hey i just realized that my s3 has a part of the screen with a brown spots,i attached a photo...I would like to know how to fix it please
That's screen burn in. No fix except to replace the screen. That's one of many reasons white background apps suck.

I noticed today an artifact that appears on my screen. It is very easy to see of I use an app with a white background. I let the screen turn off. I turn on the screen and a couple of seconds after unlocking the screen I see a small orange starburst that fades in and after a second or two it fades out and is gone. The phone has not been dropped nor abused at all. Does this sound like an internal issue that I should be looking at getting my phone replaced? It is bear the too of the screen.

it sounds like the lcd screen is cracked. (hence the orange color) You don't have to drop your phone for this to happen, you could lean against something, or even from having it in your pocket if you put to much pressure against it.
Unfortunately your only real choice would be to get the screen replaced at the sprint store.
Well after further investigation I think it mat be some left over artifact of the sprint logo eventhough my phone is rooted with custom splash and boot screens. I scrolled my desktop and looked at this where the background was black. When I look at it on a black background it looks yellow and not orange and it looks a lot like the end of sprint logo that brightens and dims.

Alright.. well to start off I know what caused this issue; so I'm not looking for a 'fix'. Just a detailed explaintion from anyone who knows enough about the SAMLODED screen.
Playing airsoft with an Epic is a VERY bad idea; I don't ever recommend it. I left it in my pocket..and it got hit screen first so now there is a purple mark spanning out from the bottom right of the screen (where it got hit) and is completely black at the point of impact.
Was looking so see what actually happened to the screen to cause this. Why is it purple and not some other color..What 'broke' inside causing a purple 'glob' if you will.. to be inside my screen.
Hello, I have searched the forum for someone with a similar problem to mine but I cant find any info anywhere.
I cracked my screen by throwing my phone at a radiator It still worked and was nice and bright with cracked screen.
I have now installed two screen's off ebay from diffrent suppliers which are dull and pinkish in colour when the phone is turned on. I have tried to turn up the brightness but it has no affect on the screen.
Can anyone please help or come across this before. Surely I have not had two bad screens?
regards
Nick

It is far to dark to use. I think its just these cheap chinese screens that aint up to the job. Going to try and find a propper htc one.
Did you originally have an AMOLED and these are LCD?
There is a blue tinted 'smear' in the left center of my phone. I removed my screen protector and realized it wasn't a smudge. It's the screen itself. It doesn't appear in screen shots either. It's apparent with white background.
I also noticed increasingly more dark shadows in my screen when pitch black screens or loading screens show up. They're hard to describe. It's like seeing a lcd with bleeding light but in various smears or shapes.
I've had this since I got the phone on launch day but since then I've noticed the number increase.
I thought maybe I've banged it too much or pressure in my pocket. But I never keep anything in my pocket with my phone besides my leather wallet occasionally. I also had a flip cover too which makes it weirder.
This is a samsung screen thing...most amoled screens have this... I belive its the glue or somthing...if u turn ur screen all the way down and use a screen filter to lower the brightness even more.. it should show up on blacks...there is a thread somewhere buried in qna with same issue.

Can u take a pic of your phone....like not screen shot but whith a different device?
So, for the last month i can see a purple brush-like dot in the middle of my screen. It can only be seen in dark backgrounds like black or grey. The problem is that in the meantime, i got the hairline screen crack by holding the tablet in my pocket while sitting down, so i don't think it should fall under physical damage since it's more of a design flaw.
Basically if i get my nexus 7 to my local service saying that the tablet has the purple dot problem, can it be replaced without taking into account the screen crack that appeared after the purple dot?
Also, if the screen is broken what parts will i need to manually fix it and will it require some more advanced knowledge?
