Hi all
May be downgrade sbf version ?
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
yesterday suddenly turned off when the battery is almost full ...
Hmm you should try connecting the phone to pc and then press the "Power" button right after connecting it,see if you get the LED in front of the phone to bright White,if then then use RSD to reflash firmware.
Goodluck.
i think you shoud charge your defy firstly

likely is dead battery, or else you have some other sbf that screws up your display. trying flashing it with another sbf file and see?
i had the same problem before
Okk, Im buyed a new battery, Monday arrives....
It's most likely your battery is deaded. But if not, your phone might damaged.
You can charge your battery alone by other charger, and then setup the battery
to see whether it work.
did you try flashing the phone again?? in RDS lite, can the computer detect your phone? if not, then it's dead battery, and you can actually use the macgyver method to 'revive' your phone and flash it.
try reading this link

Not work...
vv
what do you mean not work? what sbf did you use to flash with?? it's definitely gonna be better if you can flash a full working sbf instead of a fixed sbf (cos it wont revive your phone)
if your battery is dead, then the macgyver method definitely will work, unless you have a dead battery AND also a non working sbf that is screwing up your display
not a problem of the battery.
A problem of the phone, when connected to pc recognizes it, but 3 seconds off
Now RSD Lite detect this:
http://img703.imageshack.us/i/capturaxl.png/
And when i try to flash any .sbf, boot only, official .sbf appears this:

Any idea ???

Hello,
I have a big problem with my Xperia ARC.
After a downgrade from 2.3.4 to 2.3.2 for rooting purposes and after installing and running GingerBreak v1.2 the device the device suddenly showed 0% battery and went dead.
When I try to charge the device the red led appears, it shows that it's charging but it never turns to green(left it on the charger for 12 hours).
So, no matter what kind of software I try to flash with flashtool it still doesn't work.
Tried the battery at a GSM service and it's ok, aprox 95% still available, also the battery is fully charged.
But when the device boots it only takes for a second and then it shuts down from lack of power(the software shows 0%) although the battery is charged.
Any ideas regarding this issues?
I'm running out of ideas...
Best regards,
Robert
Pull the batt for few seconds and put it in again. It will fix. There is already guide about this issue on other thread.

no luck with that... imagine that I've removed the battery a few dozen times.
If pc companion recognises it via usb then start from scratch, may be a corrupt download.

It does recognize the device, both PC Companion and SEUS.
Butt... they report that "Your phone is up to date".
So I'm left with flashtool and numerous of .ftf files already tried, like :
Lt15i_3.0.1.A.0.145_o2.ftf
LT15i_3.0.A.2.181_HongKong.ftf
LT15i_4.0.A.2.368_Nordic (Telia).ftf
No luck with that either.
Tried with "arc_lt15i_modded.img" but it's designed for an ARC with an unlocked bootloader, mine is not, and keeps looping on reboot.
Can someone help me with a .img file from their ARC in order to use fastboot - one for an locked bootloader?
Best regards,
Robert

Regarding the 2.3.4 question :
The phone, it's a test demo unit.
When I received it had 2.1 installed.
Sent it to SE and when it came back had the 2.3.4.
But not for a long time... Because I went back to 2.3.2 for rooting and... RED LED of death

New info!
Just discovered that my ARC is a "brown" phone aka a prototype.
So this is the reason why both SEUS and PC Companion deny the software update/repair.
Best regards,
Robert
why is your phone brown? Did you unlock bootloader? If so have you tried locking it and then trying seus?

"brown" phone is the generic name for devices that are not for sale,
the devices are given for testing purposes.
As far as I know the bootloader is locked in this ARC, the reason for not succeeding with the update/repair is that my ip address is not in the SEMC list - my guess is that some approved by SE repair shops can help me with an update.
Thanks,
Robert

Hi Robitzza, I've got the same problem here with my NEO. Red LED, 0% battery after running gingerbreak1.2 on 2.3.2 HK.
I have reflashed my NEO to 2.3.2 HK, 2.3.2 Global, 2.3.4HK, no luck.
Also I have removed the battery for one night, still nothing have changed.
I dont think it is a problem with BL, but I could be wrong tho. Im sure the BL is locked. The device can startup normally with cable plugged in, and the system is running smoothly. It shows 0% battery. If I unplug the cable, the device goes down immediately coz of low battery.
I am gonna send my phone to SE if there is nothing else I can do.
Please let me know if you have made any progress. Thanks!
EDIT: Well, may it is the bootloader. One of my friends told me that it could be the battery sensor which is not initialized because of the damaged BL.

