I just updated Swiftkey, and then the back softkey stopped working, so I rebooted. Now there is no keyboard on my lock screen, and just a gray keyboard-sized rectangle with a microphone icon in the middle. So I can't type my password to log in! And I tried saying my password, but it is not reacting at all to anything I say even though it seems to be awaiting voice input.
Rebooted into safe mode, but that didn't help.
Any ideas short of factory restore?

maybe you can plug your otg keyboard and unlock with it.
It should work, because I can use otg mouse to unlock pattern screen lock.

Yesterday my phone freaked out and the lock screen turned in to a white screen with no input box only an emergency call button, I was using knock. I ended up clearing the phone out and started from scratch so I wiped data, but now when I select knock and lock the phone, it quickly prompts the type in your pin then opens.
Anyone seen anything like this?
Edit
Actually any lock screen I select does what I described above other than swipe

Did someone try to enter your phone multiple times? Maybe this is how the phone locks them (or you...) out. After a number of unsuccessful attempts, the phone will prompt you for the unlock pin you set as a failsafe.

Well first I noticed the phone wasnt really locking, it would flash to the back up pin lock then flash away, and it did that many times before the screen just went white. I rebooted, cleared cache, I was unable to adb to it. I ended up clearing everything and starting from scratch.
Its really odd, only the swipe lockscreen works.
Hello!
Is there any way possible to access the data I had on my phone? I have the lock screen passcode on, and the screen is all crushed. USB debugging mode has always been off for me.
Thanks in advance!
Touch is still working. I just somehow like entered the emergency mode and I can hear the dial pad tones. I can try entering the pattern now, but I don't remember if I had to like swipe after pressing the power button or double tapping the screen or it was just the code straight away after pressing the power button or tapping the screen, could someone please help me with the two options as how they work and also just send screenshot of the lock screen with pass code on so I have the idea about it and all?
EDIT : I managed to pull the lock away!! Yayy!
Okay, so suddenly when I use my finger print it is asking for my PIN. When I input the PIN the screen turns black and my lock screen simply reappears. So I use my PIN or finger print again and it turns black again and brings me back to my lock screen again.
Now and again previously to today after using my fingerprint it would ask me for my PIN occasionally That's not unusual. This time however it just goes black and kicks me back to my lockscreen. I proceed to repeat the process and same issue.
I can't access my phone via PC either since I can't change the settings for file transfer on the lock screen. Just wants my credentials again.
I forget which rom I am on since I can't get into download mode or recovery.
Any ideas? This may sound like a dumb question, but since this is never happened before, is there another way to reboot my phone without having the ability to access my reboot options? Holding down on power does nothing.
Okay, so on a hunch I long pressed the power button for two minutes. It ended up rebooting and when it loaded some of my app icons were grayed out and I got the message "App Not Installed" when I tried to open any of the grayed apps up. I rebooted again and everything is back to normal.
Also, when I plugged my phone back into my PC I got the authorization prompt again to allow connections and it fixed my device not showing in ADB. Does this key expire sometimes?
Just wanted to let everyone know the issue seems to be fixed. Well, for now.
My screen has failed. Started with a black area covering 80% of the screen, centered on the middle (of course) - with a ring of working pixels around the outside. Over a short time, the working pixels declined, until there are literally none left now.
The phone still works. Everything but the screen. I can start it, shut it down, and it connects to wifi. My problem is I want to access the phone before I return to OnePlus for repair (still in-warranty). There are lots of files I want to access.
When I attach a USB-C to HDMI cable to my monitor, I see some sort of lock screen thats not part of the phone normally. The in-screen fingerprint sensor in this case is a MAJOR drawback - if it was the old touch one on the back, I could unlock and control the phone on my monitor. Without a functioning screen, the backlight for fingerprint is useless.
So I need to figure out where the keypad entries are. Could somebody send me a couple of screenshots of the first screen after you press the power button to wake it up? and then another screen shot of the keypad after you swipe up to get to the keycode entry?
I'm virtually certain if I can unlock the phone before I attach to USB-C to HDMI, I will be able to access the phone.
Thank you so much! Yes - the tactile response works, so I just need to know what the screen looks like at those several crucial moments before the keypad code is entered after the fingerprint.

Thank you very much! I was able to get into my phone. The USB-C to HDMI works fine - as long as the phone is not locked. With the screenshot I was able to get in, make my backups, and restore to factory default for shipment to OnePlus. Appreciated...
Hi all, I noticed this the other day, my Mi Pad 5 keyboard is stuck on CAPS. It doesn't matter whether the light on the Caps Lock button is on or off, the input registers as CAPS. If I try typing a number off the top row, it registers the corresponding symbol, e.g. if I type "2", it comes up as "@". In addition the Space Bar doesn't work.
I've detached and reattached the keyboard, and rebooted the Pad 5.
Any other ideas? It can't be just me, right?

I've tried a different (Bluetooth) keyboard and that works fine. This is the one that attaches via the pogo pins. Maybe I've hit a combination of keys which has put it into Caps Lock mode, but then the Caps Lock light would be on permanently I think?

yes it would be maybe check the pogo pins maybe there is something wrong for example it being dirty or something maybe clean the pins on the keyboard itself
It's weird. Cleaned the pins on the keyboard and the tablet. For a while I could get lower case letters if I had Caps Lock on, but I still couldn't get numbers. Now it's reverted so I can't get lower case letters. At no stage was I able to get the Space Bar to work. I think I'll reset it and see how that goes.
