Hi guys,
Few days ago my S3 received official 4.3 android update, and weird things happening after that.
When I connect to internet, via wi-fi or data, phone automatically download a small file named "files.zip". And it happening every time I turn on wi-fi or data... I can`t find this file in downloads or anywhere else. When I try to open, it says "cannot open".
Second weird thing - browser often redirect me to a advertising or span webs. For instance, I try to open youtube.com, it opens different web with advertisement.
Anyone have an ideas how can I fix this?

He stated he can't find the file, BUT when he tries to open, it say cannot open file???? How weird is that.

You might be in the wrong forum. Your profile says you're in Lithuania, using a GSM provider there. Is that still the case?

damn your luck were still stuck on 4.1.2 if your having the issues you say you are with what sounds like maleware. have you installed anything to check phone. over here we have apps like lookout security. i kno nod makes a phone app. you could always do a factory reset back to out the box state. reinstall apps one by one to check it out. sound like you have a app with crap in it.

Factory reset helped to solve "files.zip" autodownload problem, but phone is still laggy. It takes 3-5 seconds to turn on screen when I press power button in sleep mode. Applications become laggy. I will try to reflash 4.3 via KIES, if the problem remain, back to 4.1.2 will be optimal decision.

bought my A250... but camera suddenly went off and became blank?? then i get an erro msg saying "gallery has stopped"... and then the phone hung?.. and even after successive restarts it wasnt proper?!? .. weird
any idea why this happens... of what could i do to correct it?

thats exactly what i did... seems cool for the moment...
but have read on other forums... it still pops up sooner or later?... is it a bug with the stock software... so many guys cannot keep posting this same problem right?
thats why i wana know if i should get the latest MMx version for the phone... which i've read is on this forum... what say

I just bought this cell on 10th of Feb and now I'm also suffering the same problem. The Camera doesn't open and the Gallery hangs. What's the point of boasting a 13 megapixel camera when it doesn't work?
Moreover their service here (in Mumbai) is not good. All my friends told me never to buy a Micromax mobile simply because their service sucks.
I went there twice. Still the problem persists. The person there told me it can be due to 'file transfers' or 'corrupted app files'!
Go to your nearest service center. I hope your problem gets resolved.

ok.. hear this... what timing.. i just got off the phone with a friend who had this same problem.. he went to the service center and they flashed the latest Custom build version.. it now reads
S9311_MP_IN_MMX_16_flasher_user
apparently its been weeks now.. and he hasnt got a problem... his camera has clicked over 150pics and vids.. hes all fine...
read whats in your about phone... whats your custom build version?

I went there yesterday (saturday). He formatted my cell and told me not to click fotos and turn off file transfers on apps like whatsapp for 2 days and see. So as of now, my cam is working smoothly.
On the gsmarena site, someone also had the same camera problem. He said that it can be due to Skype app. He removed the app & its working fine.

dude... mine is now 16... and beleive me it hasnt happened... mine was 15 ...
even i felt it may have been bcz of skype... but am presently using all of it.. and its fine... hope it doesnt happen...
please try to get it to 16 .. seems fixed... been whatsapping more than 10imgs a day.. and its fine...

I purchased turbo on 4th november 2013, had no issue with camara; yes auto focus is sometimes slow but manual focus works instanlty and first 2 weeks phone hangs 4-5 times, i think may be becuase of third party apps.
New update Stock Rom V4 of Micromax A250 Canvas Turbo is available, and i have installed this.

Backup ur data and apps, perform a factory reset. If the problem persists then take it to the service centre.
PS- before doing the above steps do check for updates, it might solve ur issue.

Yea I did a reset before but the problem was still there, my phone is also updated to the latest as well, I'll probably send it for a check later thanks

Nope, I bought this phone on the 19/07/14, I had the problem since first day but I wanted to check if it'll eventually get rids of the problem itself but it apparently is still there.

