Hey guys im having a little bit of trouble with my SGS3 Sgh-i747m From Claro Puerto Rico this model is the 4glte version of the sgs3 we have out here, the thing is that i was searching for the 4.3 update for my phone and the only one that i saw was the one for the Rogers and Bells version. It suppose to be the exact same phone since all of the models this company Claro have are the same as the canadians, ok so i flash the 4.3 update of the rogers version from my model and now i dont have service, i got the bars and maybe i can get like 1 minute of data and that's it, another thing is that if i was using an unlock phone the only thing i need to do to make it work is putting the apn settings and im good to go, but with the update that i did to my phone i can put the apn settings but there is a part that changed on the apn settings field. and i dont know if that's the problem cause normally i have to write default, supl on that part and now all i get is three choices to choose and doesnt let me write anything. I wonder if someone from this forum know how can i go back to a Claro PR firmware or if anyone has one that can send it out to me. Its been two days of my search for this kind of files and still no luck and the only ones available the links are down cause they are from hotfile. I manage to downgrade the version of android to 4.1.2 but it's a rogers firmware rooted i did root the phone and install CWM on it so as of now my phone has root access and CWM ready to go, i dont know if theres a Claro PR recovery file here on this forum i looked and didnt saw one,. another thing is,. Can i use roms from the att sgs3 to use them on my phone or not??? the Att version is the i747 and my Claro Puerto Rico version is i747m
What version do you have of baseband? If you are not on I747MUMLL1 baseband you will problems with data, you can download the 4.1.1 firmware from sammobile

I do have that firmware but for some reason when i try to flash it via odin it fails to install, i dont know if that has to do with the fact that i manage to update from 4.1.1 to 4.3 and that's not letting me go back to 4.1.1 stock, but every 4.3 firmware i can flash it without a problem or if i root the phone and flash a rom i can and i did but still no stable data, if a boot up the phone i can get a little bit of service for like a minute then it drops.
Sorry for some reason I didn't catch the upgrade, I thought you had downgraded with the Canada rom, so download the MUMLL1 modem and flash it via recovery and it should restore your data

I'm currently running Quantum Rom Kitkat 4.4.2 using the baseband i747MVLUEMK5 as today and so far no issue with data, sms and mms. And tested the prior version I747MVLDMF1 too and no issue.
You need the MUMLL1 modem in PR to get data you can find all modems in SGS III AT&T thread in development thread, download it and flash from recovery and you will have data

The same problem occurs to me on January, now you can't downgrade because you have the new bootloader 4.3 with Knox Security, then I have to do a mixed Rom from Rogers 4.3 and Claro 4.1.1 to downgrade to 4.1.1 official from Claro PR, in my first post I explain how to downgrade, I do it with my phone SGH-I747M just follow the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2625461 :good:

Can you please kindly provide URL for download the Mix Firmware + Ill need a .PIT to full repair my table as it came corrupt in someway on the unit, you can backup the .PIT from your actual working I747M unit to use with the mixed firmware. At least I still have access to Download Mode.

Need .PIT File for Claro PR SGH-I747M
Need .PIT File for Claro PR SGH-I747M as this is Signed per Carrier so, this means the I747M from Rogers .PIT File is not the same for I747M from Claro PR .PIT File. I need one compatible with Claro PR. If someone please kindly provide .PIT for Claro PR or AT&t both of them can works for me. Thank You in Advance!!! and by the way, the links for the different .PIT files download on this thread or forum are DEAD/NOT WORKING That is why im requesting again for it.

Look at broadband version in your koodo stock rom. Betting its the Telus radio.

OK, the reason is that my phone keeps thinking tel us is the provider and I would like it to show the Koodo branding, and also look to Koodo for provisioning.

I think 4.1.2 merged Telus and koodo as far as software goes since koodo uses Telus. Just easier for Samsung and/or the carriers I guess. Not sure you can change anything about that. A dev probably could, but can't see it happening. Unless the dev was on koodo maybe.

