I got the "shock absorbing" screen protector from Motorola by Power Support, while it was nice it was plastic. So it didn't feel the same, fit on the device nice...but it still had a "tacky" feel like ZAGG if you've ever tried those. I've used it a few weeks, held up nice, just didn't like the feeling.

As soon as I found out MIME USA was getting one, I contacted them. I got it yesterday & installed it, instantly fell in love. Fits on device like a glove, no more "tacky" feeling screen on my device. There is 2 small "bubbles" on top/bottom right side on the device, hopefully with time they go away. Also, I think there's a small lint in the middle of the screen, hopefully it doesn't bother me too much.
Here are some images of it installed:
Overall both are awesome screen protectors, but the glass on the MIME USA will always win me over. If you have any questions about it let me know & I will do my best to answer them

I'm surprised there was no questions or anything, I saw a lot of posts on the other thread.

Can you get us a picture from the side of the phone without a case on so we can see how far the protector protrudes from the glass surround?

In the MIME specific thread, several members are complaining about poor fitment. Looking at the pics in your album, fitment seems to be spot on.

You really can't see it from the pictures. I'm not saying "Don't get one", but unless you have a bulker case, in my situation--a Supcase--then it won't work that well.

Yes, those of you who had one for your old Galaxy S2, it's now available for the Note. I consolidated a bunch of orders in my country and these will belong to a bunch of crazy cats who were willing to pay a hefty amount for this screen protector.
This protector is slightly thinner than the old 3M Estoc+ on the SGS2, but the surface is a lot slicker. Scotchtape could not even stick properly to it for me to lift it up to remove dust. The surface feels FANTASTIC! It's matte, yet it's glossy as seen in the photo. I know there are other protectors in the market, but this is still my favourite one.
No rainbow effect, glossy clarity, and matte feel, this is why this thing is the best protector IMO. You can find this protector in gmarket, go to the co.kr version and change to the English site.
http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challe...pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=3m+estoc++note
That's the link for anyone that wants it, I certainly don't understand it too well.
I will keep my eyes for it, too. It looks really nice! Does it at all mess with the image clarity? I had those Matte screen protectors and felt great to the touch, but readability was HORRIBLE.

Most of the time the clarity is affected by the horrendous rainbow effect for the lesser matte screen protectors. The rainbow effect is nearly invisible, and I would say it's even negligible. I can't see it in a white screen, maybe some can. This is why I swear by this protector, because the screen is clear like a gloss screen protector, but has the matte feel. You can say it's like an improved and better SGIPEN Ultra Optics.
Vulpix, missed the order. Any extras?
thanks for highlighting this screen protector as the best out there

Where did you buy this case?
As i have now tried 3 different screen protectors i can say this:
ZAGG/KINGFISH: both sold by car phone warehouse are no good.
Zagg is a flimsy piece of skin which once fitted is not even smooth. Your finger will not slide on the screen and it makes the view on the screen quite poor as well.
Kingfish is a Matt type screen. Its smooth but also covers the front camera and goes beyond the beveled edge of the phone making it easy to collect dust. Viewing is not very good and i suspect covering the sensors won't do any good either
Positive: Protex
Sold by phones4u and online. Cheap when compared with the above and easy to fit. (I always use droplets of water to fit as it eliminates dirt and little dust fibres to the minimum)
Easy to slide the finger on, does not cover the sensors or cameras.
Rock screen protector: similar to protex, a bit wider and same quality. Highly recommended to the point that i have cancelled the original protectors that Samsung will bring out later in the month.
Overall if you want something that will be good and not disrupt the feel and view, the 2 above ones are ideal. I'm sure there will be other more or less expensive but i won't be testing any new ones.

