Hi,
is there any way of setting the cpu frequency at 1000mhz instead of ~800mhz in bada permanently? or even overclock the cpu?
best regards

but that is only temporary and as soon as you launch an application, like the browser or other (can't remember) it resets to 800mhz

Hello All,
Can anyone give me a proper procedure of how to use the Incredicontrol app? I downloaded the app from the market and checked the posts on the forum. I read it shows two lists with the + & - signs to set the min and max temp. but in my app I can only see the one list with + & - signs and I am not able to get how to set the temp. Please help.. I have attached the screenshot.. Please go through it...
I am with XperiaMod6 with DooMKernel v19.
to undervolt, use that - for All.
it decreases 25. do it again and apply to see how far you can go, yet stable .

Sorry I didnt get u...
I knw that it is for undervolting. I just want to know y my app looks different than that specified on the forum? What do all those nos. mean? are those different frequencies?

This app shows you voltages each frequency.
Why different....its simple and working app.

I have tried it...
Try undervolting it with -100 on all... That is stable on mine and then apply the settings

Wow....-100 All....and stable?

Better try -50mV at first.
Mine was stable from -100mV to -200mV and after 4 months with oc I had to go back to -75mV to -175mV.

Yes -100 and no overclock works great for me.... And my battery life is pretty good with Xperia mod v6 and doomkernel v19 and baseband 64 + patch but try with -50 to get started :-D

Im heavy user and already over -50 is unstable for me
Does anybody have any idea how to setup 2 or more voltage profiles?
ETC: Screen off voltage profile and screen on voltage profile
Makes no sense, CPU can't handle different undervolting when screen is off or on.

But why not?
If phone can handle different frequency...why not different voltages.?
If i can change voltages, then would be nice if screen off takes more -25 all frequency and if screen on then +25 to all
Why only "incredi control" voltage app works with Neo? It think wiht Arc too!?
Ummm I've been wondering about this... for a little while. Now I'm trying Incredicontrol and I'm undervolting my Arc -100mv. I'll run with that for now and see what kind of "possible problems" I may encounter if any.

But you need to reboot for the volts to apply, so for that you'd need to reboot every time you want to use your phone ???
There's a setting that sets it on boot.
Which 1 is better?? I've tried both. Cant seem to tell except that SetCpu can make diff profile than No Frills n No Frills can determent whether ur phone is in deep sleep or not.
So, my Q remains Which is better??
Thanks vokal1992
That depends on what you need. I personally like that you can have setCPU profiles for each app individually.
Ya, i'm using SetCpu 2. But to know whether ur phone is in deep sleep or not u gonna need another app like "CpuSpy". Why cant SetCpu hav deep sleep feature/option that can let us know bout our phone gone into deep sleep.
Thanks vokal1992
SetCPU as it has profiles.

But i think its originate from SetCPU So they both aren't that much of a diff But antutu has a feature that could control ur cpu power usage aka undervolt ur cpu that SetCPU dosen't hav. So thats good too
Thanks vokal1992

meh. I used all antutu free or no frills. then antutu wins yeah I know setcpu is free on XDA but play store quicker

Out of the two mentioned I prefer SetCPU, but I use SetXperia.

Is it possible to disable the second cpu core?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Kernels put the second core to sleep when not needed. I find it sleeping on mine most of the time. If are talking of disabling it totally, I'm not sure.

Yeah I kind of just wanted to disable it completely and mayne be able to turn it on and off on demand. I find it always turns the secind core on even just scrolling. What are you doing to keep it sleeping?

I flashed custom kernel, and use badass governer. Now I find my second core sleeping most of the time, and used only when higher processing power is needed.
Just now checked CPU times in System Tuner, and I realize either of the CPUs is sleeping for 87% of the time, effectively meaning that for 87% of time only one core is being used.

Actually I figured it out! im using the ktoonez kernel and if you use the ktoonsevative (dunno if I speled that right) you chanf the governor settings, look for "max cpu lock" and change it to 1...it is only 1 core.

Could you please update the thread title with [SOLVED] please.
Hey Ace 2 Users i have a question for You. Anybody know something, is it any apps in which allows we could allocate/change cpu frequency for apps.? For expample, change cpu freq in Apollo music player to 400mhz
Setcpu for root users.
No frills CPU control.

he meant if you can set different freqs for each app, not what apps can set governors(btw, we cant set min/max freq via these apps, see in roxsel kernel thread.[unless you used power saving on stock])
from what i understood, CMIIW
I have tried to use set cpu and Tasker apps... To to lock the cpu to a lower frreq during playing a specific game... But I don't know how to do it... I tried with these 2 apps... But the cpu still changing 50-1500... Sorry for my awful English.... I also want to do that because my phone get ultra hot and battery last too short way to short... I'm using magiorom

try trickster from play store...set desire freq and enable frequency lock...do this while playing games only...
Use SetCPU and make profiles to your liking.

It s to hard to do that every time I play even for 5 min my game and then to set it to max freq again

I've already told that I tried but after I open game or an app I set on setcpu it doesn't change... The freq is not changing...setcpu is not working... Idk why

i think there is no for that...
Try trickster mod, and lock cpu to 1 or 2 cores before starting the game.
