Is there a way to display the percentage from the battery in the Asus Transformer dock?
Thanks.
I'd also like to know if this is possible. It would be nice to finally be able to customize my battery readouts to match my theme.:fingers-crossed:
So that's a 'no' then?

the officially Samsung battery pack is out wander how much thickness it will add :
"An official Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 accessory that fits to your Samsung Galaxy S II and provides additional power.
Essentially an extended battery, this power pack for the Samsung Galaxy S II has a 1300mAh capacity. Add this to the 1650mAh standard battery in the device already that gives 2950mAh. "......

sorry mods if this been posted before, couldn't find it no where posted
Actually sounds good to me but how is it supposed to work, I mean how do you add the extended Battery? does it switch automatically or do you have to manually switch it when normal bat runs out of juice? Well I know u cant answer as dont have it either but what do u guys think?
And is this anywhere confirmed to be official, I mean I could sell "official" Samsung pee myself xD.
From my understanding if you can't turn it off it will kill the internal battery very fast because it will be constantly charging and recharging at 100%.
Does anyone have more information???
i was going to buy one of theys, but i decided to get a newteck 5000Mah battery pack for 20 quid instead, glad i got it instead.
Where U get this one from?
To my understanding the extended battery pack is kind of like a mobile charging dock.
When you put it on the phone, the phone goes to the charging mode.
I just ordered one. I hope it works like that, that I can keep the extended case in my bag and if running out of juice I just hit it in the place like putting it on a dock.
Of course I have to make sure that the extended case is also charged first.

Found this for you guys. Lookin a lil large. i think i read somewhere that when the Power Pack in installed on the Galaxy S II it is about the size of a 7" Galaxy Tab (just kidding!)
Gosh that is uglyyyt !!!

I agree with Newtrent guy: http://www.newtrent.com
I don't want to put such a fugly case on the phone... So an external battery (Which isn't so big, 4 inch by 4 inch by 2 inch, slips in a pocket) connected to the phone is my "on the fly recharge" solution. I got the imp1000, 11000 mAh battery, charged my HD2 5 full times before needing to be recharged.

It actually increases the size to about the Dell Streak from what I see. The Tab is a little too big! haha
external battery is much better, get one which can charge multiple devices like notebooks etc. You'd only have to bring one external battery for both phone and notebook device needs
RE: killing the battery because of charging/recharging at 100%.... is this still true? Because I thought / heard somewhere that the newest generation lithium batteries are less prone to that kind of fragility. Over maybe a year... sure... but how fast is "fast" when talking about killing a battery by charging it on full charge?

pre-ordered and still waiting it to deliver
I am actually now thinking about cancelling it and thinking about some other options to longer the batterylife in special needs.
I have dock at home and work so no worries here but then if have a long day at bar etc then I might need more juice on the road..
Hmm, any phone should shame if it wont make it a full day tho. Kinda makes me wonder why this sgs2 eats bats this fast.
Is this piece is available for purchase?
Am I the ONLY one who has one right now?
Looks good and cool!

There are some extended batteries that can be used without an extended case. Check the accessories section (hinting where this should belong )

get an oem samsung epic TOUCH battery. its rated at 1800 so it'll give you a def boost. yes it fits our epics
How is the battery life on your phone? Do you know of any options like extended battery pack for this version of the phone?
Thanks
The battery is the same as any other gnex. After the battery has settled I get about 60 percent usage a day while at work. You can always buy additional batteries.
The gnex nfc chip is on the battery so you need to make sure the replacement has it as well or your nfc will stop working

Just my spare change.
Try clock evolution. Does time, weather, battery, etc
Battery Monitor Widget
That's what I use. It has a few different battery tools in it, and several different widget options.

None that I've seen that can compete with the OEM extended, which doesn't really add much size

ok after checking some extensive searching there are actually quite a few for the galaxy nexus... but aside from mugen that costs 44 dollars... there are no definite positive reviews on the others... anyone have suggestions?
here are a couple iv seen
qcell
hyperion
anker
adida
Anker is probably the best of the bunch but aftermarket batteries tend to over rate their batteries but in the real world they perform just the same as the stock one. I say either get the OEM extended battery with/cover or just stick with the OEM one and find a long lasting battery kernel. GL
Do the dremel mod. I have the Verizon extended with the stock back on. I used 100 grit sandpaper and it took me all of five minutes. Works great

Which kernel is that
And what exactly did you do?

Just sand down where the extended battery sits until it fits right

i actually tried quite a few kernels currently on james bond kernel... while i admit its very helpful... i still feel i need a little more juice out of my phone... so thats why im looking at other options.
bump.

Like others have said, I recommend the OEM extended battery, even if it does need a new cover. It is barely noticeable, rounding out the phone even more. All you lose is the lip at the bottom.

is there really no other option? i like my nexus the way it is thin wise...

but what if the "fake" ones provide the same battery life (if not more) for lesser price??
I got 3 2000 mAH batteries along with a charger also for just 10$... and they are working perfectly!!! and its the same size as that of the stock battery!! so no need to get a different back door!!

My point is the fake ones don't give any more battery life than stock lol
Same wasn't a comment I made....I'd prefer OEM over generic as their performance and longevity are not as good.

Ya! My point is fake ones give the same (or more) battery life as the stock for a lesser price! So why not go for that!
As for longevity is concerned, i think it should be fine! How long are u thinking abt? Planning to keep the same phone for 5-10yrs?
This extra battery for my galaxy nexus i have had for just 3 months... So i can't comment! But i had similar ones for my nexus s for 1.5 yrs and they functioned perfectly! I have sold them along with the nexus s to a friend and she still uses them without any issues! So i think of u can get 1yr of extra battery life asking with an extra charger for under 10$, then go for it!
