Are there any options out there that wont cause me to loose the beauty of the device, I need to protect it but like the feel of the metal in my hands...
I just got this today - http://www.ebay.com/itm/330949139388, crystal clear. Doesn't really add that much bulk and the clear case definitely preserves the beauty of the phone.
Get a metal bumper. Phone still looks beautiful and it protects the sides from a fall.

I cannot find a photo of the front, does it have a lip to protect the screen.

supcase via amazon. cheap and looks good. not going to be an otterbox, but will prevent little dings and everyday scratches. my only gripe is volume buttons hard to press, but can be fixed a bit by cutting out button areas of case.
Slickwraps. It's the best solution. I have a black carbon fiber skin with an anti-glare screen protector and it works great.

I personally think the Devilcase Aluminum bumper is a pretty good alternative. I really liked the look of the One but I'm pretty clumsy and I have a tendency to drop my phones so I got the bumper. I've dropped it a few times but the phone has held up quite nicely without any signs of damage. Oh I also have a glass screen protector for the front though, just in case.

Do the metal bumper block signal? the phone is already nearly all metal besides the side
This is what I've got on my phone at the moment. Quite minimalistic and good build quality.

Incipio Frequency
Before, i had Belkin Grip Sheer Matte /still have it/, and thought it's super thin TPU. Now the Incipio, it's much much thinner and feel of device is more "real".
Althought it's very very thin, it provides some protection for camera lens and everyday scratches. Volume buttons are maybe little stiff - but i only own this for one week, and they are becoming easier to press or I am getting used to it.
Highly recommended.

It costed me 18,75 USD + 7,99 USD (International shipping to Slovakia). Extremly fast shipping.
This is a solution / idea, i came up with yesterday.
Your phone remains naked, while camera is slightly raised from table.
What do you think ?
The clear one might look better.

Picked up one of these cases from ebay;
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/180931774909?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1503wt_770
and I have to say it, for what it's made for, is great! Now, I don't drop my phone a whole heck of a lot, so I wasn't looking for something to protect it against constant drops. What I wanted was something to protect the back/sides against scratches/nicks when it is in my pocket. And this does exactly that. It's super thin, which is noticeable when coming from other cases. The fact that it is opaque means that the design of the phone is pretty much intact. Which is great for this phone, since it is quite good looking to begin with. One added bonus, the case does have a very small lip to it which protects the screen when putting the phone down, face down.
If you are looking for an inexpensive case to do the basics(protect from scratches, minor drops, look good, have all buttons/ports easily accessible), then I would suggest this case.

FYI:
opaque: Not able to be seen through; not transparent.
transparent: Allowing light to pass through so that objects behind can be distinctly seen.
this case is semitransparent to get technical.. not opaque.

wow. 4 dollars? nothing to lose. ill post about it when i receive it.
BTW transit time from china to U.S. was an impressive 7 business days. It actually looks better in person then the picture I posted.
woah nice find! was looking for a change of case and looks like with this case, the power button is gonna be a lot easier to press than my current Belkin Sheer Grip Matte due to the fact that the plastic at the back of the case is slightly lowered where the power button is. Just ordered one for myself and one for a mate. Thanks for posting.
Thats the ONE for the ONE. I also have it and love it. Very sleek, keeps the phone looking the way it was supposed to.

Barely big enough to cover the glass screen protector. I think if it is any less then it would be without one. This doesn't add any bulge and maintains the sleek look of the phone

Correct, trim is good enough for its purpose, protection when laying flat on face. A thick trim will not protect the screen from any drop to a rock or any edge, and create a false sense of protection.
The case may feel a little loose when you first get it. I recommend heat it up with blow dryer then quickly dump it in cold water to tighten it a bit.
Does it affect the camera flash? The cutout looks close to the flash. I had a Kays case that had a similar opening and the flash reflected glare into the photos.
I just bought a similar case from Amazon which I prefer because it's transparent. However, your pics gave me an idea on how to mod the case because I don't like how there is not a cutout for the volume rocker. I started to make this mod today actually, but one of your pics shows me that I should cut further towards the back of the case which will give my fingers proper room to hit the volume rocker instead of having to use my finger nails :good:

Looks a great cover. I bought the standard fusion in black, but this one seems great in showing off the sides of the phone. But, I am worried that the side body of the cover will also get scratchy just like the back after a while..

You could try this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Minisuit-Ultr...=1386219791&sr=8-5&keywords=moto+x+clear+case
It was $4 a couple days ago
I can't personally speak for that one, but I can for these:

http://www.amazon.com/Cruzerlite-Ex...=1387406862&sr=8-7&keywords=cruzerlite+moto+x
Only the symbols/lines and sides are completely transparent, but I thought they looked nice with the custom backs. They are also very snug and solid. So tight, in fact, that you need to be very careful putting it on if you have a screen protector.
Also, it's B2G1 on those.

Good protection have dropped 2 times both glass 1st and back 1st no damage.

I bought one from Ebay and it is okay. The price was less than $5. Since I am a new member, I can't post outside links but it is called " Moto X Clear Slim TPU".
I decided not to use a case on mine. I am using a pouch and I'll use the bumper on occasion. My ideal case is a matte bumper with clear button covers.

I just bought a SUPCASE and love it for the extra protection over my Bear Motion one. Both on Amazon. The SUPCASE has a clear back with black edges. Perfect for showing off the Moto X Dev Ed Black with White back if you ask me.

There are at least 5-10 on eBay that are hard clear cases. I bought two different ones for $3 each. Look harder!
I got the "shock absorbing" screen protector from Motorola by Power Support, while it was nice it was plastic. So it didn't feel the same, fit on the device nice...but it still had a "tacky" feel like ZAGG if you've ever tried those. I've used it a few weeks, held up nice, just didn't like the feeling.

As soon as I found out MIME USA was getting one, I contacted them. I got it yesterday & installed it, instantly fell in love. Fits on device like a glove, no more "tacky" feeling screen on my device. There is 2 small "bubbles" on top/bottom right side on the device, hopefully with time they go away. Also, I think there's a small lint in the middle of the screen, hopefully it doesn't bother me too much.
Here are some images of it installed:
Overall both are awesome screen protectors, but the glass on the MIME USA will always win me over. If you have any questions about it let me know & I will do my best to answer them

Thanks! Seems to protrude no more than the protectors from Moto's site.
In the MIME specific thread, several members are complaining about poor fitment. Looking at the pics in your album, fitment seems to be spot on.

You really can't see it from the pictures. I'm not saying "Don't get one", but unless you have a bulker case, in my situation--a Supcase--then it won't work that well.
