Soft pouch for Galaxy Nexus

Hi,
Anyone know any soft pouch that would fit the Galaxy Nexus?
For my Nexus S, I am using this:

The material is very soft, and I like that.
I put my Nexus S naked there, without screen protector. And it's still good, shinny, no scratches
So, I am wondering if there is this kind of pouch for the Galaxy Nexus size.

Amazon UK have a range of Bugatti covers (I don't remember if exactly that one was listed, since I'm looking for a holster type case).

Balls to covers/cases. Seem like a waste of time really. If one came with GN then I wouldn't mind (no idea if one does or not).

The buagatti soft cover dimensions I can find: 62 x 112 mm
Galaxy Nexus: 67 mm x 135 mm
I'm sure it would stretch to accomodate the width, but it's no good if the phone is hanging out the top of the pouch.
edit: apparently those dimensions are for the small case though, maybe there's one that would work. Having a hell of a time finding this thing though.

Perhaps so, if it's like the old nexus one case we should be able to stretch it lengthwise a little bit to accommodate the height disparity.
To that end, searching for SL size got a few hits:

Went ahead and ordered one, will try to get some empirical data on whether it will fit the nexus well when I receive it...I figure if my thunderbolt fits and I get x amount of clearance with the height, then we're good

I found a beautiful one, but not yet in stock.

I think I'll be getting that case unless Samsung are kind and include a nice slipcase with the phone.

I dig the design on that, but don't want exposed corners.

I really hope you get a nice case inside the box. I know with my HTC HD2 I got a really sexy leather pouch and I still have even after two years, it's treated my phone well and saved it a few times Hopefully Samsung will be kind and give us one for all the damn confusion there is around this phone...lol

The slip case that came with the Nexus One was amazing. It's the perfect protection for a phone. I like the naked phone handling experience (no cases/screen protectors) and this protects it in your pocket. I wish more OEM's would include one with their phones.

yeah the nexus one case is what I'm all about emulating. I used it on my droid inc since it was the closest thing to a nexus I could get at the time and it fit in the same pouch =)....I miss that pouch!

I just got one of this from Bugatti, size SL
Tested on my friend's SGS2 and it is perfect fit.
But, keep in mind that GN is 5 mm taller. So this Bugatti SL will expose the phone a little bit, which I like. Because that make it easier to grab and pull it off the pouch!

Has anyone fond anything available yet? Any sort of sleeve or pouch?
Phone due next week, and would really like to have something to protect it until more accessories start to drip through around xmas time.

Got the bugatti case in today, testing fit with my thunderbolt as I don't have a GN. It fits just about perfect with this phone, with edges hanging over top just enough to provide some protection. Tbolt is 121 mm versus 136 for the GN, so the GN will definitely be hanging out of this case if used. The material feels more suedey than neoprene and although it feels nice, does not stretch like the old nexus one cases. I don't see it suiting my purposes for the GN as I want the phone fully contained in the pouch.

Additionally...the different material is much more grippy to the phone, it is really hard to get it out of the pouch (unlike the nexus one pouch, sigh!). I'd rate this as not too great for the galaxy nexus if you are trying to emulate the good old nexus one pouch.

I tested bugatti on SGS II and fitted well.
Certainly GN will be hanging out about five mm, but thats ok to have something to hold to release it from the pouch. I have similar like this situation with my Nexus S.
And about the material, you are right, it does not stretch much. But it can stretch! So, I expect it will be better in the long run (stretched).
Unless we dan find another brand ...

Video Review: Otterbox Commuter for HTC One X

Hey guys,
I got my hands on the Commuter series case from Otterbox, for the One X. I'm sure most of you have seen or own a variant of this case. It is a very popular style, composed of two parts, a plastic shell that wraps around a TPU membrane. This model fits particularly well, but not too tight, which I love. It offers fantastic protection, although it is a bit pricey.

bought one for my HOX+ but the top part didn't fit well. it seems it was not "clipping"the upper half properly.

Case mate tough.

I've just taken delivery of a case-mate tough case for my One X after having them previously fitted to my Desire and Sensation. They have always fitted really well, felt good and grippy and offered good protection. This one however feels cheap and non grippy and after fighting with it for five minutes I gave in trying to get it to sit right on the phone. It just plain doesn’t fit! So I’ve printed out my return postage label from Amazon and will send it back for a refund. Very disappointing but the question is, what do I replace it with? Has anyone else had a similar experience with the tough case on their One X and are there any other good alternatives out there?

Amazing, so it would seem that i'm the only person in the world that thinks the tough case for the One x is rubish compared to previous versions! Either Amazon are selling cheap Chinese fake's or case-mate quality has gone down the pan...

I tried the tough and also the pop yesterday. Tough case was cheap and tacky but the pop was terrible. Once on the phone it is a nightmare to remove and you risk damaging your device. Review of the pop on WWW.mobilemaduk.Co.uk

I have the same case and find it perfect to be honest…. Sure its not a fake? (if they even exist)
Got mine from a hight street store though, Amazon marketplace can have fakes on it.
Its snug fit, takes seconds to take off and put back on. The buttons work well and are covered well. The fit between the rubber and the hard shell is spot in, cant tell its two peices to be honest.

Thanks for the info Steve, i suspected it may have been a fake to be honest.
My previous tough cases fitted really well as you say, this one was really poor.
One question for you, both my previous ones had a date wheel molded in to the silicone and the outer shell, this one didn't. Does yours?

