HI everyone. I just did a reset of my phone through the menu to get it back to factory and now it is stuck at the Nokia logo every time I boot it up. I have reset it with the pinhole and power button a few times. Nothing has helped. Any help? Thanks.

I think you need to flash your phone again, it will solve the problem.

Super. How do I do that? thank you very much for the reply. I would LOVE to get this phone working again.
It's a fault in software. Most people report that after full battery discharge the phone enter "the limbo" with endless and vicious reboot cycle.
I'm investigating if it is possible to repair using the ATF box.

I've asked the ATF Nitro http://www.advance-box.com/ (web form) and got no answer.
I'm thinking they are the only ones who can fix the issue.

Try hard reset first. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3263295&postcount=4
Bootloader http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2191093&postcount=16
Now on bootloader you can only use your official 6.0 rom from Rogers . You can get it here.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381726

thanks,
there is no responce in anyway, i mean for the hard reset process, even when i connect it to the power supply -e.g. for charging- there is no leds turned on.
on the other hand, the Rogers ROM is the one that i tried to upgrade with; and it stuck at 3% then turned dead.
now it is with no power sign of any.
any further suggestions please??

Hey people,
A friend of mine is getting a white screen on his Galaxy Y, can't do anything with it. Even a hard reset (as found on the internet) doesn't work. (Hard reset being holding volume up, center button and power button).
Does anyone have experience with this problem?

Thats NOT a hard reset! Pull the battery, and insert it again. Now do your "hard reset". As in, holding volume up+home+power key together until you see the Samsung logo. Do a data wipe and restart. If that doesnt work, search for flashable firmware packages in the Development section. If that doesn't work either, replace your phone.
Hey guys,
Thank you both for your replies.

Stating what happened: He just suddenly had a white screen, unable to do anything with the phone. Rebooting, pulling the battery etc. didn't do anything.
Your second option didn't work either unfortunatly.

Sorry about that, I just read in about this phone, since it's not mine, and I already forgot about the second part.
Unfortunately, neither of this works. Every boot method gets him a white screen. Since he rooted his phone about a week ago, looks like he's going to need a new one.

try flashing the ROM using Odin from the PC
Might Odin be the same as Samsung Kies in dutch? Or is this an external program?
Assuming it's this program: http://odin-win.sourceforge.net/
Now how does this work? I've been flashing my phone for quite a while now, but I'm not familiar with this program. Can I just download a ROM (stock) from the developers part here?

My friend tried everything you people suggested, but nothing worked. He just had an expert look at it and it's just totally bricked. Gotta buy a new one. Thanks for trying anyway!
Sorry for bringing this up again, but I kinda feel sorry when people brick their devices. Yours doesnt have to be a brick. Read this. The instructions are on the first page. There's a link to Odin too. Hope for the best!

Hi, my dad's GN got the update notification for jellybean, and he told me he carried on with the update, and then he said something happened, maybe the update process got interrupted and now sometimes it doesnt start up and other times it might just go into safe mode.
How can I reinstall the OS as I think it is corrupted?
Thanks...

No, can we do a hard reset while the phone is in safe mode?
I am abroad so i cant get hold of the p[hone :/
also is there a way to hard reset the phone if it does not boot up, any programs(like flashtool for xperia devices) ?
i think the software should be installed again as it is corrupted and so a factory reset might not help, is there a way to reinstall the os?
thanks for any feedback...

I can get into recover, download mode, or the rom boot screen but phone turns off right after. It won't stay on long enough to change roms or backup anything. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do? Thanks in advance
Can't not can...stupid tablet won't let me edit.
Please Specify your Rom and Kernel. If on Stock, do a factory reset.

I'm on Cyanogenmod with stock Kernel from Cyanogenmod, never changed my kernel. It was working fine for months then just rebooted on its own and won't stay on since. Unfortunately I'm stock and I'm not even sure it will stay on long enough to do anything to it.Its also not the battery. This video shows exactly whats happening to mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J61jghxz-Vc
If it can stay stable in Download mode, then you can Odin Flash Root66. Once that's done, flash recovery again and the Rom.

That's the problem I can't. Is there any other options. I'm not worried about backups or anything I just want it fixed.
The video points to Recovery only. Have you tried to boot into Download mode (the kind that has yellow triangle and Downloading message ) ?

Yeh I've tried recovery and download. Neither one stays on for more than 5 seconds and in download mode after clicking up to go into download mode the phone restarts.
Could be hardware, could be softbrick. Can you try the De-Bricking thread's instructions ?

I'm beginning to think its a hardware problem. I got it to boot into recovery long enough to factory reset, load a new rom, and gapps. I rebooted and it loaded for a few seconds and turns off. It booted again and went to the optimizing apps screen then shut off before it could finish. Does this sound like it could be a software problem?

I got the phone to boot into cyanogenmod but in the set up screen it failed again. Really getting annoying and I can't figure out how to fix it.
Pull battery. Then put it back. Does it try to turn on by itself? Could be the power button issue many others have had.

YES thats it I was thinking there might be a problem with the power button...Is there a fix on this or a thread anywhere?
There have been many threads posted with this issue, and some did manage to just buy the part and fix themselves. No instructions though thst I'm aware of.
I'd suggest you google galaxy s3 or t999 teardown.

Found a few posts and people just thump around the general area of the power button and that seems to be a temporary fix and it worked for me for a little while. It's gonna work long enough to revert everything to stock and send in. Thanks you two for your help
I had to do a factory reset on my Gemini wifi/4g android and now it is looped in an endless reboot... tried a long press of ESC and also ESC+sidebutton but nothing worked.
Any hint?

Just in case someone will eventually face the same issue: solution is to flash again firmware : http://support.planetcom.co.uk/index.php/Android_Flashing_Guide
I thought that it was not going to admit the process of flashing in this status , but it does.
