Id like to get a custom rom installed onto my tab 3 and like what I've read about one. Is there a way to check for compatibility?

If there is a compatible ROM for your device, there should be a thread in the device forum for your device

Hi all
I am new to Samsung galaxy note 2( But not to custom ROMS) ... Wanted to install Phoenix ROM but didnt release there would be a thing called EFS backup. I think I screwed up my Note 2 now. Installed a european version of Samsung rom,but my sim is still not being identified . I am getting a different IMEI number than the one mentioned below the battery. Is there a way to fix this? If I Install the latest Indian ROM would that resolve the issue? Please let me know! I need this phone like hell!

look for some thread by a user called drkeaton in the same forum section I think it's heading is along these lines ROOT GUIDE TO NOTE II FLASHING or RECOVERING IMEI just along these lines it's a very nice guide or just contact him via private message and he may send you the web link directly don't do anything stupid before you go through his guide else you may loose your phone calling section and data connection capability forever

hi everybody,
i bought a samsung galaxy s4 mini
and i later realized it was a grade one replica
i want to put a custom os (cm mod) on it
the problem is i cannot enter into download mode
can anyone help?
i will be gratefull
If it's replica, it's not Samsung. It has different hardware configuration, so you can't use S4 mini software.
You have to search under real device name.

There should be your current model number, but i doubt that there are any root guides for it. Of course you could be lucky and just have an older device. Besides i think its possible to fake the model number. Where do you got the replica?

Hm, these look okay (although the kernel build date looks a bit weird but i cant compare it since im on CM).
What you can try is to dial *#1234# and post a screenshot of it, if thats not possible just look out for values like 9190 or 9192 or 9195. If *#1234# does not work you are on somekind of non-samsung software.
His model says GT-I9190. The kernel looks suspicious though but as he mentioned it was a grade one replica so the maker could've just used a custom model number.
yeah i got it with the *#1234#
droid pro not booting
hi
my pro was working fine on cm ( 2.3.7) but without the play store
so i tried unrooting with the z4root app
after it was done, i restarted the phone and it stucks at the motorola logo
please can any one help?
i booted into recovery and wiped cache but no change
i factory reset also in the recovery mode but still it still stucks.
please can anyone help
I am assuming you are still referring to your grade one replica of the S4 Mini here, upon which you successfully rooted and install CyanogenMod?
You have to flash CM again and this time also flash the appropriate GApps.
If you are using CM10.2 then get 20130813. CM10.1 then get 20130812

Good day Khotaghora, please note the following instructions worked for me after many hours of banging my head off brick walls and flashing different roms including going back to the latest stock from sammobile.
Make sure you remove the current gear manager.
Download and copy the following gear manager http://twosx.net/xdadev/Gear/1.7.031004/com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager_1.7.031004.apk to your device. Note, I have not supplied this, from what I can gather it was ripped off the s5 sources, thanks go to Omniwolf for supplying the apk's on XDA.
Ensure in your phones settings under security you have unknown sources ticked.
Install the apk, usually just click on the downloaded file from your favorite browser.
Make sure you have Bluetooth turned on.
I'm not sure if you need to, but at this point I paired the Gear2 with my phone, it will pair as a handsfree device oh the irony.
When you run the manager it will look completely different from the old image asking you to sync, I could see the device at the top of the screen, clicking on it fired up both the watch and the manager.
Good luck with your new device, here is hoping dev's start porting some apps to the Gear2, the store is looking a bit bare at the moment.
Hi trickyburn. Thanks a lot for explaining this into detail. I can confirm that I have managed to get the Gear 2 Neo working with my S4 following your instructions. I actual posted your URL on another forum and some more people have benefited from your post. I wish Samsung had released the latest version of Gear Manager before the release of Gear 2.
Cheers,
KhotaGhora
Check your versions before applying any old s5 based fix, the version 2 gear manager is based on 4.4.2 API's so wont work. the above mentioned 1.7.031004 does work on 4.3 however
4.4.2 based roms might be able to use the updates from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2677686
However note I have not tested these as i'm on 4.3 stock at the moment

Hi
Can you please give me a hand finding a link to the stock Rom for Galaxy tab 3 8" so that I can restore my tablet back to default setup, I could find practically every ROM under the sun but I cannot find the United Kingdom variant
Please Help
Miko
The closet i could find is this..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2547412
bin droid - it's stock rom OC to 1.8 but with aroma installer so u can remove bloatware.
You could install this and remove nothing and install non of the addons and be pretty close to stock.

I'm hoping to restore the tablet to factory stock! So ideally I need a link to the official Samsung UK ROM and as I said I can find every variant but not UK.
As a last resort! What would happen if I installed a Different countries ROM on my tablet ? Would it just not be compatible?
www(.)sammobile.com/firmwares/
just enter your model number and region on the webpage.
If you're flashing official stock rom, it doesn't matter what country it is, there could be just different bloatware.

If it's Wi-Fi model, T310 see here - http://fileom.com/2p6cexm0dxnw/T310XXUAMF1_OXXAMF1_BTU_UK_Android_4.2.2.zip.html
I mirrored it to Google Drive as well, see links in my sig.

Download that and checked the CSC. By default it is set to NEE (Sweden) so thats not the BTU (UK) version.
It seems to work OK though. Better than the custom Rom I've had. Any implications in terms of updates and stuff like that as a result of potentially having a NON UK variant of the software?

I recently got my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 (SM-T325) from HK, and it came with the latest firmware already (T325XXU1ANB6). I've watched a youtube video before, demonstrating how to activate mutiple users on the Tab Pro 8.4. However, I can't find it in the settings at all (Settings 》General). Has this feature been removed in the latest firmware update (and might possibly be region-dependent)?

actually...its a pretty easy fix. If u only want that one feature then just root your device, edit your build prop by adding the line fw.max_users=5 (could probably use any number) to the very bottom, save & reboot...i have created a custom rom with it already enabled as well as a few more features i'm sure u will enjoy so i'll link to it below
