set up.. So I won't do this until last minute..
Thanks a bunch!

I reset my note 10.1 2014 today but still the Samsung video won't let me rent or buy...

I am having the same problem, nothing happens, not just you, I clear the app data and tried again and didnt work, must be something wrong on their side.
I was having the same issue. Try uninstalling the video app updates. Worked for me when using the factory version of the video app.

Thank you, that worked for me by removing updates. I contacted Samsung 2 days ago but no luck from them. They must have a bad version of the app

I've been using trillian on all my Android phones for several years and never had an issue. it worked fine before the update and now it won't sign in at all. just stays in the signing in window forever.already tried reinstalling. tried reinstalling and it doesn't fix anything. anyone else deal with this?
Try fixing permission or reflash rom
Are you rooted? What rom?

Wow trillian. That's a name I haven't heard in years. Didn't even know it was still out!
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I stopped using trillian, they wanted me to pay more money after I purchased it for full price a couple years ago which was supposed to encompass updates and upgrades for life. When out asked them about it they said while they appreciate my money, they feel that since they've added new stuff it was appropriate to ask for monthly payments to offset their development cycle.
IMO instant messenger for android works better imho.

That's odd I'm a pro user as well from the very start. I have a 4 diget number and have never been asked to pay anything beyond the 2 gen upgrade which was like 2004? Since then they have rolled out a ton of updates and never been asked to pay anything.

I didn't get a code, but they found me in their system. When I asked them about it after reading something about being grandfathered in, that's when they told me they felt the need to have me pay more.
Sorry for the rant, but when I pay for something because I was told it was lifetime, I expect it to be lifetime. Besides, open source is the way to go for me.

Sry got off.topic, I'm not having any issue on a unrooted ICS stock and of course it still works fine o. GB. I have seen firewalls
block trillan so I have to ask is this just happen in one place or have tried connecting from say a Starbucks etc?

Hey all,
Tried to Google this, but all issues are about the evo 4g. I'm having the same issue on my nexus, which is pretty weird. Tried flashing paranoid over liquidsmooth (followed correct protocol and such when flashing). Decided I didn't like it and returned to my backup of liquid, but noticed that Google wallet wouldn't initialize, which has never happened before. Any ideas on how to fix this? If rather not fastboot back to stock, but I do use wallet on a regular basis. Thanks to anyone who can help!

How long have you tried waiting at the initializing screen? Have you tried re-installing it? Specifically uninstalling it first instead of just re-installing it over the app.
I've tried reinstalling, wiping data, letting it sit for over an hour, and changing my build prop (which I'm restoring after I post this). Any other ideas on why it would freeze up like this? Should I call Google?

Yea, believe it or not, this tipped my decision to jump ship to the note. Really will miss google wallet Was so much fun to use it at mcdonald's and watch the cashier's jaw drop, then call over their manager and frantically tell him that someone just paid with their phone, yelling about the apocalypse. Good times

Something similar happened to me recently, I went into McDonald's the other day to get a soda and when I paid with my phone, the cashier looked at me like a time traveler. Then he called over a bunch of his co-workers and they asked me a bunch of questions about it. Good times

I had a friend that was in a car accident and broke his screen on his T-Mobile Galaxy S II that wanted to save his data before sending it back when he received the replacement. I had no idea that Kies had the ability to backup/restore until today. I was trying to use adb to just pull the data but the device was not rooted and debugging was not enabled.
Then before i gave up i just opened Kies as a last resort method thinking to myself "Hmm... Samsung probably has something for this"
I was able to successfully backup from the one with the broken screen and restore to the replacement in about 20 minutes... Gave him the new phone and everything was all there as if nothing happened, contacts, messages, call logs, settings, pictures, music, videos, etc
I just wanted to share my experience with anyone who did not know about this feature from the Samsung Kies software. Is there anything else that you can do?
What do you use Kies for? Share your experience...