Hello all,
Recently flashed the latest OmniROM 4.4.2 KitKat on a Rogers i747 from a 4.3 CarbonROM, but as a result, I no longer have any mobile network connection whatsoever. Can't even make an emergency call. Wifi does work though.
I'm running:
omni-4.4.2-20140205-d2att-HOMEMADE
CWM 6.0.4.7
SuperSU 1.91
and flashed the latest bootloader boot_CWM_I747MVLUEMK5 as I was getting a status 7 error before I did this when flashing the ROM zip.
When I go into Mobile Network settings, it says insert SIM and restart if I try to access Mobile Plan (already tried)`, IMEI and basband is unknown. Basically everything in the phone status menu is unknown or disconnected. I am unable to add APN settings for some reason as I can enter it all but it will not save.
I haven't tried flashing a different radio yet and I cannot seem to find much through searches.
If more info is required for a diagnosis I'll try my best to provide it.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated
Cheers!
Problem solved. Didn't realize no modem was installed.

PLEASE KEEP FOR VISIBILITY
your post saved my phone. I recently flashed a CM11 nightly (cm-11-20140211-NIGHTLY-d2att.zip), was forced to update my bootloader using "boot_CWM_I747MVLUEMK5" in order to do so (would get failed prop bootloader error), and when i booted the phone i lost all signal as well.
Lost IMEI, unknown baseband. Tried to inject IMEI to no avail all day, until i saw this post, with such a simple fix.
THANK YOU
Network is disabled!

You need to find a flashable modem for your phone. Then flash it with twrp cwm or what ever the custom recovery for your phone is.
This forum is for the Samsung galaxy S3 SGH-I747 and SGH-I747M. You should go to the galaxy note forum. I am sure there is some stuff in the development section or read some stickies and the search function is your friend.

Hi!
I've a similar problem, my i747m is unlocked with "123Unlock.nl" and i recently update my OS to 4.3 but i can't connect to the 3G/LTE network, i've already tried with TELCEL and IUSACELL chip and 3 differents ROMS but i can only use the 2G network, before i unlocked my phone i used the phone with TELCEL (LTE).
Anybody has any idea what could it be?
Thanks for your help.

Perhaps it's time for a new rom? Rogers, Telus, Bell, Fido, etc... all use the exact same modem. I finally have all my roms and mods all linked in my sig. I also flashed the MK5 just right now. Everything seems to be working fine on my end.
Edit: So this morning when I started to make a few phone calls my phone would just reboot itself and be stuck in a bootloop. Flashed the BMA3 modem and everything is back to norm.

SGH-M919 is the T-Mobile variant, so it should be no problem.
The easiest way to go back to stock is to use KIES, but that will revert you back to V.
You can download stock and flash with ODIN. As long as it is stock T-Mobile and you have a T-Mobile account, WiFi calling will work fine.

No, the modem wouldn't be your problem. Since you are already updated to the official 4.4.2, you now have KNOX to worry about. If you don't care about setting the 0x1 flag, your best bet would more than likely be to flash a custom recovery and a modded/stock ROM specifically for the M919 from the Android Development section. You keep mentioning that you have a Nextel device... just to confirm, you have a T-Mobile SIM, correct? Because if not, WiFi calling won't work for you anyway.
Yup, I have a T-mobile account and the phone has a T-mobile SIM in it
I don't think that KNOX flag is an issue as it is an unlocked Non T-mobile phone.
If I have an issue with the phone at all T-mobile is not going to support it.
The model phone I have apparently is exactly the same as the T-mobile branded phone, when I registered it with Samsung they identify it as a T-mobile phone.
I guess I could just get a 1900MHZ repeater and call it a day as well.