Yup, better get it checked.
Mine had same problem. Got motherboard replaced under warranty and problem is fixed!

how long does it take to change the mobo?
Hello. This is locked to Bell. It already got the 60% battery update a while back.
I will NOT be using this as a phone. It will be used for other purposes like outdoor remote wifi cam or something so I need the wifi working.
Is there any way to block the Wifi / Bluetooth killing update or root it and install a custom ROM ?
Again, I don't care that they blacklist the IMEI. It won't be used as a phone. Thx.

Flash a custom rom first and then flash a custom kernel. All will be back to normal :good:
I have a note 5 rooted running a note 7 rom and I keep getting the message from Samsung popping up on my phone to return it - I hope they don't disable my cellular / wifi / Bluetooth - wonder if I should flash a note 5 rom to be sure

That's not a smart idea... Very risky. I'd flash a Note 5 ROM.

Its not an issue according to me because if they have to disable cellular etc then it will be in form of a stability update to trick people. Your phone will be affected only if the developer of the note 7 rom uses a new base firmware. Since you have a note 5, they cant even disable your imei number just because you use grace ux. I would prefer deleting samsung push service, Fota update service & KLMS agent apks from root (There can be something i am missing. If so please specify). Perhaps it may stop those messages

we dont know 100% yet....there is an adb block method posted here somewhere which seems to be working on CAN devices....if they kill our imei then we have another problem

Well, what do you guys use to back everything up on the computer such that if the block indeed happens I don't end up loosing everything?

Im counting the days brother.
Laugh, told my gf her phone may not work after 15th, she almost killed me. Shes messaging me now as we speak. Telling me how much she loves Nova luncher and how cool her phone looks now.
ahah funny how she never got the sms from rogers informing of the block.
I went over to see her yesterday. Flashed her phone again, blocked everything like mine with debloater, just in case. (she didn't have anything blocked and update never was pushed suprisingly.)
Now its fishing time. Sitting quietly, waiting to see what happens.
p/s (ive been messaging few people on kijiji on imei fix, so far no luck.)

it wont wipe your device you just wont have access to the cell network,wifi or bluetooth.

I thought part of the update will disable charging? That means if the juice runs out the phone won't even turn on right? Sorry for the novice questions.

no its okay....thats what we have read...no idea what will happen...id back everything up to your ext Sd card and/or copy it to your pc

me also. .which is odd as imei repair is nothing new. makes me wonder if they are saying no for liabilites sake

Where do you upload it ?
Never seen that. Mine are auto upload to google photos and never got a problem.

No this is not uploading. It just sometime appear on the top after I take a picture. It never go the way if I don't force Close it.

I've never had that issue before but it seems it happens on some define. I did a quick search and found that others have the issue too even on the S10.
Here are a few suggested fixes. Hope one of them helps.

Just thinking, what are your settings, do you save on SD card ?
Tried to reset the camera app. settings + delete cache etc ?

Yes I have SD card and save pictures to it.i did reset camera and clear cache all of that. But no luck.
It's always important to mention your phone's model and firmware version when reporting a problem like this. Other threads about this problem say it's fixed by the ASJ8 update. Do you have that firmware yet?

So i assume that you tried to save to internal storage ? Else could be SD saving fault.

I did that too. I reset camera and change save pictures to internal storage but same thing

Hm, sorry, in that case I don't know what to suggest. (I see you do have the ASJ8 firmware.)
Same here, I got the update also. My pictures are saved to phone. I went to Carmera app and forced closed that took care of it but its definitely an issue have read about many having the same problem.

Does the problem occur in Safe Mode too?
Actually I have not tried it in safe mode. But I did see that another person having the problem did and stated that the problem was still there. Thing is, it doesn't happen with every pic[emoji848]

If you received the ota camera update, it may be that you have background battery use restricted in the camera app.
Go to settings>apps>camera>battery>toggle 'allow background activity'. Reboot. Problem solved.