Yeah, I would normally use other methods of data extraction like adb but like I said the screen was broken. But if your not rooted and you need to get your data this is something that works.

Good tip, I'll have to remember that if anyone comes in my store with similar needs.
See... This is why I thought it would be a good idea to start this thread. I'm glad to see that at least one other person saw this to be useful. Heck, even if only 1 sprint technician does this when customers are replacing phones it will help many customers in the long run.
Shameless bump for the guy with a broken screen with no root.

Hi guys, recently lots of S3 owners encouter this scary issue that their S3's motherboards just failed randomly and the phones are dead. Here is the link to the thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1993044
However, after reading pages, I noticed most cases are in the UK, some in other europe countries, some in asia (india, south east asia). Not sure the US version (and Tmo version specificly) is suffering from this, so I made this thread to gather information about this. I know I am paranoid, but I was hoping my S3 would last at least 2 years til my next upgrade. And now Im living in fear after knowing that thread. My S3 (manufacture date is 06/27/12) is still performing very fine with zero issue since august except the SD card being removed unexpectedly 2 times by the phone itself.
(btw, you can check your manufature date by dial this code: *#12580*369# )
Edit: seems like only international version suffers from this issue.

Warranty or not. Motherboards shouldn't fail on its own.its a recall. manufacturer should be held responsible without warranty.

Exactly. These phones are too damn expensive for them to keep sticking us consumers on the crap end of the stick when they screw up.

as much as i hate to say this but if this does happen to mine, this will be the last time I buy from Samsung and might jump ship to Apple where I can take a phone in a get it fixed in time.
Im pretty happy with Samsung, I deal with warranty on a day to day basis in another way but there is an expected amount of devices that go out that a company knows is going to fail at some point and also rely on returns for warranted devices to see what went wrong in production in order to correct it.
The problem is you have "X" amount of people on the forum which is big in consideration to a regular site and "Y" with the same problem and people group in and make the issue bigger than it is. Any company that posts a recall is at the point that OVER 42% of the product with the same failure over the release.
With that said I haven't had one problem with mine that others have reported and after being let down by HTC time and time again I most definitely will buy another Samsung device, so far it's been the best I've had out of the collection of smartphones I have.

You dont have to go to the store, call T-Mobile and they will send you one with an RMA, as soon as you get it put the old one in the box and send it out. All they do is check for water damage and put it up for refurbish they don't waste time putting it through testing they test the devices that may have account info on it if you can't power it up to format it before sending it back. They ask you that on the phone.

So does this mean that none of the tmo peeps have had no issues with their devices dying? I only ask because, I just got my galaxy last Wednesday. Had a couple quirks, but nothing's dead yet. Had a little issue with my music and swipe. When I would get my notifications tones say from email I would be listening to music, the sound would nearly drown out and stay that way till I paused my music and started again all was fine. I've been getting random screen flashes near the bottom of the screen, like a ton of lines like a glitch. Anyone else having this issue as well? Feel free to add anything else if you like.

Sounds to me like you might have activated something in developers options, go in settings and see if you selected anything that would flash the screen if long processes are in use.

Nothing in dev out of the usual, only thing being ticked is the usb debugging, and turned up the animation scales, transitions etc to .05, animations were at 1, but I was using swype, only happens when using that. Any better keyboards I can download on the market better than the Samsung or swype?

Did you enable any traces? That would show depending on what you have checked. I was gonna try enabling a few to see what it does but it's not like it would ruin anything. I'll report back though to see if I can recreate it.
Edit nope that did nothing, hope you figure it out, I never had that happen before.

Always worked for me. even when I had busted titanium backups and some were paid apps, I just deleted and re-download, no problem. -shrugs-
When I purchased my Note 3 yesterday, it showed my paid apps as unpaid. It was due to the fact that my micro sim card wasn't initialized for my phone. So one quick call to Customer Care, and voila! The Google Play services correctly displayed my apps as usual. I hope this helps.