Thank you very much for you offer. I will let you know when my phone is in trouble again after warranty.
Same problem for me, tried everything but no gain.... i dn't have my warranty too.. somebody help please,,,
Can someone try this modification of DooMLoRD's advice:
1. flash any stock FTF
2. DO NOT power on device
3. now press back button without release it and directly connect to charger (usb or wall charger) for a few hours [make sure that the offline-charging "animation" is seen on screen] and test if led is green or orange. If it's red, it doesn't work.
4. If it's not red, you can release back button and wait a few hours charging and reboot your phone.

Hello guys.
My Sony Xperia S got Hard bricked after i tried to partition my SDcard from TWRP recovery which unfortunately failed due to some reason.....
I had boot manager installed for dual boot and i had sony stock firmware 6.1.A.2.55 on the native and CM10 on loop ...
The partition was tried in TWRP for loop in Ext4 format
My Xperia S now does not respond to fastboot buttons as well as all other combinations ...
It doesnt light any LED not even while its connected to the charger..
The only thing that happens is when i connect it using USB cable without any combinations and the computer detects it as SEMC flash device..
Is there any method to flash using this mode?
I have tried every method on all the forums.(flashtool, fastboot, taking battery out ,power+vol up,everything )
Guys please i need serios help any experienced suggesions would be helpful ...
Please help :crying:
PS: i had never thought that trying to partition the SDcard would brick my phone..
Did you leave your phone connected to wall charger? How many hours you leave it? Mine SONY logo appear in 8 hours. Try it. It may help. Leave your phone connected yo wall charger for sometime.

How the duck did you take your battery out? It has an INBUILT one, why would you take apart the entire phone?
Then, after telling you how stupidly you did that;
can you go back into the recovery? (probably yes, but it's weird)
Did you ACTUALLY take apart the phone to take the battery out? (probably not)
Do you have an unlocked bootloader? (i think you do, but not sure...)
Do you still have warranty? (probably yes)
Try again, because if the orange LED showed up, it's probably not too late...
Now go and use FlashTool once more...

yes i took the phone apart took the battery out ...waited long enough for the capacitors to discharge and then again put it in...
no i can't get back into the recovery ...i can't even boot the phone and no combination is working
yes i have an unlocked bootloader
no on't have the warranty..
The orange LED glows up while charging only
the phone does not go to fastboot or any other mode so i can't use flash tool
the only thing that comes on the computer when i plug the USB is "SEMC flash device" ....which non of the tools recognise
Guys please ...is there anyone out there who can help me? :crying:
I do believe you DID have warranty up until the moment you took apart the phone (I think the repair service guys would fix your phone without chacking for a locked BL...)

I'm starting to think that my case could be a corrupted bootloader, where I have to use JTag to try to save, but I don't know anyone who have a JTag, neither in my country.
I don't know what could be, but I still entering in flashmode or fastboot and my PC recognize my phone with testpoint, so I think that maybe is not a hardware problem...

Hi, I decided to post it here because it seems that anything I post on Xperia Ion forum is not read, it is inactive.
I already searched everywhere and I'm loosing my hopes. I'm trying to revive an Xperia Ion and this is what I get:
When I plug the phone in the wall charger the red led turns on for some minutes and then turns off.
The same happens when I plug on PC, when the led turns off it is detected as "Somc flash device" in windows device manager and this shows in flashtool:
INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
Nothing changes if I plug in pc with volume + or - pressed, it don't goes into fastboot or flashmode.
I hope you could help me. Thanks

I have the exact problem with my new Xperia Z with the official firmware. The phone keep trying turning on wifi, but still off and Bluetooth also dead as well. No permanat solution so far. I manage to do a temp fix by completely drain the battery until completely dead with no indicator even when pressing the power button and then do a full charge until 100%. But the phone crashes again after few mins of wifi connection, and them wifi die again. However, this does not work all the time. So good luck, I think is faulty hardware anyway.
Either wait for an uptade from Sony (lol) or try to flash a stock rom if your BL is unlocked

If after charging the battery, LED still blinks red than may be your battery is dead.
try changing the battery.
also try connecting the phone in flashmode
- keep pressing the back button & while holding the back button connect the usb cable.
if green LED is on than your phone is still good.