Are Protex and Rock wet or dry protectors? Do they stretch to the edges of the phone? Or are the edges exposed?
The eyes are slightly exposed about 2mm.
They are not soft protectors and that makes them very good. No glare or other issues. Zagg is a soft one and the most problematic one.
When you say wet or dry i suspect you mean needing to use spray water to apply. Both rock and protex do not need water to apply but using it makes it much easier to apply

Wet application screen protectors
I originally got a dry application screen protector (the ones with the sticky stuff) as an interim measure. After a few days it did start peeling up slightly on the edges as the screen is curved on the edges. I then ordered an XtremeGuard protector (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/23080181...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_3744wt_1396) which is a wet application one. It has been sooooo good. Since it is wet application it is alot more flexible and can hence handle the curved edges. Also the XtremeGuard protectors don't suffer from the 'lemon-peel' effect of other wet application screen protectors.
Not saying anything bad against other screen protectors, more just sharing my experience with some screen protectors.
Gear4 Case vs. Case-mate
Hi,
Your Gear4 case looks very nice and pricing is reasonable.
Do you have any experience with the Case-mate barely there cases and how it compares to your Gear4 case?
Thanks
I was looking for a anti-fingerprint screen protector and i stumbled upon this case, it looks amazing, not sure if anyone has this one already and can give us a quick review, its called Nillkin.
Here is the link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Newest-HT...rd-Shell-Cover-Screen-Protector-/370808049120
Im going to order one and give you guys a quick review, it ship almost everywhere around the world, free and fast delivery in the UK and its only £8.00, very reasonable, it also comes with a screen protector so it might be worthy.
Looking forward to some feedback.
here are some photos.
Edit: just placed my order, might get it by mid week next week since its already weekend. will give some review once i got it

I've got one in black and its an awesome case, i'd say a better fit and more durable than the casemate cases too.
Two questions before I buy this case:
1) Is there a cut out for the power button or is there an actual button on the case for it?
2) Do these hard shells not damage the phone at all?
Absolutely love this case. Almost looks like the phone was made that way. Doesn't offer the best protection, but if you just care about protecting the back, this is of the best and best looking.

1. its a cut out, look at the ebay post to see more photos
2. i THINK these are high quality plastic, it should not damage the phone
I too have a white nillkin case and their grey flip.
Only problem with the flip is the case is too close to the headphone port, so I have a kld oscar 2 on back order to fix this.
Plus I love the black monolith look, reminds me of the film 2002 a space odyssey.

I just got this today - http://www.ebay.com/itm/330949139388, crystal clear. Doesn't really add that much bulk and the clear case definitely preserves the beauty of the phone.
Get a metal bumper. Phone still looks beautiful and it protects the sides from a fall.

supcase via amazon. cheap and looks good. not going to be an otterbox, but will prevent little dings and everyday scratches. my only gripe is volume buttons hard to press, but can be fixed a bit by cutting out button areas of case.

I personally think the Devilcase Aluminum bumper is a pretty good alternative. I really liked the look of the One but I'm pretty clumsy and I have a tendency to drop my phones so I got the bumper. I've dropped it a few times but the phone has held up quite nicely without any signs of damage. Oh I also have a glass screen protector for the front though, just in case.

Incipio Frequency
Before, i had Belkin Grip Sheer Matte /still have it/, and thought it's super thin TPU. Now the Incipio, it's much much thinner and feel of device is more "real".
Althought it's very very thin, it provides some protection for camera lens and everyday scratches. Volume buttons are maybe little stiff - but i only own this for one week, and they are becoming easier to press or I am getting used to it.
Highly recommended.

It costed me 18,75 USD + 7,99 USD (International shipping to Slovakia). Extremly fast shipping.
This is a solution / idea, i came up with yesterday.
Your phone remains naked, while camera is slightly raised from table.
What do you think ?
The clear one might look better.
John.
Is there a skin available to cover the hinge portion of the Z Fold 2 ? Just looking for the hinge area..
I would imagine that won't end up being a thing because when the fold is open, the hinge disappears inside the phone meaning there may not be enough clearance for a skin on the hinge. Also, you wouldn't want the skin to somehow come off inside the phone while it's open. That being said, I understand where you're coming from and would love some hinge protection.
I have a transparent thin film on the hinge. So far has not been a problem. Its really super thin to create any issues i think. My thinking: samsung care plus wouldn't cover scratches on the hinge and this phone is too precious to have any, but they do cover hinge issues like squeaky hinge or any permanent hinge issues, so IF anything develops which i highly doubt, care plus it is...

I purchased these and received them this weekend. They actually sent 10 of them even though I purchased four. It took me three tries to get it right, I kept getting the edges too low at the top or bottom. If I didn't have 10 of them I probably wouldn't have tried it the third time. But it came out pretty much perfect. It wraps around the edges and seems like it might catch when opening but it doesn't at all. Overall I'd recommend this. Excuse some pock lint.
