Odin back to 4.2 (Not 4.3 becuase of knox stuff). Use this thread for help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258628&highlight=stock
Then flash your rom back. Or flash a specific 4.4 rom do not try to OTA.

[Q] Phone Gets Stuck When Turning On

Hello, a weird incident happened today. I have had my phone replaced once, but since getting my phone back I've had little problems. Yesterday whenever I tried to turn on my phone it went through the Samsung logo, but then it went to the Samsung Galaxy S2 logo thingy and the bar filled to about 98% and then the phone froze. So I took out the battery and the phone powered on normally. But today it stopped at about 98% again and it stopped. So I took out the battery and tried to power the phone on but it did the exact same thing. I did this at least 20 times and I tried various things such as blowing, and taking out the SIM card, and charging the phone and then trying to turn it on. But lastly I went on galaxys2root.com and went to the T-Mobile unroot to Jellybean section, downloaded the .zip file for odin and the Jellybean software and I tried to flash the firmware. The process was successful but when I tried to turn on the phone it passed the Samsung logo, then went to the Samsung Galaxy S2 logo, but there was no bar and then the screen went black. How do I fix this?

Have you flashed a custom ROM on the phone? Or did you just root it?

No, my phone isn't running custom recovery or rooted. I installed JB off Kies.

After a long while I was able to fix it. I just downloaded the ROMs off of the galaxys2root.com website, and I eventually fixed the problem.

[Q] Stuck on CyanogenMod 11 Bootloader

I recently installed CyanogenMod 11 on my S3 about a month ago. Yesterday, I got a notification on my phone stating that an update was available for CyanogenMod. I let it install and when the phone rebooted, it was stuck on the bootloader for at least an hour or two. I figured that I must've bricked the phone. I can still get into recovery mode and download mode.
So, I tried to reinstall the stock AT&T GS3 ROM as I had never particularly liked CyanogenMod. I thought this would be a great time to reinstall the stock ROM. I factory reset the phone and flashed the stock ROM (which I downloaded from another thread) using Odin. It automatically rebooted, the Samsung logo flashed for a second and the CyanogenMod bootloader showed up and it has not gone away since. So, what have I done wrong here and is there a way to save my phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Where did you get the ROM you flashed? Did your phone have the 4.3 bootloader? What about Knox?
If your phone has the 4.3 bootloader, you cannot flash the 4.3 ROM via Odin as it was never released as a complete ROM, only as an update. THis might help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658486

[Q] Stuck at boot when updating to KK

Hello everyone, this is my first post and pretty much a cry for help.
So I'm not new to the whole rooting scene, as I did many things on my old S3, but I'm having a bit of trouble with my note 3.
I had rooted my device about a week after I got it to remove some bloatware. Flashed some ROMs to try out but ended up back on stock firmware which removed root but didn't really care. Tried to update yesterday and got the whole "you're device has been modified" thing. So I rooted again and downloaded xposed installer and that app to fake system to not get that message. Everything seemed fine, got the update and started downloading. Once it finished downloading and tried updating, I got a failed to update message then back to home screen. Went on some forums and read Kies was working for people who had rooted phones. Tested that out and started working. Download went fine, it started updating, all was good. Said update was complete and it was restarting..... Let the fun begin.
About 10 minutes later (I waited this long because I've flashed plenty of ROMs and I know the initial boot can take forever) and it was stuck at Samsung boot logo. On the top left there was a blue message saying "Recovery Rebooting." I restarted again, same thing. Did a battery pull waited a few minutes and still nothing. Wouldn't go into recovery mode, but it did go into download mode. Assumed something was wrong with the recovery so I flashed a custom one. Finally was able to go into recovery so I did factory reset/cache and rebooted. Phone was still stuck at boot logo but this time no blue message. I then found the 4.4.2 KK md5 file online so I flashed that through Odin but same story. Ended up flashing back to stock 4.3 and that's where I'm at now.
Any ideas? Am I stuck without KK forever? The only thing I think there's left to do is go completely stock by removing the Knox counter or whatever that's currently set to 0x1 on my phone. Doing the whole "Triangle away" thing but idk if that'll make a difference.
Sorry for the really long post but I'd prefer to explain everything I've tried so far.
You might have had a bad download from the odin.tar.md5 file redownload and flash again i have heard other pwople say they had to flash it 2 times for it to take and once u do the update to 4.4.2 you cannot revert back to 4.3

I thought rooted phones weren't allowed to update via Kies or OTA.

I guess I'll try to download it again and see if that works. Do you know if that's through Kies or through manually downloading it then using Odin?

Well it seemed to update for me. At least the verification process went through. I used Wanam Xposed and had the fake system status thing checked. Either way something went wrong and didn't finish the updating process and got stuck at boot logo with no recovery options.
The OTA update did not work though. I was able to get the update downloading after Wanam, but once the download finished, the update failed before trying to install. Did not try OTA again though I just went to Kies, then Odin. But all 3 methods failed.

[Q] Bizzare Softbrick

I am happy to be a brand new member of XDA
I am also a noob:/ I have been on this website for a while now and have found nothing for my problem with my SGH-I317 Galaxy Note 2...
My Problem- I installed CWM custom recovery it wokred fine I installed CM 10 (that was a week ago). yestarday I went to turn on my phone when i woke up. It showed the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" and then went CRAZY the logo spazzed and then just turned black. I immediatly went into odin and flashed my only stock rom the SGH-I317 android 4.1.1 because I could only access the download mode. I went to go and do an OTA update to 4.3 (I think I messed up right here). It went fine up until it restarted and and froze on the Galaxy Note 2 logo. I can still access Download mode but I cant get into either stock recovery or the custom recovery mode. I have tried flashing three different stock roms and Odin says it passed but it just reboots and stays on that logo. Please help I am not in the position to buy or replace a new phone (I'm only 14).

[Q] AT&T Samsung Note 2 Possible Soft Brick

Hello all, I'm here today because my note 2 (SGH-I317) seems to be stuck on the samsung logo. I tried using Odin and multiple ROMs, it says "PASS" but it looks like nothing was done to the phone. I can only get into download mode and not recovery, I tried to flash a custom recovery but no dice. I put many hours into finding a solution until I came across "Sudden Death", the device might of have a faulty chipset but there's no knowing for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S, I hope I opened this forum in appropriate location.

I was CM10 which is 4.1.2, I wanted to go to stock so I used Odin to flash back to stock which worked the first time then I installed the OTA update then thats when the problem occurred.