You might want to have a look there.

No date wheel on either… but has CaseMate on the inside of the silicone (bit that touches the phone)

Got a casemate from carphone warehouse when I bought my one x. It was a struggle to fit without breaking the device through pressure. Once it was on I found the buttons almost unusable, they didn't seem to line up correctly with the actual phone buttons. Eventually took it off which also nearly broke my device. Worst. Case. Ever.
Best case I've ever had was an otterbox for my desire hd

Just to say, I've got the aforementioned case - it seems to fit my One X cleanly enough.
Mine came from Carphone Warehouse though, not online.

Have you considerd buying the Ballistic SG case? im using it and it just PERFECT. fits my global one x perfectly and its really easy to remove it from your pocket (i had casemate before and it was just terrible).
i bought the at&t version and it fits well to my global one!

I bought my tough case from carphone warehouse to, and it doesn't feel like a normal tough case! The silicone is cheap plus the case feels slippery not the usual high quality I expect from casemate! I had the tough case on my desire and desire hd and galaxy s2 so I know how it should feel!
I have noticed there seems to be 2 different tough cases for the hox, if you look on you tube casemate has a video of it which is the case I have (square cut out for headphone jack) but all other reviews for this case on you tube by others shows a tough case with a different headphone jack cut out and a larger cutout for the speaker on the back of the phone! On my case the writing above the speaker is not visible once the case is on but on the other case you can just see the bottom of the writing at the top of the speaker cutout! Anyone else noticed this? It would be interesting to get feedback!

Just to update you on this, I’ve been to both carphone warehouse and the O2 shop locally and looked at all the tough cases they had in for the One X. None of them had any date stamping and none of them felt as good as my previous tough cases. Then i had a look at a tough case for a SGS3 and it was both date stamped and of nice quality as i would expect. So what's going on here, have CM deliberately made the One X case less good or are they all fakes?
I’ve just been looking at the Ballistic SG case now and that looks like it might be my next case, on Amazon though there’s a 1 to 3 month delivery time!

You could assist me better on this open forum for the benefit of all potential customers. Can you please confirm whether or not all your tough cases should have a date stamp moulded in to them? After further investigation I now have three friends who have a tough case fitted to their Sensations and they all came from Amazon and none of them have the date stamp that mine does. They all feel of inferior quality to mine as did my recent One X purchase.
Has your quality gone down hill or might they be fakes?
I and others await your reply with baited breath...

One week after emailing support as suggested by CaseMate and including a link to this thread, no reply...

Match the dimensions with other phones then look for a pouch made for that phone? Or you can wait for the phone to be released and buy one thats made for it?

Since the Nexus 5 is supposed to be the same size or slighty smaller than the Nexus 4, I recommend two pouches which should be a good fit. The Mofi pouch for something to add protection when putting your phone into knapsack or similar carry bag. ordered from china about $4 each. I think the size i got for my Nexus 4 was 5XL. shipping was about 2 - 3 weeks to USA and Canada

I just wanted to add to this since Buychina can be sometimes difficult to navigate.
This seller has the 5XL in all available colors. This should be able to accommodate the N5 with a case/bumper.

im looking for a pouch/holster as well. the one that goes on my belt. and the nexus 5 is not smaller than the nexus 4, its bigger.

For my N4, i am using the Diztronic case and the mofi pouch. The N4 with the Diztronic case fits in the 5x mofi pouch. I seem to remember that the 4x mofi worked with the bare N4.
My Diztronic case for the N5 should arrive tomorrow. I will post the fit tomorrow.
PS If I can locate the mofi kangaroo pouch, I will also give some feedback on that pouch.

Currently my Nexus 4 fits a wonderful Sena Cases Ultraslim pouch designed for HTC One X.
I would like to buy the HTC One model for my brand new Nexus 5, but i'm a bit worried about the section, the pouch will be too big?

I'm using a 3 way accessory case by Timbuk2 for my Nexus 4. It was a little long for the 4 so I'm betting it's going to be perfect for the Nexus 5. It's lined with a nice fuzzy liner and has a pocket suitable for ID, money, credit cards and it can be put on a belt or where I normally use it on my messenger bag.

I've always been a fan of the original Sony PSP neoprene pouches for my phones. Nothing fancy but good protection. Works great for the rumbles of a golf cart which is about as rough as I ever need.

Same, I love my bugatti Skinny Pouch. Really hoping the N5 will fit it.
The only problem I think is the heigth, because the N5 is only 0.4 wider and 0.5 thinner so I guess it will even out nicely.

I have a Bugatti case for my N4 and it's great. The N5 doesn't fit as well because it's a bit taller. I'll try and get some images up for you tomorrow.
I'd like to get another slim case as well. How fully Bugatti makes a pouch that's a little bigger.

I tried XL slimcase in store but N5 just floats in it because it's to large, but they didn't have any other version to try it out.

I just found and ordered the Happer leather pouch from amazon. Bit expensive at $50, looks bland compared to the dodo pouches but not much options are available for the N5. Will receive this on Tuesday, will share more more details on how it feels then.

I use this one. It is meant for the Z30 but works the same with the Nexus 5 and I quite like the red little accents on the sides. Plus I have access to the volume rocker on the sides.