You could, I guess... but I would be willing to bet that it would be a lot cheaper to just get WiFi calling working
Like I said, you'll probably have to forget going the Odin route and use a custom recovery and modded/stock T-Mobile TouchWiz ROM.
First of All I want to say sorry for poting this query in Another thread, really don't want to create another thread Can I install ROMs from Tmobile section to my i9505 (international Variant)? There're loads of great ROMs here wanna try some of them..but bit afraid to brick the device, even though both devices shares same hardware...just want to confirm from you people

T-mobile TouchWiz ROM.. Is that stable?
I'm not interested in constantly flashing the phone to get the bug fixes ...
I'd give a stable ROM a try so is that the one to go with?

Yeah, most every ROM posted in the development section is stable, TouchWiz or AOSP. Just make sure you read the OP to confirm that whichever ROM has WiFi calling included as there are TW ROMs which have been ported to our device from other carrier's S4s.... Only those specifically for the M919 will have WiFi calling and it will be specified in the OP. I'm not going to recommend which ROM to flash, but from someone who's tried them all... you can't make a bad decision whatever you choose.

Yes, you can. The only S4 ROMs you should stay away from are those made for the i9500 and non-standard S4's (i.e. S4 mini, S4 Active, etc). Any other variant of the standard S4 (including the i9505G) is good to go; just use a kernel for your specific device. On that note though, the i9505 and M919 kernels are interchangeable, so there's no need to follow that protocol when using our ROMs for your device and vice versa.

Thanks bro for your reply, that's great to know and gained extra 150+ ROMs thread as well really good to use great ROMS in this section
After doing some research my question:
The reason I can't use this firmware is due to the fact that my current baseband is higher than the one I was attempting to flash.
I have FNE2 and was trying to flash FNB4?
Thoughts?
Still looking to do this did anything change here? Has anyone successfully with flashing this with the stock ROM?
I'm a T- Mobile customer
Thanks
I have an unlocked Nextel version 4.42 of the SGH-M919Vzlmnx Baseband / modem / PDA version M919VWXUFNE2
Just updated to Kitkat on carbonrom. My phone doesn't connect to any networks so I need a modem, but the links in the stock images/kernels/ROM/modem thread over in development has broken links for me.
I would post over there asking for help but don't have enough posts and lost my old account.
Some one please re host a modem that will work for me.
Thank you so much.

All you had to do was look at the last page of images/modem thread. I even put the link in my signature so more people would see it.

Sorry about that. I checked the first page then went straight to Google.
I flashed the modem but no APNs or networks are showing up. My baseband also says unknown.
I believe I have to flash this /firmwares/3/?download=22863 (domain is sammobile)
Do I need to use Odin or can I just flash it in TWRP? Will I need to reinstall my ROM after that?
Sorry for my ignorance. Thanks.

Did you download the correct version of carbon?
I'm using DN3 from AT&T forum and working fine and still on 4.1.2 bootloader (with agni kernel).
If you download that from sammobile, you will be on 4.3 bootloader... and there is no going back to 4.1.2. The only reason for 4.3 is wifi working without using wifi fix or different kernel. I'll be on 4.1.2 until I have to change.
This is OP. Got my account back.
I flashed the modem (is that all you're supposed to do? No wiping any thing) and had the same issues. My IMEI is also gone.
Restored back to a previous backup and now have my IMEI, baseband, and everything working.
I re downloaded the 7/04 carbon nightly with the most recent KK gapps and I'm having the same issues.
For now I'm on my old ROM unless some one can help.

Modems are specific to device and you should never flash a modem meant for any other devices. MK7 is the most up to date modem for SGH-T889.
For now flashing MK7 modem should bring back your IMEI.

Make certain you are on the most current recovery be it CWM or TWRP or variants thereof. Also make certain you are flashing the version appropriate for your model. N7105 (Note 2 Int'l) or I317 (AT&T) would be OK for a T889 if a T889 version is not available.
Updating TWRP fixed it. Thanks, I had no idea that could cause problems.

You're welcome. It stinks being stuck with something like that.

If you flashed the stock 4.3 from sammobile in Odin, then you will be on 4.3 bootloader.
